I am absolutely satisfied because of the faculty members, good placements, and infrastructure.
Placements: About 80% of students in our college get placed. The lowest salary package is Rs. 15,000 per month, the highest is Rs. 40,000 per month, and the average is Rs. 30,000 per month. The top recruiters are GFK Solution, ICICI Bank, and PCS Global. About 100% of students get paid internships from Ardent Collaboration.
Infrastructure: We have labs for all the departments. For our department, we have a DSP lab, an antenna lab, and a microcontroller lab. There are various types of labs for other departments. Our hostel is average, not so good, but there you can get healthy food and a reliable place to stay.
Faculty: Our faculty members are good and very helpful. They are always ready to help. They are qualified and knowledgeable. Our principal is one of the best teachers that we have ever seen. He is a Ph.D. holder and has done amazing work with other professors. The teaching quality is very good. This course is curriculum relevant and it makes students industry-ready if our perspective is as freshers. Exams are quite tough, but 90% of the students pass them without any difficulty.

Other: I did my B.tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from IMPS College of Engineering and Technology. The college has a decent library but the labs need improvement. During my final year the placement was not at all good. Only Infosys and Syntel were prominent recruiters and majority of the students were not placed. The faculty of ECE department is knowledgeable. The hostels are not up to the mark.

Other: IMPS College of Engineering and Technology has got a mix of pros and cons. The quality of education and the faculty is good, but the main problem lies in the fact that the faculty members get changed quite frequently due to various reasons. This hampers the smoothness of the study and difficult to adapt with frequently changing pedagogy. The town has got a poor standard of living, so the expenses are minimal and doesn't take a heavy toll on a student’s pocket with limited funds. Taking placements into consideration, the institution doesn't provide a firm hold in bringing in companies and provide placements, leaving behind a huge chunk of students having no job at hand.

Other: Not a good college. Faculty members are bad. Infrastructure is bad. Labs don't have enough equipment. Whatever equipment is present is badly maintained. Campus interviews are very less. Companies that do come for recruitment, hire a few students. I would not recommend this college.

Other: Indian School of Mines made me what I am today, you get exceptional people to interact with, you get opportunities equivalent to any other college, only thing is the teaching quality in core branches (CS, ELEX) is not at par with other colleges, but then student get a lot of time to improve themselves on their own. The only negative thing I saw in my 4 years was the "Matiyao" attitude of people, because of which the students may not be known so much as much their potential is.
