Decent infrastructure, supportive faculty, and moderate placements.
Placements: Around 60-70% of students get placed with a salary package of 2 LPA - 10 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 4 LPA - 5 LPA. Top recruiters include L&T, Tata Motors, and Bosch. About 30-40% of students secure internships in companies like L&T and Tata Steel. Key roles offered are design engineer, production engineer, and quality analyst.
Infrastructure: Our department has well-equipped labs, spacious classrooms, Wi-Fi, and access to a central library with ample resources. The hostel offers basic facilities, clean rooms, and decent food in the mess and canteen. Medical facilities are available. Sports infrastructure includes a ground for outdoor games and an indoor sports area.
Faculty: The faculty is qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive. They guide students in academics, projects, and career growth. While most are experienced and approachable, some could improve teaching methods. Overall, they ensure a productive and helpful learning environment.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in mechanics and its vast career opportunities. The best aspects are the practical learning and industry relevance. Improvements could include better lab equipment and more placement opportunities. The campus hosts technical and cultural fests. It has an active crowd and decent connectivity. Surroundings are peaceful with some scholarships and extracurricular activities.

The infrastructure and the faculty are good.
Placements: The placement is average; here, almost all the students who passed this year are placed. The highest package is about 3.6 lacs, and the average package is 1.8 lacs per year. The companies from Dadra Nagar Haveli and Diu are recruiting more students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is awesome. The environment is so adorable; almost eco-friendly and fully green nature is here. The hostel is also on the campus, almost 200 meters from the college. The facilities that are provided in the hostel are also moderate enough to survive the engineering life.
Faculty: The faculty is so good and polite. They are ready to help at every moment. The teaching staff is well-qualified and knowledgeable. The semester is taken by Gujarat Technological University. The supervision is very tough and the exam is taken during PE time.
Other: The campus is good and the Polytechnic course is also on the same campus. The crowd is good.

    Good experience at GEC, Daman.
Placements: Our college is new and still under development, so placements are not that great. However, some smaller companies do visit campus to recruit computer science students, and some students have received good placement offers. On the other hand, placements for mechanical and civil engineering students are quite good.
Infrastructure: The college has three computer labs with air conditioning and good internet connectivity. The library has good seating arrangements, laptops available for use, and is well-stocked with books and magazines. The hostel is just okay.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and supportive to the students, and the college is affiliated with GTU, so it follows that curriculum, and the college also provides industrial exposure to the students. The semester exams are hard; one has to prepare well if he wants to clear the exams.
Other: I was in the computer engineering course at this college, and we were the first computer batch. We didn't have any seniors to guide us, so we had some difficulty at first. However, things are better now, and the overall course is good.

It is a good college with great infrastructure. I would suggest you join here.
Placements: There are a few placements. They are trying to bring in more companies for placements. Not all students will be placed, but many who excel in their studies will. There are many companies nearby where you can try internships or part-time jobs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are great. There are huge labs, but there are fewer instruments currently. They are arranging the instruments. Sports facilities are also available.
Faculty: Teachers are good. They cover almost all the syllabus and help students get good grades. Semester exams are not that hard. If you study, you can easily crack the exams on the basis of learning repeated questions. You can also complain if you are unsatisfied with your teachers.
Other: Cultural festivals and all other festivals are celebrated with enthusiasm. Many sports events are held, which are very enjoyable and relaxing.

Photos of the college are uploaded on the website of Government Engineering College Daman.
Placements: The college started in 2018 and in 2022, first placement is done. The highest package is 3-4 LPA. Computer department is started in 2020 so no student is in final year yet. I don't know about the placements. We hope the college gives us a great placements because of our supportive principal.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi in the hostel and labs. A big central library is there with many books. Hostel is simple and good. We do a sports week in which different types of sports are played by students like football, cricket, kabaddi, kho-kho, etc. Many indoor games are available like table tennis, chess and carom.
Faculty: Teachers are very good and we also have a supportive principal. Semester exams are conducted by our university, i.e. Gujarat Technological University. There is only one exam, that is mid¬-term and then semester exams by the University. A total of 2 exams in one semester.
Other: In Gujarat, CSE course is provided by a less number of colleges and GEC Daman is one of them. Many events are held in our college. Scholarships are provided to girls and sports is there for every student.

The college is not good for education and placements.
Placements: Only 1 or 2 companies visit the college for on-campus placements, and only 2 or 3 students get placed. Only entry-level jobs are offered to the placed students. The average package offered is 3 LPA. No companies visit here for internships. Very few students got internships off-campus.
Infrastructure: The campus is not huge. There is no Wi-Fi facility. The college Ethernet internet speed is too low. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is average. The hostel is good. Classrooms are good with new benches. The library is very small with only a few books. The playground is very small, and we have to play indoor games.
Faculty: The teachers are good. GTU syllabus is very good, but the problem is the lack of infrastructure. There are no proper tools available for students to gain practical knowledge. It does not make students industry-ready. Semester exams are hard, and we have to study hard to clear the exams.
