It is a good college for UG but not for PG.

Placements: Though the college has a good status in the Vidarbha region, the placements provided are not up to the mark. For environmental engineering, not a single company visits here for placements. The placement rate is literally 0%. There is no industry exposure for PG students as they also don't allow students for industry-oriented projects.

It is a college with a million opportunities.

Placements: The percentage of students placed varies depending on factors like the number of students who appear for interviews, and the number of students actually continued till the 4th year (8th semester) of college. The packages offered are around 4-5.5 LPA for field jobs. IT jobs are offered with a bit higher packages. If a student is not doing an internship, then it becomes compulsory for the student to do a project.

Our college is very good for CS and IT students because of placements.

Placements: Campus placements are good for CS and IT students, but for other branches, it is not that good. Good institute but campus recruitment drive should be arranged.

Placements: No company visit the college for a recruitment drive, especially for this PG course. But It is the fact that the students passing out from this institute goes with a brand name of GCOEA. Regarding the internship, the college does not arrange such internships for the students. The students themselves have to approach industries and arrange the internship.

Review of Government College of Engineering, Amravati.

Placements: For IT and CS branches, There were 100% placements. But for core branches like civil, mechanical and electrical, there were below 50% placements. Students were mostly inclined towards further studies because placements of the core branches were declining. So for non-core branches, it is a good college in placement wise.

Placements: College is good. At least 10 to 20 companies visit the college every year. Training and placement committee is good. They prepare you for aptitude and interviews as well. They conduct a mock interview and aptitude sessions for the students. The ambience is good where you get to prepare more.

Based on students marks and rank, students deserve this college as they won't get better than this.

Placements: The placements are not good in our college. Only 2-3 companies visit with an average package of 3-4 LPA are only expected. For the core branches, placements are negligible, but for CS and IT from past 2-3 years, placements have increased, and the average package also increased but with a minimal increase in amount.

Profiles offered were more or less the same. The placement cell was very active. I am thankful to professor M. Deshmukh.
