Faculty, teachers, and infrastructure are very good; also, placements are above average!
Placements: So right now I am studying in the 2nd sem. This year, from the seniors, I have heard that a good number of companies like Wipro, TCS, etc., visited the campus and recruited a lot of students. This was a good year for placements for those who sat for them! About 75% got jobs, and the highest package I've heard is 10.5 LPA from the CSE branch. Also, some seniors got internships in Google, etc.
Infrastructure: The sports quota of our college is good; many students play sports, and events happen like crazy. Many events take place, so I don't know about that, but the library is very good. Every kind of book for studying or formal reading is available. The classrooms are very clean and spacious, and the labs are very good. The mechanical, physics, chemistry, and basic electrical labs have every equipment, and the computer lab is also good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful; they help with every problem anyone faces. The teachers are fairly qualified for what they teach and are pretty knowledgeable too. The curriculum is like every other college in WB; some are relevant, but some are not, in my opinion. However, they make the students industry-ready. Exams are kind of hard, but teachers teach everything they set in the exam, and marks are also easily obtainable if anyone writes the correct answers.
Other: So I chose this course because, from my childhood, I was fond of computers and their behind-the-scenes working, so I chose this course because it was of my liking. The fests are huge. The cultural fest, i.e., Zyzzva, and the tech fest are crazy good. Many celebrities come during events, and also time-to-time events happen, like sports events and small events, etc. Our campus is very beautiful and full of greenery. The grounds are very big and good. Scholarship systems are there too, and many opportunities for extracurricular activities are organized.

Good college no doubt but the worst faculty members of the Information Technology department.
Placements: Less than 20% of students got placed, and mostly the placement cell was unable to coordinate. Even the training given by the placement cell was not even up to the mark. The coding grounds were of toughness level 8 and the training we got was about the basics which were of toughness level 3-4.
Infrastructure: The course was pretty affordable back then but now the fee structure has been changed, the environment was pretty good. Events and fests were organized by the college every year, many famous celebrities used to perform. Overall, the course fees paid were legitimate.
Faculty: The worst, uncooperative, rude, faculty members don’t know how to behave with students, don’t have any manners, always used to treat students like beggars begging for marks, they used to blackmail us not to give marks. Always took away the credit of the works of the students on their names.
Other: Already mentioned above .

Review of Guru Nanak Institute of Technology.
Placements: On average, 20% of students are placed here every year but the college authority says that in our college, they give 90% placement for advertisements, but this is not fully true. The highest package on campus is 6.5 LPA. The lowest package is 2.5 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. In the past few years, there have been no company visits to our college for my courses. Students get internships on campus in software service and product-based companies but not in a core company. Network developer is the top role offered.
Infrastructure: Faculty members are helpful and friendly with most of the students mostly departmental faculty but beside this, there are a few more faculty who cannot help the students and they are doing very unfair to the students. In the hostel, food quality is average but the campus of this college is one of the finest.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are helpful; they are highly educated and their teaching quality is below average. The semester exam at this college is quite easy and the pass percentage is 90%. Few teachers are sweet. This course curriculum is not bad .
Other: The department and faculty members are good. In terms of culture and sports, our college is the best.

GNIT is the best college.
Placements: After higher secondary examination, around 75% of science background students are eligible for the B.Tech engineering food technology course. The highest salary package offered in the course is 4.5 LPA. Top-branded recruiting companies are Britannia, Bengal Becarage, Pepsico, Nestled, and Ganesh
Infrastructure: There are many facilities like a lab, a library, Wi-Fi, and meals throughout the day. A girls' hostel is on campus. There is a warden and a canteen. All time meal is provided. There are facilities for medical purposes. In between the campus, there is a playground.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They are always helpful towards our education. There are no semester exams in this college. We only have yearly exams, and they are quite difficult for us. The pass percentage of exams is 50%.
Other: Food technology graduates have career options in diverse fields like restaurants, hospitals, food processing corporations, beverage manufacturing enterprises, food factories, catering, package food enterprises, and food research laboratories. Fields of study and research in food technology include analytical chemistry. Food technology is a branch of food science that addresses the production, preservation, quality control, and research and development of food products. It may also be understood as the Science of ensuring that a society is food secure and has access to safe food that meets quality standards.

My dream college-Gurunanak Institute of Technology.
Placements: If anyone wants to join this course in this college one will need 60% marks in maths, physics, and biology subject. In this course college salary package offered was 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for this course Amazon, Tata Motors, etc. Maximum students were offered internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities of this college were really good. Labs, library, and Classrooms all were clean. College provides different sports. The quality of food available was mostly good in the mess and canteen.
Faculty: All teachers were very helpful, and knowledgeable. They helped us very much. Semester exams were quite easy. Teachers also give us suggestions. Pass percentage of students was 98%. Course curriculum was relevant and it made students industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course because this course includes all courses like computer-based, software-based, and also electronics. Events, Fest, and Scholarship all were good in this college.

Honest opinion about GNIT : why you should not choose it.
Placements: Only a few students get placed with a very minimal salary package of 3 LPA. In most cases, students get placed at a local company named Keventer. The salary offered ranges from Rs. 15,000-20,000 per month. Almost 80% of our seniors got placed. If students want to choose food technology at this college, I would recommend opting for M.Tech from JU or other top colleges. The most common companies like TCS, Capgemini, and Cognizant provide IT jobs every year during campus placements.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi connection is very poor. Students can never get a good network speed from free Wi-Fi. Labs are decent. Not all classrooms, but, a few numbers of smart rooms are there that have projectors, audio systems, etc. The library does not have much collection of books and most of them have outdated syllabus. The only thing is you get help from the previous year's question papers. Hostel infrastructure is not well maintained. Especially the food available there is not of good quality.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated. Most of them pursued their master's and PhD from JU and some from IITs. The course curriculum is not relevant and will not help students in interviews or get any practical knowledge. It also does not provide students with any industry skills they can apply at their work. Exams are conducted very often. But exams are not difficult at all. Rather, if we study before for 3 to 4 days, we can still score well.
Other: Events are organised very often. An annual fest Euphynous named Zyzzva is organised. Every department has its own technical fests like Techverse, Electrophoria, Food Envision, etc. The campus is quite big. Students run different societies and clubs like eco club, music club, and other sports clubs too.
