Q:   What is the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.E. / B.Tech programs at GNIT IPU?

A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.E./B.Tech Programs at GNIT IPU

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here's what we've gathered about the placement cell:

* Placement Cell: College provides average placements, and it's hard to get internships. Top recruiting companies are TCS and Wipro.
* Limited Support: College is of no help for placements. Students have to try very hard to get placed when the times get tough.
* No Proper Assistance: The placement cell is of no use. Everyone has to try off-campus to get a job.
* Few Job Opportunities: Not all but a few of the facilities in my prospective location are good. Placements are really poor.

It appears that the placement cell could improve in terms of supporting students' career aspirations and securing job opportunities. While there are a few positive mentions, the majority of feedback suggests that students need to rely heavily on their own efforts to secure employment.

The infrastructure is good, other facilities are improving, and the quality of education is good.
Placements: The placement cell is working according to great accord; recently, we have been placed at the highest package of 27 LPA and at the lowest package of 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies of this year are Accenture, KPMG, Microsoft, 4 Ways, etc. There are various companies in which students are doing their internships, like Infosys, TCS, etc. The top roles offered in our course are SDE, backend development, data analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Various systems do not work properly. The infrastructure of the labs, classrooms, and library is improving with time. The food is average; the medical facilities and sports and games facilities are satisfactory. The hostel infrastructure is satisfactory. The mess and canteen facilities are good; they provide good and healthy food in good quantity.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, well qualified, and very knowledgeable. The teacher quality is excellent. The course curriculum is quite relevant, but according to my point of view, it still does not make the students industry-ready. The semester exams are between moderate and difficult, with some easy courses as well. The pass percentage of the semester exam is 97.
Other: The lab facilities can be better. The technical education facilities can be improved. More frequent tech fests, events can be organized, and various extracurricular activities can be conducted more frequently. One casual day should be provided to the students.

This is regarding college placement infrastructure and development of student.

Infrastructure: The feel and infrastructure of the college are above average, and it provides easy admission to the students who are average and have the skills. Fee structures are affordable, so it's easy to take admission.
Faculty: Faculty and the staff of the college are highly experienced, and they have knowledge in their selected areas and departments. Curriculum activities and exams are always on time, and it helps in developing students. Faculty provide all the basic knowledge.

Satisfied by the lenient attendance system; infrastructure is average, not many events are held.
Placements: Placement drives are currently going on; few students have been selected for internship and job interviews, but we were not provided any opportunities for internship in our third year. Top recruiting companies are Quess, TPM, Grapecity. Developed roles are offered for now.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average; no fancy halls or classrooms. The library is still okay. Wi-Fi is obviously not available for everyone; computers are connected with an Ethernet cable, not all. Hostels are average, not much strict. No canteen available or it's shut down for now. Not much for sports, only a small ground is available.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, but self-study is the way, just like in most colleges. You can't rely on teachers to understand concepts. The course is provided by IPU, and they changed the course recently, but the curriculum at my time was irrelevant and utterly useless for a job. You will not acquire the skills required for a job through college. Passing marks are 40/100, including practical and theory marks, and IPU provides grace marks for a maximum of two subjects. Passing the semester exams is not that difficult.
Other: CSE is the most popular course; that's why I took it. The college does organize freshers, but that's pretty much it.

GNIOT helps students to gain industry level skills to jumpstart their career.
Placements: Students are placed in many companies, like Microsoft and TCS. A student secured a 20 LPA package at Microsoft. Our college has a 100 percent placement record and many of our alumni are working for big MNCs like Amazon, Google, and Microsoft with hard work and being consistent throughout the course.
Infrastructure: GNIOT has good infrastructure, which leads to quality education. It provides many opportunities for internships and encourages us to sharpen our skills as well. Many aptitude drives are also conducted to level up the aptitude skills of the students. With the operation of teachers, it becomes way easier to crack on campus as well as off-campus placement drives.
Faculty: Teachers are cooperative and hard-working. Teaching quality is good too. This course covers all the basics that are required to form a foundation for working in the industry. Teachers are really good, as they prepare us well for upcoming AKTU exams by making us solve previous year's question papers and notes given in the class.
Other: I chose B.Tech. because of my interest in the mechanisms of software and its development. In today's times, it is important to have theoretical knowledge as well as industry-level skills, and GNIOT gives us the platform to prepare ourselves for that.

Engaging journey at GNIT IPU, Greater Noida.
Placements: At GNIT my journey has been more then just lectures and assignments. It's about regular coding sessions with friends and faculty members and learning so many things from each other. Placement: approximately. 80% students placed you small and big companies and some of the students got placed in big companies like HCL, Wipro, etc. And most of the students placed in the software development profile had an average package of 4 LPA and the highest package was 8 LPA.
Infrastructure: In this college, the B.Tech. CSE department has good computer labs and software for practicing different programming languages. Apart from this, they have all the required facilities like Wi-Fi, smart class, library, an auditorium, a playground, etc. They also have a hostel on campus, which is also very decent and has good food so there will be no problem with that either.
Faculty: Faculty members in this college are qualified, knowledgeable and supportive, and they always help students whenever required. If I talk about the course curriculum, that is also good because the college is affiliated with GGSIPU, and GGSIPU is known for its engineering curriculum. We have regular tests in classes and semester-based exams in college and they design question papers based on the upcoming exam, so you have to study hard to score.
Other: I have chosen B.Tech. CSE because I have a keen interest in coding and this course has all the required things to develop good software. If I talk about the improvement, then I would say that they can increase more industry-oriented practical sessions and can also increase the support and research part as well. At GNIT, they celebrate all the fests and organize freshers and farewell parties so that is fine. As they have feasible means, they offer very few scholarships to students.

This can be really good infrastructure and facilities in this college.
Placements: The college witnessed a staggering 90% placement rate, with salary packages ranging from 5 LPA to 12 LPA. Notably, esteemed companies such as HCL and TCS were among the recruiters. This presents a promising opportunity for students pursuing this course. Considering its average standing, this college proves to be a viable option for participation.
Infrastructure: The hostel building appears aged and dilapidated. The architectural design of the building is antiquated. The curriculum is beneficial for learning. The duration of the classes is lengthy and does not allow for interactive sessions. The air conditioning units in the classrooms are not operating efficiently. This could pose a problem during the summer months when the building may become stuffy.
Faculty: The college boasts a commendable faculty and examination system. The well-educated teachers are adept at clarifying doubts and providing an exceptional educational experience to students. However, it is important to note that the responsibility of making the most of the knowledge imparted by the teachers lies with the students themselves. The teachers will offer guidance, but it is up to the students to overcome any challenges they may face.
Other: This campus attracts a respectable number of students, and it offers excellent connectivity. Moreover, the college premises are spacious enough to accommodate a large student population.

GNIT IPU Campus offers a relatively hectic academic schedule with over 15 lectures per week, and students have access to well-stocked libraries and teaching faculty who provide resources for research and reading. The campus has guards and CCTV cameras installed everywhere, ensuring a secure environment for students. Sports facilities are limited but manageable, and there are designated student representatives available for support. While attendance policies are strict, students report no instances of discrimination and find the college culture friendly and inclusive.

Based on the reviews provided, here's a summary of the overall infrastructure of the college:

The college has a spacious infrastructure with well-equipped classrooms, laboratories and a library. The classrooms are air-conditioned and have smart classes, providing a comfortable learning environment. The laboratories are fully equipped with modern equipment, enabling students to gain hands-on experience. The college also has a library with a vast collection of books and journals.

GNIT IPU FAQs

Q:   What are the cutoff marks required for B.Tech at Anant National University (AnantU)?

A:

Unfortunately, there is no published "cutoff" score for B.Tech admissions at Anant National University (AnantU) for the upcoming academic year (2024-25). This is because AnantU uses a holistic selection process that considers various factors beyond just entrance exam scores or Class 12th marks. Here's what you need to know:

Minimum Eligibility:

  • You must have at least 70% marks in the best of four subjects in Class 12th (40% for reserved categories) if you applied through Indian boards (CBSE, ISC, State boards). This is just the minimum requirement to even be considered for admission.

Holistic Selection Process:

AnantU considers the following factors when selecting candidates:

  • Entrance Exam Scores: Depending on the programme you choose, you may need to take and score well in entrance exams like JEE Main or SAT. Check the specific programme requirements on the university website.
  • Class 12th Marks: While 70% is the minimum, higher marks can strengthen your application.
  • Application Essay and Statement of Purpose: This is your chance to showcase your passion for the program, your academic strengths, and future goals. Make sure these are well-written and highlight your unique qualities.
  • Interview Performance: This is an opportunity to impress the selection committee with your communication skills, enthusiasm, and understanding of the program.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Demonstrating leadership, creativity, and involvement in activities beyond academics can enhance your application.
