CS Executive Syllabus: ICSI prescribes the ICSI CS syllabus for Executive, Professional programmes. Candidates preparing for the CS Executive, CS Professional examination must check the important topics for preparation. Earlier authorities announced the new syllabus for ICSI CS that consists of the Online Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET), Executive programme and Professional programme. The last date for appearing under ICSI syllabus old syllabus is December 2024 for Executive programme.
CS Professional Syllabus: Candidates who have registered for the ICSI CS Professional programme under the old syllabus (2017) can apply for switch over to CS Professional new syllabus (2022). Such candidates desiring to switch to new syllabus are advised to acquaint themselves with the CS Professional syllabus (2022) and paper-wise exemption details to begin preparations. The last examination under ICSI CS Professional old syllabus (2027) will be held in June 2025.

Q: Â Are there unlimited attempts in CS executive and CS professional?
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) conducts the CS Executive and CS Professional exams, which are conducted twice a year in June and December. There is no limit to the number of attempts for either of these exams. Candidates can appear for the exams as many times as they wish until they clear all the papers of the respective level. However, it's important to note that there are some time limitations for completing the CS course.
A candidate is required to complete the CS Executive programme within 3 years from the date of registration and the CS Professional programme within 5 years from the date of registration. If a candidate fails to complete the course within the stipulated time, they will have to re-register and pay the required fee to continue with the course. It's important to regularly check the ICSI website for any updates or changes regarding the number of attempts or other related policies.
Q: Â For how long will the old syllabus and pattern be applicable for CS Professional?
The last date of appearing for CS Professional examination under old syllabus is in December 2024. Candidates preparing for CS Professional exam will have to appear for the CS Exam as per new syllabus from June 2025. The first examination under CS Professional new syllabus 2023 was held in June 2024. Candidates could apply for ICSI CS Professional new syllabus from August 01, 2023. Q: Â When can I apply for CS Executive Programme examination?
Candidates who have qualified the CSEET exam will be able to apply for the CS Executive exam. CSEET November 2024 results will be announced soon. Candidates who are declared 'pass' will be able to register for the CS Executive June 2025 exam (both modules) till November 30, 2024. Candidates registering after November 30, 2024 will be able to apply for single module only. The last date to apply for CS Executive June 2025 session (single module) will be notified.
The CS Executive Dec 2024 exam dates has been announced. The exam will be held from June 21, 2024 onwards. Candidates are advised to stay updated with the cutoff dates of ICSI CS Executive December 2024 session at https://www.shiksha.com/college/icsi-delhi-institute-of-company-secretaries-of-india/icsi-exam-dates.

To appear for the ICSI CS Pre Examination Test (PET) candidates must refer the steps mentioned below:

Step 2- Click on the 'E-learning' tab followed by Pre-Interview Test (PET) tab
Step 3- Select the examination to appear for
Step 4- Select the module
Step 5- Enter the login credentials- Your login ID is your registration number (without any slash sign) suffix with @icsi.edu for example- If your registration number is 1234567/10/2018 then your login ID will be 1234567102018 [at]icsi.edu and fefault password for first time login is Learn@1234
Step 6- Appear for the Pre-interview test online.

Students who are registered under CS Executive new syllabus and CS Professional new syllabus shall have to appear for the Pre examination test to become eligible to enroll and appear for the CS Executive or CS Professional examination. The exam will be conducted by ICSI. the exam will be served as an eligibility criteria to appear for the main examinations. Candidates will be required to pay the pre examination test fee of INR 1000 online. Once the payment is realised, candidates will be sent invitation along with the login ID and password.
