B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2016
Offered by Haryana College of Technology and Management (HCTM)
2.4

A college with declining placements and events.
Placements: The placement of the college was good till 2010, but after that, due to slum in engineering, the number of students went on decreasing, which also effects placements. For civil engineering, there is no placement in the college. A few companies visit and select the candidates but didn't call them later.
Infrastructure: The college is situated on Hisar- Chandigarh Highway. The campus is lush green and very good to look. It has a lush green garden for cricket. Different blocks are there for different branches with different classes. The campus is completely Wi-Fi enabled, and you don't face any problem with electricity in this college.
Faculty: In the initial times, when the college started in 1998, the faculty were really very good, but now, no experienced teacher is present in the campus. All the faculty members have very few years of experience. The number of students is very less, so the faculty are also decreasing. That means the quality security is not present in the college.
Other: I joined the college in the year 2012, and at that time, there was a fest organised. After that, a night is organised in the college. The fest was organised till 2016, and now, after I left the college, I still didn't hear about any of the event or fests in the college. As the number of students is very less, no such activities are performed in the college. Monthly events of different departments are held, that is a regular trend in the college.

Faculty were good in the civil department. Infrastructure is brilliant
Placements: The placement is not good for civil engineers and is also not good for rest of the branches. I am not happy with placements as only some companies came for placements and gave a salary of around 10,000 to 15,000 per month. You have to compromise with placements if you take admission here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is brilliant. There is a three-floor building. Labs are good medical facilities is good also they arrange a blood donation camp, etc. A lot of extracurricular activities are there in the college and a lot of games are also there with no issues at all in the infrastructure.
Faculty: I am talking about my department. Our faculty team is great, helps students at every step and supports students. Our teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The student to faculty ratio is good. You can choose civil engineering to get a chance to meet our great teachers.

Satisfied with the college.
Placements: Every year, lots of ISO companies visit my college and lots of student get placement.
When I was in college, Dell, as well as some other companies offered a high salary package. Last year, my friends got an offer by Dell. They got a high position and at the present time, they got a transfer to Dubai.
Infrastructure: The library facility is very good.
All kinds of books are available.
Medical as well as Wi-Fi facility is available.
Every year, a sports competition is organized in my college.
Moving further, the canteen facility is very good.
They provide good nutritious food.
The infrastructure is very good.
The college also provides bus facilities for those students who live in the village as well as city.
Faculty: There are professors who are experienced as well as have good teaching skills.
They provide good practical knowledge.
I am a civil engineering student. My college director organized a survey camp for civil as well as computer branch.
They invite the best computer companies to give exposure.
Other: The college is certified by NIIT Delhi as well as by Kurukshetra University.
The college area is built over 50 acres. There's a separate sports area for those learners who have an interest in sports.
There are lots of students in my college, so I face difficulty in submitting my fees.

Other: College faculty is not good you must go for other college in this price range not as good. As I expected as it was is you are willing to go to college for enjoyment purpose then you must go for it. But for studies it is not up to that mark for placement and knowledge.

Other: "HCTM-technical-campus" is the new name of this college. Infrastructure is very good. All the labs and equipment are up to date. Affiliated to Kurukshetra University and also accredited by NBA for some courses like B.tech in ECE. The campus is situated on NH-65 near Kaithal city. Teaching faculty is very good and all are well experienced. The placement cell is not that good but it is same as most of the colleges in the region, but if you want to study and have patience to find a job by yourself then this campus is good. This college has been awarded as no. 1 private college in Haryana.
