B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2015

It was the worst decision of my life.
Placements: Only 2% of students in our course got placed. The highest salary offered was Rs. 18,000 per month. IBM and some other companies visited the campus. Salary packages offered was not more than 2 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 1.5 LPA. The recruitment process was only for formality purpose. Students who joined the company for long were less than 1%.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility was not that good, and equipment in the lab were orthodox. Food quality was satisfactory in the canteen. The college does not provide educational tours, and the education system was orthodox. Extracurricular activities were negligible. Only one fest was organised. Infrastructure was good, though.
Faculty: Teaching quality was not satisfactory. Only a few teachers were experienced, and the course curriculum was of ancient times. It didn't make the students industry-ready. There was no sign of practical knowledge the only curriculum was taught, and many things that were taught were wrong.

Infrastructure and facilities were good in our college.
Placements: About 10% of the students got placed from our college. The highest salary package of 4 LPA and the average salary package of 2.3 LPA were offered. Honda, Infosys, Dell, Samsung, Maruti, Power Plants and various IT companies are the top recruiters of our college. Operation head is the top role offered. The average salary package offered was 5 LPA in our course. About 80% of the students got internships in companies like Honda and Magneti Marelli.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of our college were huge, and the library is equipped with full of books.
Faculty: Teachers were nice, helpful and well educated. They were knowledgeable. The course curriculum was related to the industry, and it was very helpful for me to study. Today I am working and using that experience which I gained through this course in my job area. Overall, the experience in this college was very good and worth.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in cars, and the best thing about this course is we get more exposure to corporate. Every extracurricular activity conducted here was fun, ethical and motivational.

Review of Haryana College of Technology and Management (HCTM).
Placements: Placements are the highest for my senior batch, but it is average for my batch. It is approximate 47%, and students with above 75% marks were selected. The roles are offered to the students according to their course. Many companies visited the campus for placements, and they offered the package of about 1 LPA to the selected candidates, but that was average.
Infrastructure: The campus environment is very good for students. For a peaceful study, there is a library on the campus. The Wi-Fi facility is available for students to study. The staff are good. Classrooms are well-equipped. There is also a canteen on the campus, and it is quite a good place that provides food. Overall, it is the best.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are the best. They are good and friendly with students. Teachers and students have a good relationship. They have good knowledge not only of the subjects but also other things. Their communication with students is very good.
Other: Many events and fests were conducted during my tenure. Once during the fest, a Punjabi celebrity was invited to the campus, and he entertained all of us. An annual fest is also held for students.

Absolutely dissatisfied in each and every respect.
Placements: The college provides zero placement. In short, no placement, no package. They just know how to make fun of the student. There is no company related to mechanical, and the companies like IBM makes fun of students by recruiting at 1 Lacs per annum package. No internship is provided. The college has a placement cell with zero placement. It is not useful.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is okay. There are Wi-Fi with limited access and labs with the faulty computers. The food is the worst for hostlers. The classrooms are okay. Everyone will face the issue in this. Non-trustworthy college, avoid it.
Faculty: The teachers might be qualified but of no use. They are not helpful. They believe in marks, not in knowledge. The teaching quality is very low. 60:1 is the student-faculty ratio. No industry exposure is provided. The course curriculum is not useful at all. Avoid taking admission in this college.
Other: The college has the worst fest. Low campus crowd. Bad Wi-Fi connectivity.

Totally dissappointed because of placements.
Placements: Zero placement in this college for Mechanical Engineering students. Neither the seniors nor the juniors got campus placements.
Worst engineering college in terms of placements.
An engineering college without placements is nothing. I would never recommend this college to any of the students.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure, Wi-Fi, labs and other things are satisfactory. Hostel facility is also not bad. Hotel rooms are not very good but still, students can manage.
Mess food is good and you avail the Wi-Fi facility in this college. Library is good in this college so that you can get your books issued from the library but the library staff is not so good.
Faculty: The faculty is not very good except some teachers and students have to prepare themselves. Industry exposure is approximately nil and you will be unaware of the things at the time of entry in the industry. The college is affiliated with Kurukshetra University and there is no problem with the curriculum.
