The selection is based on GATE scores followed by COAP Counselling. Candidates shortlisted are invited for written exam or interview round for final selections. Candidates seeking admission to the BSc at IIT Jodhpur must meet the minimum IIT Jodhpur BSc eligibility criteria. Candidates who have passed the Class 12 examination in relevant stream from a recognised board can get admission to the BSc programme offered at IIT Jodhpur.

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main.
