The college has good infrastructure.

Placements: 20% students have been placed from Government College of Engineering, Salem. Remaining 80% students are finding their own jobs in off campus. 100% students got internships from my course in companies like zoho, salesforce, etc.

I am averagely satisfied with the college.

Placements: In the CSE branch course nearly 90-100 % of students who attended the campus interview got placed with a average package of 4-5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Zoho and Chezhatronics. The highest package was around 7 LPA. Overall the placement is not that good because of the location. Salem doesn't attract a lot of recruiting companies as Coimbatore and Chennai.

I recommend this college for students from poor backgrounds.

Placements: 8 out 120 students got placed in our department, that is below 5%. The average package offered is below 3 Lacs per annum, and half of them got placed in the IT sector. The remaining students got placed in core companies. All of them got internships in their third year holidays.

It is an awesome college for engineering students.

Placements: In our college, placements are not assured. It may change from year to year depends upon the company's terms and conditions. Almost 80% of the students got an internship from our course in companies.

The college is not good for placement purpose.

Placements: Only 65% of the students got placed in our course. In our course, the highest salary package offered is 6.5 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 2.4 LPA and the average salary package offered is 3.6 LPA. TCS is the top recruiting company for our course. Just 65% of the students got an internship in 8 companies. Site engineer is the top role offered in our course.

Good college when compared with other private colleges.

Placements: The placements for our batch are less when compared with the previous batch. The percentage of our seniors placed was about only 50 percent. The highest salary offered by the company is 600000 LPA, and the lowest package was about 200000 LPA. Only a few students got internships and there is a placement cell in our college.

A good place to enjoy the college life and a difficult place to get placed

Placements: Placements were not up to the expectation. It is difficult to get placed in core companies. Very few core companies visited. All other non-IT field people attended placements for the IT field and got placed. A few reputed IT companies come for placement.

GCE,Salem is very well known Government college in Salem District. It is also called as Karuppur Engineering College since it is the name of the place where it is situated. It is the only government college having metallurgic department. It also has a planetarium. It is one of the best college in Salem district in terms of infrastructure and education standards.

I am absolutely dissatisfied with the faculty members and principal sir of our college.

Placements: From our senior batch, many students got placed in IT companies, and only some students got placed in core companies. More than 30 companies visited our college for placements. There is a placement cell in our college. Many kinds of roles were offered to students.
