Placements: The placement opportunities offered are average. The placements have been good for the batch with major companies visiting our campus for placements. The students who have good academic scores and perform well in extracurricular activities get placed very easily. The job profiles vary from sales to research and strategy domains.
Placements: Senior batch is 100% placed, and most of the 1st year batch is also placed in summer internship. The highest salary offered was 27 LPA, the lowest was 9LPA and the average was around 11.4 LPA. Roles ranged from B.A. to financial advisory. Most of the students got an internship from college. The highest internship stipend was 1.2L. The college has a placement cell and it is very useful.
Placements: Placements were good with an avg. pay package of 11 Lacs. 98% of the batch got placed till now. The highest pay package was 57 Lacs and the lowest was around 8 Lacs. The internship was good as 95% of batch got placed through campus placements and avg. stipend was around 25k per month.
Placements: The summer placements are not at all good. Really unsatisfied. Only 31 students out of 120 finance students have been placed after the placement week which is below par. Moreover, lot of placement events are waste of time. Not at all satisfied on this part.
Placements: Batch strength is too much and placement head cannot place so many people. Placement process is not transparent at all and keep in mind one thing; placecommers will get placed first. When placement cell is unable to place you, they start looking for excuses to debar you from the placement. For eg. Say you forgot to wear a tie to an event, won't allow you in audit when you are late; you will be forced to miss the event and later on debarred from the process.
Placements: Summer placements have been disappointing as students who didn't get placed in the first month of placement had to apply outside on their own or compromise with the profile of the company and the role offered. I got summer internship offer from college itself and for one month they put us on standby giving some training material and for next month we're told to sell some insurance. This is not expected when you pay 16.5L fee for 2-year management programme.
Placements: Summer placements in the first year are good individually but compared to senior batch intake number and good companies visiting the campus has gone down. Top 50 and top 100 are as much as available in the public information. But for a batch of almost 600, most of the internships offered with Rs. 15,000-20,000 per month stipend. For finance, good opportunities are taken by CAs and CFAs who have prior knowledge and experience. Engineers have a hard time in finance. Comparatively, marketing is bet...
Placements: The placements have been decent at IMT, Ghaziabad. Although we do not get big companies from any industry (BCG, McKinsey, Bain for Consulting, P&G, HUL for FMCG), we still attract good companies such as PwC, Philips Lighting, Mahindra, Britannia, DE Shaw, Goldman Sachs, etc. The students will definitely have to fight hard for their placements due to the huge batch size. The shortlisting criterion for companies is something that cannot be predicted, leading to a lot of uncertainty about placement...
Placements: In terms of marketing companies, a lot of well-respected names in retail, IT, and pharma, as well as a growing number of startups and growing companies visit the campus to offer roles in sales and operations. In terms of finance companies, many of the top banks visit the campus, for fin-operations roles, and limited core finance roles. In terms of HR, a few companies do come for the limited candidates. Please refer to the placement reports released by the placement committee as I am not suffici...
Placements: Placements are okay. If you have the talent, you will easily be able to get into any company you want. We have got companies such as Whirlpool, Google, Microsoft, etc. It is all up to you. The lowest salary starts with 7-8 LPA with a median of 10 LPA. The maximum package is 24 LPA.
IMT is a college for those who want to learn to fight in the real world beginning from your college life. The 600+ students will indeed make you more competitive and ready to take on challenges. But it is also very daunting and frustrating at the time of placements when there are so many like you (may be better in some ways or weaker in other). The fees of the college are decent with respect to other colleges and the facilities that are provided by the college.
The feel of being in a blue-blooded B-School sinks in from day one itself and gradually improves with each passing day. 600 peers from backgrounds as diverse as one can imagine making way for the best learning experience one can ask for. Competitions, quizzes, events, sports, parties, case studies are the words you feel like routine in this wonderful place. A library which welcomes you 24*7 is a place to gather knowledge.
Classes at IMT are interactive in nature and are a healthy mix of formal lectures, case studies, and presentations. An equal weight of 50% is given to both internal and external exams. Tests are conducted on a regular basis which can be both, planned as well as surprise in nature. Its flagship course in Marketing, a regular case study is the major part of the course. There is a good mix of students from different parts of the country. Students have a very healthy atmosphere to learn and interact...
Once you are in, the first thing you will notice is the filtered crowd. The people there might not all be studious, but they sure have a decent IQ. You will feel the heat of competition during summer placement times in your first year and obviously during the final placement week in the second year. The placements are pretty good for the first hundred, ordinary/poor for the last hundred and average for the rest (Be it profile, brand, salary etc.) And it's fairly easy for anyone to be in the bott...
