Really good infrastructure, facilities, faculty and student atmosphere in campus.

Faculty: Staff, including faculty advisors and TAs, are well-qualified and kind to students, which makes students feel free while asking questions. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. The semester exams aren't really tough compared to others; attending classes and using the assignments for practice is more than enough to score a good CGPA.

Vibrant campus life, amazing internships & placements but dissatisfied with the mess food hygiene.

Faculty: Faculty in our course really are very good. They are very knowledgeable and qualified (usually all have done Ph.D. and research). The teaching style is very interesting and interactive. Course structure is the only thing that made me choose this branch. The course is very relevant to the industry demand. Semester exams are felt difficult but also very practical with a good mix of theory. Pass percentage—about 40% marks are considered safe.

Review of titles in Kharagpur.

Faculty: The teachers are very qualified and knowledgeable. They have good teaching qualities. This course is curriculum relevant, but students are not industry-ready. The semester exam in my college was very difficult. The pass percentage in the exam is 40% in all subjects.

Glimpse of IIT Kharagpur in 2025.

Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful and some teachers are very rude. I think this course curriculum is relevant. When I talk about difficulty in semester exams, in some subjects, you will feel it is very hard and in some subjects, you feel it is so easy so it is dependent on the subject. Approximately 50 percent of the students pass in some semesters but in some semesters approximately 80 percent of the students pass.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good peer connection, and night walks.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and make learning enjoyable. They build our foundation for a topic and expect us to do more research and build upon that foundation. In short, they don't do spoonfeeding and expect us to do further studies ourselves. The curriculum is relevant. For the CS department, concepts such as DSA, operation systems, and network architecture are taught very well. For other stuff such as web development and app development, we have to do it ourselves. Exams are moderate, excep...

Highly satisfied with the placements and campus, though classrooms could have been better.

Faculty: The faculty for our department is excellent, though some courses taught in the first year seem irrelevant. The professors are highly friendly and helpful, which is a very good thing. The difficulty of the semester exams depends completely on luck, sometimes it is tough and sometimes easy. Despite this, the overall pass percentage is very good.

Satisfied with the faculty and placements, campus life is good, and overall a solid 4.5/5.

Faculty: Faculty indeed is top tier. As far as the curriculum and exams are concerned, the opinion might vary person to person. Though I think everyone will agree that the curriculum is pretty burdening. Well, what would you expect from an IIT after all? Competition is high; exams are accordingly difficult. However, the CGPA is distributed relatively, so that mustn't be a concern if one starts studying at least a week before the exams commence.

IIT Kharagpur - Indian Institute of Technology review.

Faculty: The faculty at IIT Kharagpur are very learned and helpful. Some of them use a smart board and share PPTs, while others prefer to use the green board. They give regular class tests and assignments, which help in preparing for the mid-semester and end-semester exams. The end-semester exam has more weightage in the overall CGPA.

Honest overview of IIT KGP.

Faculty: The student-faculty ratio is 14 faculty members (teaching assistants and professors) per student, which is more than enough. The faculty members and TAs are approachable. Debraj sir of Physics is very dedicated, trying to include each student and ensuring they understand every topic. However, other TAs don't have much knowledge regarding teaching or understanding student problems; they only know the solutions to the discussed questions. Regarding exams, there are two main exams each semester: t...

The mother of all IITs and its review

Faculty: Teachers are qualified, but some of them don't know how to convey their knowledge to students. It is relevant and updated according to industry standards and we also have industry training at the end of the 5th semester to give students a hint about ongoing industry standards and practices. Exams are moderate. Preparation a week before is sufficient.
