Review of Dyal Singh College, Delhi University.
Placements: Companies often come to our college for placement, but the package they offer is not more than 2 LPA or 2.5 LPA, which I think you can get outside college without a degree from DU. Delhi University offers good placement only if you are from a top-tier college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is really good and big. The canteen food is really good and well-cooked, they even offer veg and non-veg both with good taste. The college has everything a DU college has to offer within the campus facilities, from sports to events to studies.
Faculty: The faculty, curriculum, and exam pattern are the same as other DU colleges. It’s not that good, but I think exposure is more important for a student at DU than the exam pattern. College semester exams are not that hard to pass but require dedicated preparation of at least 6 hours approximately.
Other: Society events and cultural events are a big factor of DU, they are really amazing.

Yes I am dissatisfied with the college.
Placements: I have generally not heard about placements from my department students who try for IIT JAM and other field jobs. some go for UPSC government exams students come here to do coaching and other curricular activities which develop their personality physically as well as mentally.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is okok not too good mostly washrooms GATE doesnot have latch. Library is fine and canteen requires cleanliness also the classroom are cheated as in summer there in no proper ventilation and fans working, also no edu comp classes held.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful if you are regular usually students study just for the sake of exams, not seriously and most of the teachers focus on the quick covering of the syllabus In the end students have to study on their own. Stone hardly managed to pass due to their carelessness.
Other: There are a lot of groups in our batch. No fest no alumni, not good crowd students are much involved in politics.

B.A. (Hons.) in Geography - Batch of 2027
3.2
3Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Good Learning Experience in Geography with Great Campus Life, but Curriculum Could Use Some Update.
Placements: The B.A. (Hons.) The geography course at Dyal Singh College offers decent placement opportunities. Around 18.45% of undergraduate students secure placements, with a median salary package of 5 Lacs per annum. Top recruiters include KPMG, Genpact, Wipro, TCS, NIIT, BYJU, and L&T. The college also facilitates internships through its active placement cell, with notable organizations like National Geographic and Sony BBC Earth offering opportunities. While specific roles for Geography graduates are not detailed, students commonly secure positions like Business Development Associate, Analyst, and Teacher. For precise details, it’s best to contact the college’s placement cell or visit their website.
Infrastructure: Dyal Singh College offers excellent infrastructure for Geography students, including well-equipped laboratories with advanced cartographic tools, satellite imagery, and GIS software for practical learning. The college has spacious, ventilated classrooms and a well-stocked library. While there are no on-campus hostels, students can find nearby accommodation. The medical room provides first aid and basic healthcare services, and emergencies are referred to a nearby hospital. The canteen serves affordable, nutritious food, and sports facilities for volleyball, cricket, football, and more to encourage a healthy lifestyle. Overall, the college ensures a supportive environment for both academics and extracurricular activities, fostering all-round student development.
Faculty: The Geography faculty at Dyal Singh College is highly qualified, with most teachers holding Ph.D. and M.Phil. degrees. Students appreciate their supportive and approachable nature, which creates a positive learning environment. The course curriculum balances theoretical and practical aspects, ensuring a well-rounded education, though its direct industry relevance may vary. Semester exams are considered manageable with consistent effort, and the pass percentage is approximately 70%. The department’s focus on diverse specializations and practical exposure equips students with a solid foundation for further studies or careers. Overall, the teaching quality and curriculum provide a strong academic experience for geography enthusiasts.
Other: As a Geography (Hons.) student at Dyal Singh College, I chose this course because of my passion for understanding the interaction between humans and the environment. The hands-on fieldwork, GIS training, and engaging lab sessions are the best parts of the program. However, more industry-specific workshops and updated technologies in the curriculum would be a great addition. Campus life is lively, with vibrant events, an annual fest, and a friendly, diverse crowd. The central location ensures easy connectivity, and the surrounding areas are perfect for relaxing after classes. Scholarships and extracurricular activities further enrich the overall experience, making college life fulfilling.

Everything about Dyal Singh College.
Placements: The college placements are average. Around 50% of students get placed. The highest salary package offered is 21 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiters for computer science include TCS, Wipro, and startups. Internships are limited, but students with skills can secure off-campus opportunities. Delhi University tag provides an advantage. Common roles offered include tester, developer, and junior associate developer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. There is a large campus, a well-stocked library, and reliable Wi-Fi. Labs and classrooms are well-equipped. Hostel facilities are not available, but affordable PG options are nearby. The canteen offers varied food at affordable prices. The college organizes cultural events and has a strong alumni network. Overall, the college provides a well-rounded education and a great learning experience.
Faculty: Our teachers are well-educated, experienced, and helpful. All professors are Ph.D. scholars. Some teachers can be arrogant, but that's a minor issue. Semester exams are moderate. Papers are set by University of Delhi. Studying 10 days before exams yields decent marks, while 2-3 days is enough to pass. The failure rate is very low. Faculty members are supportive. They encourage us in extracurricular activities.
Other: I'm pursuing a B.Sc. Hons CS in this college due to personal reasons. The course syllabus is similar to B.Tech CS and is updated. My experience is good, but the college should focus on encouraging creativity and providing real-life experience through internships. The college fest is average, but being a part of Delhi University, you can attend other DU college fests.

Satisfied with the faculty and college societies. The teachers are good and helpful.
Placements: There is no placement in our course as such except for some private as well as government internships. We also have to prepare for CUET PG exam and start struggling to get job as a professor, which is very difficult as there is very few vacancy left for permanent professors or we have only one option left to prepare for government jobs like UPSC, SSC, BPSC, etc. We get only internships in content writing or poster making; that's the only internship placement cell gives us, which is mostly non-paid; they only give us a certificate.
Infrastructure: We have two geography labs Wi-Fi is available in the in the bamboo room and classes with stars are also available. The library is very good, and course-related books, articles, and newspapers are available. Wi-Fi is also available in library and canteen food is good. It's one of the largest and it's price is quite affordable.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and some of them are very helpful too. Teaching quality is also good, but it does not make a student industry ready as, after graduation, they don't have many options for their career. Semester exams are moderate; 40% are required to pass.
Other: I chose this course because I was very keen on geography in my school days. Some teachers are very good, as they helped us personally with many problems. They should add some new skill enhancement course (SEC) so students can develop their skills and earn some money so that they can manage their pockets money events are very common in our amphitheater. Fests are organized two times a year by different societies and departments, which is not a good thing. They can organize event together, which will be more attractive and enjoyable full crowd is very good connectivity is also good, as there is a metro station outside our college campus that is surrounded by government offices and the JLN Stadium. I don't know much about scholarships, as we get admission through the CUET exam. Extracurricular activities are available, like NCC, CRICKET, VOLLEYBALL, FOOTBALL, etc.
