GEC, Bilaspur, sweet memories at low fees.

Placements: There is a healthy environment for placement drives here, thanks to the alumni of our college who always bring many opportunities to the students here. Besides this, being a government college, it is connected to many government and private institutes like CRISP, Bhopal and many others. So, when it comes to major and minor training, students get a lot of options to choose from. Moreover, the college organises different career guidance seminars for the students, which is headed by the alumni of t...

My college and the administration.

Placements: This is a government college. Obviously, there is much probability for us, but no one working in the placement sector. Our college administration as well our government, neither works in this field. My seniors and all juniors just preparing for GATE because placement sector is not available.

Best to get recognition, average for knowledge and worst for placements.

Placements: There are no placements at all. No companies visited the college campus. All you have to do is to appear in open campus in private colleges nearby and face partiality. The employee working in placement cell was himself a contract based employee and gave the least importance in placements and inviting companies. I'm not clear about current scenario but since it is a government college things won't change easily.

Average in all three points.

Placements: It is not very good since it is a government college. The placement is not good here. Companies don't take much interest here and students have to go for PG courses for getting jobs.

Good faculty and a great institute from knowledge point of view.

Placements: For our senior batch, placement was great and it was well justified. Pay scale offered by the company which came for campus selection was also quite satisfactory. A government institute with so less course fees. Varieties of scholarships are also being offered.

It is absolutely good, fantastic, good placement, and really good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: My college is the number one college. All branches placed on the campus were 100%. Campus selection was the highest annual income of INR 2 Lacs, which is the average package offered in the course. Mainly in mining engineering. 70% of students got internships from my course.

It is an average college, but if you have an option, then go for any other college.

Placements: The placements are good and could be better. Only the average companies are interested in offering campus placements. Companies like HP, Amazon, Flipkart, Ajio, etc., won't even show their presence in campus selection. A lot of talented students face seamless failure in campus selection, and the government should do something about this.

Government Engineering College, Bilaspur affiliated to CSVTU.

Placements: Being a government Engineering college the companies coming for placement are generally seeking talented people who are certified for various projects instead of simply taking people as mass recruiters, resulting to which the number of placement compared to private counterparts is quite less. But quality prevails over quantity resulting to which the person who are selected to good post like software engineers, data analysts etc. Due to constant efforts by the college many startups are also appro...

It is the best engineering college in Chhattisgarh with good facilities.

Placements: A very few students got placed from our batch. I think none of the companies have visited our college up to now, but later our college has been making efforts to invite companies for placements. There is a placement cell in our college. Companies which visited here for batch 2018 were HCL Technologies, Samanta Pvt Ltd, Just Dial, etc. The highest salary package offered was around 3.5 LPA-4 LPA.

This government college is not good of all time.

Placements: In this college, only one company visits for campus selection. Most of our seniors prefer other college campuses. The college faculty members ask the students to make projects on non-important topics which the company interviewers take as unnecessary. The placements were not good in this college.

I am satisfied with this college but not with labs and canteen.

Placements: Placements are quite good for branches like mining and mechanical. It provides the least placements for branches like IT, etc. We need to work hard on our own to get placements. Placement cell is available, and they have been working for the past couple of years. It provided good placement in 2017. I hope there will be more placements in the upcoming year.

I am not really satisfied with our college as there are no placements.

Placements: Placements are not offered by our college. None of the companies visits our college. We have to opt for open placements. I think only about 2%-4% of students got placed, and that rate is negligible. I don't know about the salaries offered as I hardly know any student who got placed. There is a placement cell, but it is not useful.

It is an average college, but infrastructure and management are not good, but teachers are good.

Placements: In this college, very few students were placed. There were no placements cells in this college. Though a top had been appointed still it needs a lot of improvement. Maximum students were placed due to the campus pool conducted in other colleges, because of their talent. This college had a little role to play.
