IISWBM MSW Courses & Fees 2025

IISWBM offers MSW (Master in Social Welfare) course in regular mode. Candidates have to choose any two areas of specialisation to qualify for the degree. The specialisations include Labour Welfare, Community Organisation & Development Practice, Correctional Social Work, and Child & Family Welfare. The two-year course is divided into four semesters. Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management MSW course includes features like dual specialisation, summer internship, and fieldwork.

Admission to the course is based on scores in a written test followed by group discussion and personal interview (GDPI). After graduation, students will receive degrees from the University of Calcutta.

IISWBM MSW Admission 2023: Eligibility, Selection & Fee

Candidates can pay the IISWBM MSW fees in four instalments. The first instalment will be INR 60,000 at the time of admission and the final three instalments of INR 40,000. Candidates wanting assistance in bank loan facilities can reach out to the department officials. Moreover, only the candidates who fulfil the eligibility conditions shall be eligible to sit for the entrance test. However, seat allotment is based on the selection criteria.

• Eligibility: Honours candidates or equivalent course or bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Final admissions are based on the norms of the University of Calcutta.
• Selection: Written Test + GDPI
• Total fees: INR 1.8 lakh

NOTE: The total fee includes a refundable deposit of INR 10,000.

IISWBM MSW Application Process 2023

Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management MSW application process is carried out in online and offline mode. Aspirants can either fill out the form by visiting the official website or collect the form and brochure from the institute’s reception against a cash payment of INR 700. The steps to fill out and submit the online form are as follows:

IISWBM MSW Application Process 2023: Documents required

The list of documents required at the time of application is given below:

• Class 10 & Class 12 mark sheets (original & self-attested photocopies)
• Bachelor's degree certificate & mark sheets (original & self-attested photocopies)
• Proof of Date of Birth (Birth certificate, Class 10 admit card, Passport, etc.)
• Aadhar card
• Caste certificate (SC/ST/NC-OBC, if applicable)
• Physical Disability certificate (if applicable)
• Below Poverty Line certificate (if applicable)
• Work experience certificate (or other documents of current employment status)
• Recent passport size coloured photograph

NOTE: Candidates must submit self-attested photocopies of all the above-mentioned documents along with original documents for verification.
