I am satisfied regarding faculty but dissatisfied with facilities and placements.

Placements: There are less placements in mechanical and civil but high in CS and IT. For 2 years, companies have started recruiting students from our college. From the last 50 years, there have been no placements at all. CS branch students have got 2 to 3 placements, and even they got them with low salary packages.

I am satisfied with this college but need more placements.

Placements: Placements at our college were not very good. Only some companies visit our college which was not well established. The companies that were recently opened or the companies that were not well-known visit to hire students.

The management works for making money and not for students or their future.

Placements: The campus placements are very poor. Our senior batch enjoyed the placement facilities but with very low packages. Students hardly get a package of 1-2 LPA. Students are not given active roles that would help them in placements.

It does not provide placements and the infrastructure is not good.

Placements: Around 1-2% of students were selected in campus selection. Only 2-3 companies visit for campus placements. Placements head doesn't invite more companies for campus placements. Students go to other colleges for open campus placements. Overall there were no placements.

Engineers are always up to date here.

Placements: Companies like HCL, Capgemini, Kaivaly Technology, Insight and Prism visit our college. In GEC Bilaspur, specifically in the 3rd year, employability skills classes are conducted. About 20% of students were placed from here. About 20% of students got internships from our college.

I am dissatisfied because of some facilities and lack of campus placements.

Placements: Only a few companies visit the campus every year for campus selection, and only a few students got selected in that companies. The lowest salary is offered to students who got selected in that company, and there is no internship available in our college. There is no placement cell available.

There are no placements in our college, so it is a drawback for students.

Placements: There are not any placements in our batch and our senior batch. None of the students were placed, and none of the companies visits our college. None of the students got internships from our college. It is not efficient and useful for us. There is no placement cell.

This college quality is average but its working upon the improvement.

Placements: Placements in our college were very less. Companies hardly visit our college for campus selection. Students move out to find a job. College hardly invites companies for placements.

Satisfied with the college.

Placements: We don't have placements. No companies come here. We try for open placements in other colleges. The college being a government one, there is no scope for placements. The situation is the same for the other government colleges in Chhattisgarh. Students of private colleges get placed every year.

Review of Government Engineering College, Bilaspur.

Placements: Placements opportunities provided by the college are very rare. If you are capable, then you can get placement. The process has started in the past 3-4 years. We get a fair number of placements with the highest salary package of 3.8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Roles offered were generally of IT profiles.

The college provides students with knowledge.

Placements: There were no placements at that time. In some years, companies visited and offered placements to the students so that they achieve their goals and perform well in their specialisation to give maximum benefits to the company and to our country so that we grow on the employment rate.

It's a pretty decent college if you are broke with money and only have to get a degree.

Placements: There are rare cases of placements direct from our colleges. It has been a big issue for a long time. The state government colleges do lack campus selection. Graduating from a state government college is an option only for those who can find a job on their own and the one who has real talent and consistency in their work.
