Q:   Is After 10th Diploma at Guru Brahmanand Ji Government Polytechnic College worth the investment?

A:
{Source: After 10th Diploma students & alumni}

Here's a summary of the key points:

Pros:

* Decent placement record, especially for Computer Engineering students (around 70% placement rate)
* Good faculty, with some teachers being very helpful and knowledgeable
* Library with a wide range of books, and a free book scheme for financially weaker students
* Hostel facilities are available, although only for the first year for boys and three years for girls
* Campus has a park, and there is no restriction on staying back late for studies

Cons:

* Infrastructure is average, with outdated buildings and limited Wi-Fi connectivity
* Limited internship opportunities, with only 60-70% of students securing internships
* Salary packages are relatively lower, ranging from INR1.5 LPA to INR4 LPA
* Not ideal for students seeking a vibrant campus life, as the area is crowded and lacks recreational facilities

In conclusion:
While Guru Brahmanand Ji Government Polytechnic College may not offer the most modern infrastructure, it does have a decent reputation for placements and faculty. However, students should weigh these pros against the cons before making a decision. College placements are good for mechanical students.
Placements: Placements for computer students are not good enough but for mechanical students, placements are good. Various companies visit here for placements in the mechanical department like Maruti and Jindal. Maruti gives a very good package to students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for computer students is good. It has enough resources, but some personal complies are old-fashioned. Enough computers are present in computer labs. There is a lack of student interest. The hostel provides various playing activities. The mess food is below average. The hostel is only available for first-year students.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They behave very politely with students. Semester exams are not very tough. Exams are like just average. An average student can pass exams very easily. Almost 80% of students pass semester exams easily without any reappearing.

It is a nice and decent college.
Placements: The college is medium, not too good or too bad. I mean, decent or low-tier companies approach this college if you are from computer engineering, but if you are from another branch like electronics or electrical, then your chances of placement are greater.
Infrastructure: I am a local student, so I was not in the campus hostel, but my friends were there, so they told me a decent review of the college hostel. It's good, but you can only stay there for the first year, and after the first year, you have to search for a room or home.
Faculty: The faculty of a college is also not too good or too bad; some teachers are good and skilled in their subjects, and some teachers are not that good in their subjects or teaching, and if you want practical knowledge, it totally depends on you, so be careful.

Decent placements, good infrastructure, and supportive facilities, but room for improvement.
Placements: Placement percentage: 70-80%. The highest package: 4.5-6 Lacs per annum. The lowest package: 2.5-3 Lacs per annum. Average package: 2 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies: IT and software companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HCL; Consulting companies like BCG, Brain & Company.
Infrastructure: Rooms: Shared and single rooms, with basic amenities like beds, mattresses, study tables, and chairs. Sports: Facilities for indoor and outdoor games like football, table tennis, badminton, cricket, volleyball, and chess, as well as exercise instruments and other games.
Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable in their respective fields. Most faculty members have industry experience and try to relate theoretical concepts to real-world applications. Teaching methods include lectures, practicals, and projects.
Other: I chose Instrumentation and Control Engineering because I was fascinated by the way instruments and control systems work together to automate processes. I also wanted a course that combined electrical, mechanical, and software engineering.

It is the best college for engineering.
Placements: More than 70% of students are placed from our college. The minimum salary package offered is 1.5 LPA, and the highest is 4 LPA in mechanical engineering. Maruti Suzuki, Godrej & Boyce Mfg Co. Ltd., Escort, Tata, Honda Motors, Hitachi, and Bajaj are the most common companies that come to our college. Machine worker and line in-charge are common roles in our course.
Infrastructure: All the accessories are mostly available in labs and classrooms. There is a library where financially weak students can buy books for free. The quality of hostel food is good. There is a park where we play on Sundays. The mess is also neat and clean.
Faculty: Teachers are good and helpful. They have a huge amount of knowledge about teaching. Semester exams are neither easy nor hard. If students prepare honestly, they can pass easily. We need to score 33 out of 80 to pass the exams.
Other: I chose this course because this is the best and shortest way to stand alone in any job, and I succeeded in this. I got placed at Godrej Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd. There is a scholarship branch where we can submit our documents for scholarships.

I am dissatisfied with the infrastructure and sports facilities, but the faculty members are good.
Placements: The placement record for this college is not good if you consider all the branches. It is good if you are looking for Mechanical Engineering in this college. There are a lot of companies coming and they give placements mostly to mechanical students. The average salary offered in this college was Rs. 2–40,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not so good in this college. The buildings of this college and hostel are too old. Therefore, they are leaking here and there. There is no Wi-Fi facility available either in the college nor in the hostel. You get a hostel for only 1 year for boys and 3 years for girls.
Faculty: The faculty is very good here. They are supportive of students. If you seek any help, then they are available at any time. The quantity of facilities is very small in civil department. The faculty in every branch is enough. They conduct exams in a professional manner under proper CCTV surveillance.
Other: The place where college is located is Nilokheri, Karnal (Haryana) and this place is too crowded. If you are coming here to enjoy college life, then you are wrong place because the campus is very short and there is no college playground available and there are no sports available.

Our college has good infrastructure and staff but the placements are dissatisfied.
Placements: During our session, only 2-3 companies arrived for placements. Out of 140 students, almost 10-15 students got jobs in companies like Shree Cement, L&T Construction, etc. The placement service of the college is not good enough.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is excellent as it is a government college. The labs are equipped with lots of equipment. Classrooms have upstairs seats so students sitting on the last bench are also able to see the board easily. There is no Wi-Fi available on the campus but the network of mobiles is good. The library has a lot of facilities for students and they give free books. There is a huge park on campus to have lunch. But there are no proper arrangements for sports.
Faculty: Teachers here are highly qualified. The only problem is for some subjects there are guest teachers and are not teaching well as they have to. Teachers for fresher are great but in the final year, teachers are not focusing as they have to. The syllabus is relevant but it needs more changes to be get understood by the students. Semester exams are not be taken seriously each month only a waste of time they were. Because at finals, marks were given according to teachers and not according to semester performance.
