IGIT is the best engineering college.
Placements: Approximately 50% students get placed in companies like Adani Group, L&T, TRL, Collins Aerospace, Visa Steel, JK Paper, Dalmia Cement, AMNS, MSP Steel, Mahaveer Ferro Alloy, and software firms like TCS and Tech Mahindra. The salary package is 7.5 LPA, and 2.5 is the lowest. The average is 4.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The facilities include Library, smart classrooms, Wi-Fi, playground, auditorium, primary hospital with ambulance, ATM, etc. The hostel facility is available for both boys and girls with proper food in the canteen. We get hostels on the basis of merit, but sufficient rooms are not available for all students in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, but the way of teaching is not appropriate. Along with that, they need to properly study before teaching in class so that they can easily teach students. The course is not sufficient to make students ready for industry performance. Exam level is moderate.
Other: I am interested in this course because want to know about machines, mechanism as well as engineering study.

My college taught me how to live life.
Placements: Students must have a CGPA above 8 to sit for placements. The average salary package is 5 LPA - 6 LPA. Top companies like L&T, PPL, TCS, and Wipro recruit students. Most of the students get internships at NALCO and HAL. Some students secure internships at Tata Steel as well. Approximately 60% - 65% students get placed.
Infrastructure: Every student gets a room in the hostel. Facilities in each hostel are well-maintained. Wi-Fi is available. A dispensary is provided by the college. The quality of hostel food is good. The college motivates students toward games and sports. Sports events are organised every year.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and highly qualified in their respective courses. Students can frequently discuss their studies or projects with them. They will guide them in the correct direction. Exams are conducted strictly, with a moderate level of difficulty, and are held on time.
Other: My curiosity about understanding how machines work led me to choose this course. College provides a supportive environment for studying and expressing thoughts. Odisha government offers scholarships to many students, such as the post-matric scholarship.

Placement opportunities are good, accompanied by a low course fee structure
Placements: Placements for mechanical engineering at our college are good. Companies like L&T, PPL, Adani, JK Paper, etc., visit our college for placement drives. The average salary package offered ranges from 3.5 to 4.5 LPA. Role offered is as GET in most of the companies. Placement drives are currently ongoing, I am unaware of the exact placement percentage. Around 50-60% of students from the mechanical branch are placed in reputed organizations.
Infrastructure: From hostel facilities to food quality and the courses, everything is better compared to many private colleges. The 4-year course, along with hostel accommodations, is very affordable. Wi-Fi facilities provided are good and fast enough.
Faculty: Overall, it's a good experience. In our college life, we will gain wide exposure to the field of robotics, which is enjoyable. We will have plenty of time to prepare for other competitive exams along with our semester studies.
