Gcek- the best engineering college in northern Kerala.

Faculty: Most of the faculty members are well-educated and experienced. They are very friendly and maintain a good relationship with students. The college is under APJ Abdul Kalam Technology University, and our batch follows KTU's 2019 scheme. It is a little bit older, but KTU is going to introduce a new scheme in 2024. In each semester, there are two series exams and one semester exam. Exams are easy to pass if you have an understanding of the subjects. In the 2024 batch's results, we had a 77.6% pass p...

My dream college-GCE Kannur.

Faculty: In most of the departments, experienced, capable faculty members are there. Their teaching experience and care for each student make it unique. Every faculty member is well-behaved and doesn't hesitate to teach anyone. They guide us in a proper way in our project and seminar too. In our final year project, we were able to work without any difficulty because of the facilities in the lab and the lab assistance we got. Semester exams are quite tough, although we get a pass percentage of 70% or abov...

Review of Government College of Engineering Kannur.

Faculty: Our course and college come under the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. And it is almost on par with the engineering curriculum of major institutions in India and abroad. The faculty at GCEK is highly qualified for all departments. Due to the active involvement of students and the Student Union, some revolutionary changes are being made to the curriculum and study patterns.

One of the best emerging colleges in Kerala.

Faculty: Since it is a government college, the faculty members are highly educated. Our department is NBA accredited and is highly recognised. Follows the curriculum of KTU and is pretty relevant. The exams are moderate to easy difficult. The pass percentage is 40.

Our college gives good vibes to students.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are very good and well educated with Ph.Ds in their subjects. Teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are a bit tough but not if students work hard.

Our college provides great infrastructure.

Faculty: Our teachers are helpful and well-qualified. They do not provide notes so we have to refer textbooks for exams. Attendance is the reason why most of us attend classes. Around 75% of attendance is compulsory in this college. The course curriculum is relevant.

Our college has an average campus with good facilities, but the exposure is pretty low.

Faculty: Our faculty members are good. They are well-experienced because it is a government college and their knowledge is high. Many teachers are experienced. Ph.D. holders are there from IITs. Their way of explaining things is so good that we will be able to understand quickly.

If you are looking for an amazing campus life and good placements, GCEK is a good choice.

Faculty: The quality of education is good. Faculty members are average. Professors are very helpful. Placement training is provided to students. KTU syllabus is hard. Exams are difficult. Internal marks play a good role in academics. Internal exams are evaluated for 50 marks and external exams are evaluated for 100 marks. The pass percentage is average.

This college is an excellent place for an engineer.

Faculty: Since it's a government college, teachers are recruited through the public service commission. Their teaching quality is also good. Most of them have Ph.D. and everyone had a master's degree. Actually, the syllabus is decided by the university and not by the college. The syllabus is average.

The college has really good infrastructure and facilities.

Faculty: All the faculty members in the mechanical department are Ph.D. holders, and also in almost all other departments. Teachers have proper knowledge of their subjects. The teaching methodologies include both theoretical and practical. The course content was updated after 2017 when KTU came into place, and now the curriculum is more relevant to today's world and is helpful in making students industry-ready.

Placement good, infrastructure medium, hostel and mess facilities are worth.

Faculty: Faculty of CS department is good. Curriculum is based on ktu. Before every sem exam 2 series exams are conducted to make students prepared. Guest lectures are there and have good teaching skills. But don't expected it from all teachers. At the end of the day it is us who have to write exam.

We get great experience in college.

Faculty: Most of our teachers are very cooperative. We are not stressed out by our teachers, and each student is left to study for themselves. Most of our teachers teach very well and make sure that every student understands, but like most government colleges, a few of our teachers are very hard to get through. The curriculum is outdated. We follow the KTU syllabus and our faculty members say it needs updation. Students are industry-ready after this course only if they self-study extensively. The semeste...

I am satisfied because of its faculty members, placements, and good facilities.

Faculty: Teachers were very friendly, and helpful. Most faculty members had Ph.D. qualifications, some faculty had industrial experience. The course curriculum was very relevant. The old syllabus was updated by this university and the syllabus was very relevant. The semester was difficult. The pass percentage was around 75%.
