It is a really good option if you truly want to study and explore.

Placements: Most of the students get placed here because we are studying in one of the best colleges in Trivandrum. Well-reputed companies like Infosys, Wipro, IBM, IBS, RM, etc., offer many placement opportunities to bright students. Most of the students got placed in IT, electrical and electronics branches, while only a few placement opportunities are available for the mechanical and civil departments.

Review of Government Engineering College, Barton Hill.

Placements: Though most of the students from our batch got placed, none of them got a salary package above the lowest salary package of 3 LPA to 3.6 LPA. Companies which visited here were all software firms, and mechanical and electrical companies didn't visit. The worst thing is the placement cell justifies this by informing that certain software firms deal with IoT and hence can be considered as core electronics placements. But as an EEE student, none of the core firms visited for placements. Our college ...

I am dissatisfied with the college atmosphere.

Placements: Placements here are very low for civil engineering students, and they are mostly placed in IT companies. Around 10-20 students from a batch of 60 students got placed. The highest salary package offered was 4.5 LPA. The top role offered by a civil engineering based company was a site supervisor.

One of the best colleges for taking up Mechanical Engineering.

Placements: The placement opportunities by the CGPU in the campus is good but not excellent. There are a few companies which were non IT but majority was IT. It's normal given the demand, but we expect more guidance as far as placements are concerned. The avg salary package was about 4 LPA. There hasn't been a Mechanical core company yet and is neither expected.

The college with less space, so built vertically.

Placements: About 40 per cent were placed from the course. The highest offer was 5 LPA and the lowest was 3.5 LPA. TCS, INFOSYS, MITSOGO, were the top recruiters. Since the university complies us to get internships compulsory to complete the courses, it is done by every student. Most people get an internship at the southern railway.

The college is not good in academics and also other activities.

Placements: The college is not good placements-wise. It placements provided are very poor. The interviews are good, but students who have backlogs in many subjects could not qualify for the written tests. The roles offered are not good. Companies that come for placements are mostly from the information technology field.
