The college has a good placement in 2015 with good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: The placement was good enough for the students. Several companies like the TCS, Ericsson, Hexaware, Amdocs, Tech-Mahindra, etc., have visited our campus. The highest salary offered was about Rs. 3.0 LPA and the lowest was about Rs. 2.7 LPA. Most of the candidates were offered the jobs with the designation of an assistant software engineer.

GNIT is a good college for discipline.

Placements: As compared to the previous years, placement is not satisfactory this year. This college comes under JIS group and companies visit to recruit students from all the colleges of JIS group. Till date, major companies that visited are Tech Mahindra, ITC Infotech, Capgemini,HP India(Under the payroll of Netconnect Pvt. Ltd.), Amazon, Wipro and some more small companies. Tech Mahindra, ITC Infotech, and Capgemini offered associate software developer post but Wipro offered BPS while Amazon offered TRMS...

Our college is good in terms of infrastructure and faculty members but lacks in placements.

Placements: Placements are not good here. I am in electrical engineering and in this college, almost 30% students got internships from the college and the average salary offered is almost rupees 10 to 15 thousand. In other fields like mechanical engineering and chemical engineering, placements are very bad as compared to electrical engineering. Only 5 to 10 students got internships from the college. Some companies visited to our college like Tata Power and HCL.

Absolutely dissatisfied due to placements, but good faculty and infrastructure

Placements: Last time I heard that GNIT offered a good placement was way back in 2008, and this motivated me to get admission into the college in 2009. For my batch, only 35-40 (among 400-420) students were placed into MNCs, rest all were either left with low salary clerical jobs or worse without any jobs. The highest package offered was around 3.5-4 LPA, where the lowest was as low as INR 5000 per month (which is unexpected from an engineering college). The big companies like TCS, ITC Infotech, L&T, Data 6...

Placements: GNI is a hub for placements. More than 250 companies visits GNI every year and recruit more than 100 students. Some of the top leading companies which visit GNI for recruiting are Microsoft, TCS, Google, Tech Mahindra, Dell, Infotech, Oracle, Wipro, IBM, etc.

It is one of the most reputed colleges of all JIS. The faculty members of our college are not up to the mark but they help us in need. From the past 1 year in the field of placement, the various honorable companies are coming in search of students. The infrastructure of our college is good as it has a big playground for the students. In case of cultural activities, our college gives Fresher’s party for the newcomers and also the Grand Fest among all the JIS colleges. The fest continues for 2 day...

Awesome campus with lots of facilities and a vast infrastructure. The other thing about the college is that it has an inbuilt hostel for both boys and girls. Even there's a big canteen which provides lots of stuff for your hungriness. Rest about the playground, the grounds are very big with lots of sports equipment installed. There's a big gym for both boys and girls in the hostel premises which has good quality machines giving you bugs of energy.

Pros: A very good environment for the engineers. Good facilities. Travelling is easy as it is located in the place where buses are very frequent. Cons: Maintenance of labs was not quite good. Lack of cultural fests. Overall it’s an above average college for engineering.

It offers graduation and post-graduation in various streams. Faculty is very much active and dedicated towards their profession. Teacher’s way of teaching and making them better in innovative technologies is their main motive. The Dean of our college has some external urge to put the college at the topmost and always puts efforts towards the same.

Located on the outskirts of Kolkata, Guru Nanak Institute of technology is a renowned private engineering college under the famous JIS group. I did B.Tech in Computer Science in Engg. back in 2008-2012. Before the year 2010, the college was quite well known for its placement and level of quality education. Although in recent years, the quality of education followed the standard but the placement cell is losing its past glory. Although this year, they have come up with various kinds of interactiv...

Overall, I recommend you to choose our college if you want to engage yourself in engineering.

Placements: About 70% of students get placed every year in IT. Generally, the placement depends on the student himself. If the person has the proper skills and knowledge, he or she would be hired by a company. Top recruiters are Infosys, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, Airtel, Coca-Cola, Biskfarm, etc. Many technical and non-technical companies visit our campus and hire freshers.

Top recruiting companies are Nestle, ITC, Infotech, Keventer, Diamond Beverage, etc. About 89% of students got internships from our course for industrial training. Good college, great faculty, helps out students a lot.

Placements: Can't tell about placements, still in 2nd year. Still placements are good enough, so I have heard from seniors. The internship was taken from internshala by various students and was recruited. The students had the chance of taking internships as per their choice and hobbies.
