The infrastructure quality of our UIET is very good enough.
Placements: Here, the college provides placements to students yearly, and approximately 65 percent are placed every year. The placement process starts with a placement orientation that gives us a proper understanding of placements and how to prepare accordingly to qualify for interviews. They also offer smart tips and motivational talks from placed students.
Infrastructure: The Ratnavali festival is specially held at UIET Kurukshetra on Haryana Day. Many festivals like Diwali, Holi, and some Shahid Jayanti are celebrated on the UIET Kurukshetra campus. There are three libraries on campus, so we don't have any problems accessing books.
Faculty: The faculty is well qualified and experienced. Sometimes it's hard to grasp the depth of what they are explaining. The exam pattern includes three monthly tests, and they will consider the best of the two scores. There are two semesters in a year, with a total of six monthly tests.

Applied earth science under a single roof and the dearth of opportunities.
Placements: The placement in-take of every batch is 25 students, and out of the last batch passed out, two are working in ONGC as a geophysicist, one in Bhabha Atomic Research Centre as scientist-B, and eight others in DGH, Oil India LTD, Cairn, Asian Oil Fields. Research Associates in CSIR, NGRI, ISR, Wadia Institute of Himalayan, Geology, etc.
Infrastructure: The department of DST-FIST sponsored and runs M.Sc(Tech) three years postgraduate programme with low-temperature thermochronology lab, and it's own seismic observatory that records broadband ground motion intensity and work is being done on teleseismic earthquakes. Recently, Dr RBS Yadav has been allotted with government project worth 70 lacs. Complete Wi-Fi connectivity is provided in the campus, with departments own library, and hence, the course being professional is not only aided, but also affordable providing SEG/SPG memberships for their exposure at a global platform.
Faculty: The department itself is a hub of earth science studies owing to its gravimeter CG-5 and magnetometer, and many other instruments and infrastructural facilities. The staff members are well-qualified with everyone being a researcher and working on their respective projects and assist the students in every work. Every year, we are providing compulsory field training and internship and projects during the year break. There are five professors, three assistant professors, and 10 PhD scholars in the department. The course is flexible yet interesting regarding more practical exposure to theoretical elaborations.

The review of geophysics department.
Placements: Last year 2 students got placed in BARC and ONGC through GATE exam. ONGC salary package ranges from Rs. 50,000 per month to Rs. 1,00,000 per month for freshers. Data code, Asain oil field, Parsan and overseas companies visited geophysics department students. The students were selected as a geophysicist in all companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Geophysics department is very good, and it also has very good faculty. Two computer labs are there, one geophysical processing data lab and two geology labs in geophysics department. Very good food quality of food is available in the canteen. Hostels rooms are very good. I did not face any issues during my tenure.
Faculty: The faculty are very helpful. Our chairman Bhagwan Singh Chaudhary sir and S. Teotia sir are very good teachers. Their teaching methods are very good. There is 1 teacher per 10 students. All teacher are PhD qualified in NET and also got an international fellowship. Geophysics department also provides three international societies for students like SEG, SPG, AAPG.
Other: Gravity and magnetic instrument are newly introduced in geophysics department. Geophysics department organized many events like international women day, blood donation camp and many events. Connectivity is very good to students.

There is good environment for study. There are good faculty, better placements and good labs.
Placements: Earlier, placements were very good. Since the price of oil is down, it affected the placements in the department. Here, most of the students (approximately 35%) can score a good rank in GATE exams, so they get selected in reputed companies such as ONGC, Oil India, BARC, Schlumberger etc. very easily. In 2017, out of 16 students, two students were selected in ONGC, one was selected in BARC, four were selected in ISR, Gujarat, 2 students got admission at IIT, Roorkee for PhD. Two students joined NGRI, Hyderabad as a project assistant. It means, out of 16 students, 11 were placed, and other students are also working good in their fields. The highest salary for last year was 1.4 lakhs per month as a fresher, and the lowest salary was Rs. 35,000 per month as a fresher. It also has a placement cell. Mostly, every student got the summer internship, some of them are paid, and some of them are self-sponsored. Students get approximately Rs. 10,000 monthly during the summer internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. Department has its own building for teaching, and another building for seismology, observatory, and one building for Asia's only "thermochronology lab for rock age dating" are available. Department has its own library and two computer labs. There is one geology lab for students. Several kinds of very costly instruments are there for research work, for example, gravity meter, resistivity instrument, seismic instrument, a lab for interpretation of data. Department has a digital classroom and a big seminar room. Department used to organise several sports and game events as extra-curricular activities. Lab quality is excellent. Hostel rooms are so nice.
Faculty: Teachers are highly educated and very helpful for each student. They provide quality education to students. They recommend good books for reading, and regular classes are necessary. In case of irregularities, they are very much strict. The strength of students is 20 to 23 per class. But seats for admission are 25 in this course.
Other: Department organises alumni meet every year. They have SPG cell, SEG and APG cell. Wi-Fi connection is available 24*7. They provide the scholarship for reservation category students. They also arrange a good scholarship for bright students.
