Candidate who have passed HSC i.e., 10+2 in any one of the Vocational Subject (Basic Mechanical Engineering/ Basic Electrical Engineering/ Basic Electronics Engineering/ Basic Civil Engineering/ Basic Automobile Engineering/ Textile Technology) with any one of the Engineering related subjects namely Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry with above mentioned minimum average percentage put together are also eligible to apply.

Candidate must have passed VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. from schools situated in Tamil Nadu.
Tamil Nadu native candidate who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. or their equivalent exam from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply. They should produce Original Nativity Certificate.
Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years can be eligible to apply.
Sons & daughters of All India service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply. A Self declaration from the parent in this regard is to be produced.
Children of employees in the Public Sector or Government recognized institutions had been working in their organisations for the past five years are also eligible, irrespective of their domicile.

This college is the best in class.
Placements: Around 70% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 1.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Square Yards, GEP, Axis Bank, Motilal Oswal, etc. Around 20-30% of students get internships from reputed companies, and students get to know about various financial aspects.
Infrastructure: It provides great facilities and good infrastructure in this college. It includes a full range of Wi-Fi for the students as well as teachers. It has a classroom fully air-conditioned, a library, playground, canteen, indoor game court, etc. The hostel facilities are excellent, and students get healthy and tasty food.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They always encourage students and spread great information. This course curriculum is relevant. The semesters are easy as they provide a question bank before the exams, students find a way easy to score great marks. The passing percentage is 40%.

It is a good college and is environment friendly.
Placements: Almost every student got placed in the college. Approximately 500-700 students were offered an average salary package varying from 4 LPA-5 LPA. Approximately, 90-100 students got a salary package of about 10 LPA-12 LPA, and around 50-60 students got a salary package of about 16 LPA-18 LPA. About 2-4 students got a deluxe salary package of about 36 LPA - 40 LPA. Almost 30% of the students were offered internships in MNCs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was under construction, but the building which was already constructed was awesome. There were spacious classrooms, a good library, and labs. Wi-Fi connection was also provided with fast internet speed. Food quality was pretty good in VIT as compared to other colleges. Every required facility was provided for students.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was outstanding, and teachers also provided notes. The course curriculum was relevant, but it doesn't make students industry-ready because the education syllabus was old and needs to be changed.
Other: Teachers were very supportive on campus attending, and the arrangement of everything was appreciable. Every year, our college organises festival celebrations.

Infrastructure: The Mechanical Engineering department at Francis Xavier Engineering College is considered better compared to other departments. The faculty in Mechanical Engineering is good, with experienced staff, although some staff members are very strict.

The college is good and has good infrastructure.
Placements: The college has an effective placement cell and aims to provide 100% placements. Most of the students from our batch were placed in top companies like Amazon, Genpact, Capgemini, AON Hewitt and many more. The highest package offered for our batch was 4.5 LPA, and the average package was 2.5 LPA. Internship opportunities are provided in the field of digital marketing.
Infrastructure: We have 2-3 labs with proper and updated desktops. Books in the library are sufficient to read and learn. The book bank is enough for each student to gain knowledge. The canteen is good, but the food served is not so good because it has hygiene problems. A sports day is celebrated at different venues.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, highly qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is outstanding, and the teachers provide notes simultaneously. This course is curriculum relevant, but it doesn't make the students industry-ready because the syllabus is old and needs to be updated.
Other: The teachers are very supportive. The arrangement of everything is appreciable. It's a safe place for girls.

College is good, but it is slightly strict.
Placements: Our college has good placements for mechanical department students, with many placed in companies offering gold salary packages of 12 lakhs per annum from different companies like TVS, Yamaha, Renault, etc. The college is good at providing placements with at least a 5 LPA salary.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are very good here, and you can access free Wi-Fi with 1 GB of internet per day by logging in with your phone number. The faculty is quite strict, though some of them are friendly. There is one rule: they can book you in the official link, and if you are booked more than three times, your attendance will be blocked.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful in placing you in jobs, and they provide coaching if you fail in the internal exams. The coaching classes run until 7 o'clock, so you should stay in college and study the subject to easily qualify for the exam.
