IIEST Shibpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,Howrah

Placements: IIEST is a great college. It has got a better reputation than NITs and it has arranged mass recruiters, core companies and analytical companies for placements. I myself got a job (actually 2 jobs) from L&T and Haldia Petrochemicals thanks to IIEST, Shibpur. Lots of companies like Google and Facebook visit our campus. PSUs like CIL (Coal India Limited), BNR (Bridge and Roof) for civil placements. Analytical companies like Mu Sigma, ZS Associates, Deloitte and PWC visited our campus. All students ...

Placements: I believe cent percent placement happened this year. I do not remember the exact figures. However, the figures might be available on the university website. Companies like HSBC, Samsung, Mjunction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Joy Mining, CTS, TCS, IBM, etc. visited the campus this year.

Placements: The placements of our seniors are good and almost all of them were placed with the highest package being 12 LPA which was given by Texas Instruments and the lowest was 2.5 LPA which was provided by some IT company. Also, various companies like Texas Instruments, Deloitte, Musigma, etc. take students from our college.

Placements: The placement of this year was very good. I got a job in analytics but overall, recruitments were done by mostly IT companies. Core companies don't come. Moreover, the teaching regarding the placement process is absent. Alumni should be contacted for sharing industrial experiences.

Placements: It is very good. Companies like CIL, Maruti, PWC, Vedanta, etc. come for campusing. IT giants like Microsoft also recruit from our college. Other core companies are Larsen and Toubro, Tata Steel, CESC, ZS, etc. come for recruitment purpose. Many of these companies like Larsen and Toubro and Tata Steel also provide internships at various levels to the interested students. On an average, the salary offered is 6 lakhs pa.

Placements: For the last few years, mining has a close to 100% placement. The top recruiting companies being Coal India Limited, Vedanta, L&T mining, etc. The training and internship scopes ensure further success as you have industrial exposure. The scope of this department mainly broadens as it is 111 years old starting from 1906.

Placements: I am a final year student. Most of the student of our batch got placed in various companies (Amazon, GE Digital, SmartPrix, TCS R&D, Microsoft, HSBC, Directi, and some MNCs like Infosys, IBM, CTS, Accenture, Wipro). Nearly 67 percent students are already placed. Highest CTC is offered by Work Applications (32 lakhs per annum). Placements: There are a lot of companies that have visited our campus. Almost 90 percent of our batch got placed. The highest salary is 14 lakhs per annum and lowest is 3 lakhs per annum. Some of the companies are CTS, Accenture, Wipro, Google, etc. Offered roles are graduate engineer trainee, system analyst, associate software engineer, etc. 40% of our batch got internships too. The highest stipend offered was 30k per month and lowest was 5k per month.

Placements: Our batch's placement is still in session here. As for our senior batch, the placement was good in terms of the market situations. Until 16th July 2016, the amount of students placed were 274 out of 406. The highest CTC offered was of 32 LPA by Works Application in off-campusing while the median CTC was 5.15 LPA.
