College facilities and management.

Placements: Students can enroll themselves for placements starting from the 4th year. Companies that come for placements are mainly in the IT field. Placements for civil and mechanical are less than other departments. The percentage of students getting placed is less than 50%.

A small college but a good one

Placements: Around 70 percent of the students are getting placed. But the thing is, LPA is very low. 7 LPA (Lacs Per Annum) was the highest package offered for the information technology branch this year and in the whole college too, and it was offered by CARESTACK. The average package offered by the company is up to 4.5 LPA. Companies like UST, Tata ELXSI, TCS, Speridean Technologies, SADA, Qburst, Infosys, and Federal Bank have come. Internships are not offered by the college; we have found them on our ow...

A quiet campus tucked away in the heart of Trivandrum city.

Placements: Almost all the students who have cleared their backlogs have been placed. However, most of the placements are from IT companies. The Core companies in other branches range from rarely to None. There is hope for the future branches as the placement cell is improving considerably.

If you are looking for good friends and academics, this will be a good choice.

Placements: Don't expect core company placement. Only IT companies are coming. Average Salary: INR 25–35 per month Almost all the students who attended the placement got jobs. If you know basic coding skills, that's just enough to get into placement classes provided by colleges. YouTube will be helpful.

It is an entertaining college.

Placements: Our seniors got an 80%placement. Almost all had been placed in good companies. TCS, UST Global, etc., were some of the companies they were placed in. Some got placed in cognizant. IT students have much higher placements chances than other batches here. For the other batches, even though they have placements, it's quite low.

It's a good college but needs to improve its placements.

Placements: Around 50-60% of students were placed in various top MNCs, and students are offered top roles in their respective companies. Salary packages range from 3 Lacs per annum to 9 Lacs per annum. Almost all the students secured internship opportunities via workshops, and some of them were able to secure their internship opportunities in their first year of their course itself.

It is a very good college to study B.Tech.

Placements: Our college has a high number of placements. The pass percentage is about 71%, which is in 4th place among the engineering colleges in Kerala. Dell, HP, Microsoft, and Infosys are some examples of recruiting companies. In the previous year, there were a lot of seniors who got placed for these companies.

It is a really good option if you truly want to study and explore.

Placements: Most of the students get placed here because we are studying in one of the best colleges in Trivandrum. Well-reputed companies like Infosys, Wipro, IBM, IBS, RM, etc., offer many placement opportunities to bright students. Most of the students got placed in IT, electrical and electronics branches, while only a few placement opportunities are available for the mechanical and civil departments.

Our college offers a good environment for placements and to improve our skills.

Placements: I am in the third year in IT course. About 60% of the students get placed every year. Companies offered the salary package ranges between 2-5 LPA. Some companies offered a salary package of 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Infosys, UST Global, InApp and TCS visit our college for placements. About 10% of the students with good coding skilled students got an internship in TCS. Top roles like app developer and web app developer are offered to the students.

Review of Government Engineering College, Barton Hill.

Placements: Though most of the students from our batch got placed, none of them got a salary package above the lowest salary package of 3 LPA to 3.6 LPA. Companies which visited here were all software firms, and mechanical and electrical companies didn't visit. The worst thing is the placement cell justifies this by informing that certain software firms deal with IoT and hence can be considered as core electronics placements. But as an EEE student, none of the core firms visited for placements. Our college ...

One of the best colleges for taking up Mechanical Engineering.

Placements: The placement opportunities by the CGPU in the campus is good but not excellent. There are a few companies which were non IT but majority was IT. It's normal given the demand, but we expect more guidance as far as placements are concerned. The avg salary package was about 4 LPA. There hasn't been a Mechanical core company yet and is neither expected.

The college with less space, so built vertically.

Placements: About 40 per cent were placed from the course. The highest offer was 5 LPA and the lowest was 3.5 LPA. TCS, INFOSYS, MITSOGO, were the top recruiters. Since the university complies us to get internships compulsory to complete the courses, it is done by every student. Most people get an internship at the southern railway.

Absolutely satisfied with the academics and other facilities.

Placements: We have a placement cell in our college. They bring mostly IT companies and they also help us prepare for the aptitude test and personal interviews. I got placed in TCS (one of the major recruiter). Other companies like Envestnet, Capgemini, Tata Elxsi, etc., also came for the recruitment process.

I liked the college. It is near the city with good faculty, but poor infrastructure.

Placements: Since it is recession time, the placements are a bit dull (dull in the sense, these are affected the same way as in other colleges in Trivandrum). 50% of the students got placed. The highest salary offered was 5 LPA and the lowest was 3.2 LPA. The average is around 3.4 LPA. Envestnet, TCS, Mercedes Benz, Wipro, Quest, IBS, Mu Sigma, Capgemini and Zia Semiconductors are the few companies which have visited the campus.
