Candidates must note that qualifying percentile for JEE Mains 2024 is the minimum percentile required to appear in JEE Advanced 2024. For admission to NIT or IIITs, there is no provision of qualifying marks in JEE Mains 2024 and admission is given based on All India Rank in JEE Mains exam. NTA will announce JEE Mains 2024 All India rank in April after session 2 exam results.

NIRF 2024 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2024 rankings, IIT Indore ranks #16 under the category 'Engineering'.

The GATE 2025 registration process with late fee is closed now for admission to the MTech course. The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025.

JEE Main 2025 Session 1 registration has closed for IIT Indore admission to BTech, BArch, and BPlan courses. The JEE Main 2025 Session 1 exam is scheduled to be held from Jan 22 to Jan 31, 2025.
The JEE Advanced 2025 exam date has been announced for the BTech course. As per the official website, the JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be conducted on May 18, 2025. Further, the application form will be released in Apr 2025.
The IIT JAM 2025 online registration process for admission to the MSc course has closed now. The IIT JAM 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on Feb 2, 2025.

IIT Indore Highlights 2025

Indian Institute of Technology Indore, popularly known as IIT Indore or IITI, was established in 2009. IIT Indore was founded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and is an institute of national importance. Located in Simrol, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, IIT Indore is one of the eight new IITs initiated by the Government of India. Other IITI courses include a BTech + MTech dual degree programme in a range of specialisations for students to choose from. IIT Indore (IITI) History

Some of the historical facts of IIT Indore are listed below:

Established in 2009, IIT Indore is one of the eight new IITs established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development under the Institutes of Technology Amendment Act, 2011.
The Act was passed in the Lok Sabha on 24 March 2011 and by the Rajya Sabha on 30 April 2012.
The HRD Minister of India of that period, Arjun Singh laid the foundation stone of IIT Indore on 17 February 2009 in its permanent campus located in Simrol, Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
IIT Indore worked from 2009 to 2010 in its temporary campus at the Institute of Engineering and Technology of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya under the mentorship of IIT Bombay with Dr. Pradeep Mathur as the founding director.
The first batch of IIT Indore graduated in 2013, and the institute celebrated its first Convocation Day on 8 June 2013.
IITI moved from the two rented campuses to its permanent campus in Simrol in October 2015.

IIT Indore JAM Cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 2. The most competitive course was M.Sc in Biotechnology with the Cutoff rank of 64. For the OBC AI category candidates, the Cutoff for M.Sc in Biotechnology closed at 135.

If the Cutoff rank is more than 64, for the General AI category candidates, there is no scope for admission to IITs for M.Sc in Biotechnology.

No, IIT Indore BTech admission is strictly entrance based. Admission to IIT Indore BTech is allotted on the basis of candidates' performance in JEE Main exam, candidates who qualify IIT Indore JEE Main cutoff are then required to appear for JEE Advance followed by the counselling round conducted by JoSAA. JEE Main is also the eligibility test for JEE Advanced. Only those candidates who have qualified for JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced entrance test for admission to IIT Indore BTech courses. To seek admission to the BTech programme offered at IIT Indore, candidates need to visit the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and fill out the application form in online mode for JEE Main.
