The Science and the HSS Department of IIT Kharagpur started four-year BSc programme admission to which is subject to a valid rank in JEE Advanced exam.  Aspirants seeking IIT Kharagpur BSc and Integrated MSc admission need to qualify for both JEE Main and JEE Advanced exams to get shortlisted. For eligibility, candidates are required to have completed their Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate. Yes, IIT Kharagpur accepts CAT scores for admission to its MBA programme. The selection process involves a Personal Interview (PI) with a 40% weightage, Application Rating (AR) contributing 20%, and CAT score accounting for 40% at the final selection stage. The Aggregate Score, derived from these components, determines the candidates' selection, emphasising the importance of their CAT performance. Admission decisions are based on the ranks achieved in the Aggregate Score.

The answer is no. It is possible to get admission in any IIT with JEE Main score provided a student also qualifies the JEE Advanced exam. As per the official details of IIT Kharagpur admission, admission to IIT KGP fBTech programme is subject to a valid score in JEE Main and JEE Advanced followed by JoSAA Counselling. Additionally, students must have also completed their Class 12 with 75% aggregate (for the General category).

However, there are other courses offered at IIT Kharagpur which does not require a student to have a score in JEE Advanced, such as LLM, PhD and MBA. If the dream is just to study at IIT Kharagpur, students can also opt for other courses basis their current eligibility and course requirements.
