The infrastructure of our college is bad. However, it is good at providing technical knowledge.

Placements: Placements are provided for the students of computer and IT branches, but the students of civil, mechanical and electrical branches have very few placements. The average package offered is 4 LPA. Overall, it is a good college for graduation in computer science and IT departments. I am a civil engineering student.

GCOE Amravati in a glance.

Placements: All the branches had 100% placement. Mechanical saw the best placement. Followed by Information Technology, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering and so on. Companies such as L&T, Kirloskar, Cognizant, Infosys, Persistent, Wipro, John Deere, BPCL etc. Visited the campus.

You have to study a lot after graduating to prove yourself because this degree os not worthy.

Placements: This college is charging a lot fees as it an autonomous body of government. Of Maharashtra so one should think that the placement and infrastructure must be good here but that's not a story. Only 7 of the 75 students were placed in my batch. The highest salaries is only 4lakhs. No core companies visited. So even if you are electrical student you have to go for software company. But one thing is good here that IT and CS have good scope in placements here with a the highest package of 7.5lakhs. Th...

Dissatisfied with sports and faculty members, but the placements are good.

Placements: The students in our senior batch got maximum placements from Wipro and Cognizant companies. The number of placements for our batch is good enough. The highest package offered from the last 5 years is about Rs. 6.66 LPA by Cognizant and the lowest package is Rs. 3.20 LPA. Almost 65% of the students from computer science and information technology branches got placed. The students of other branches also got placed in IT companies.

I'm not satisfied with the infrastructure and teaching methodology. The placements are not good.

Placements: The placement cell of our college is located on the ground floor of the administrative building, but according to our college reputation, it does not stand well in their work. About the internships, they do not take any initiative to provide internships to the students. Hardly core companies come to our college for the placements. The job we get is only of IT companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, etc. Only 5 of our seniors got placed from their batch with a maximum package of 4 LPA. The minimum pac...

Overall, it is an average college.

Placements: I have passed 2nd year currently, and the placements of my senior batch were quite good. About 80-90% of the students from our branch got placed. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was 7 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was about 3.5 LPA. Companies like TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Persistent, Fiat, Hela, Reliance, L&T, etc., visited our campus for placements. The roles generally offered to the students of our branch were related to testing.

Good teaching staff, better infrastructure, Less placement.

Placements: Regarding Civil Engineering. I would say that placement was really less through campus.20% say. L&T, Reliance Infra, Oman and UltraTech were among the few companies who visited and 15 students were selected out of 75 students Salary offered was in between 3.25 Lacs and 4.50 Lacs.

Faculties are much satisfying, placements are not so good, and infrastructure could be better.

Placements: The placement rate at this College is really low. The number of companies coming to the college of engineering are really low- 2-3 companies for electrical branch & 5-6 for CS and IT departments. Campus selection for electrical branch is really low. And it is 5-7 students for electrical branch. The starting payments is from 3 to 6.5 Lacs maximum for electrical students. In short, college does not give you surety to be placed.

Old but not good as it used to be. Level of teaching, placements decreasing exponentially every year

Placements: About 60-70% get placed of CSE discipline on median package around 3.5lpa. Most of the companies visiting campus are service based like TCS, Cognizant etc. The lowest package is 2.9lpa and the highest is 6.5lpa during placement season during academic year 2017-18. Mostly roles offered for CSE discipline candidates are assistant engineer, software engineer, associate engineer etc.

Shift this college to a large city, and then it will be the best college.

Placements: This year, around 7-8 companies visited for the campus recruitment. The campus placements are moderate with companies giving packages in the range of 3-5 LPA. The campus placement has improved this year compared to the academic year 2016-17. The companies such as TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, NEML, Cerium Systems, etc., visited the college for the campus recruitment. The students who have been recruited are generally for the post of an assistant trainee in the company.

Satisfied, but not more than 60%.

Placements: There are no placements of our batch as I'm in 3rd year. Campus selection is only for the final year students. In our college, CS and IT department students mostly get placed as compared to all other departments. In other departments like civil, electrical, and mechanical, very few students get placed.

The reality of Government College of Engineering Amravati.

Placements: In the current scenario, we have about 20-25 students placed in a class of 72 from a 4th year with the highest salary of 3.5 lacs per annum and the lowest of 2.75 lacs per month. There is a placement cell which is very active and works for the betterment of student, but in the past years, the placement has gone down drastically owing to improper result and knowledge in students regarding industries, and it's working. The internship is on students and college doesn't help apart from giving permis...

Placements: There are fair placements across the departments with leading recruiters recruiting in large numbers. Companies like the Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, NVidea, John Deere, Fluor, Hella, GE, Larsen and Toubro Limited, Shapoorji Pallonji Contracting Engineers, etc., visit the college. The inside story of government college of engineering Amravati.

Placements: There are zero placements for the civil branch in core companies. You can apply for other software firms that hang around the campus often for other branches. Retail companies do try their luck in the college sometimes. Otherwise, in placement wise, Gcoea is bad for the civil branch.

Great college for placements and extra curriculars but a bad one in case of infrastructure.

Placements: The college is well known for its placements. Mostly for computer science and IT, there are 100% placements. But this is not the case with other branches. Every year, Cognizant and Wipro are our main campus companies along with some other companies. But this year, we had very little placement through campus. So we needed to go for open campus interviews as well and students did well in that. The credit for it goes to student development program which is being organized in the summer between thi...

Placements: About 50 students among 60 are placed from our batch. The highest package was 4.5 LPA and the lowest was 2.5 LPA. Following companies have visited the campus for the computer branch: Cognizant, Zade Global, L&T, (TechLink, Excellon, Global Logic, Tudip, TechM, Bitwise, Zensor, Bigzense, Cybage, TCS)(off-campus). Not satisfied with the placement policies of T&P.

Placements: The placement is good only for computer science. Usually, 90-95 % got placements(CS). This year, it was 80%(CS). The college is not good for internships. I got an internship offer but I was not allowed to go. Because you must have 75% attendance to appear for the exam. No one ever goes for the internship from BTech. The highest package is 4 LPA, the lowest is 2.5 LPA and the average is 3 LPA.

Govt. College of Engineering Amravati or 'GCOEA' as we call it, is one of the premier autonomous govt. institutes in the state of Maharashtra. It is ranked 39 in the latest survey by outlook. The campus is spread over 105 acres although the buildings are pretty much cranked up close to each other and most of the parts of campus are just in wilderness. The infrastructure is quite good and if you look at it from outside, you will actually be impressed. The inside facilities on the other hand that ...
