A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Based on the provided reviews, here's a summary of the course curriculum structure for BE/BTech programs at the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET):

Course Curriculum:

* Relevance: Students generally agree that the course curriculum is relevant to the field of study, covering both theoretical and practical aspects.
* Practical Knowledge: Many students feel that the course curriculum focuses more on theoretical knowledge and less on practical application.
* Outdated Course Material: Some students mention that the course material is outdated and requires updating to reflect modern technologies and techniques.
* Industry-readiness: While some students appreciate the emphasis on practical knowledge, others feel that the course curriculum doesn't adequately prepare students for real-world industry requirements.
* Flexibility: The programme allows students to choose electives and specializations, giving them flexibility in their academic path.

Here's a breakdown of the curriculum structure:

* Core Courses: The core courses cover fundamental concepts in engineering, such as mathematics, physics, and chemistry.
* Specialization Electives: Students can choose electives to specialize in areas like computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or electronic and communication systems.
* Project Work: Project-based learning is incorporated into the curriculum, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world problems.

These are IT companies, and civil engineering students have less knowledge in computer languages, so they end up getting the lowest role in these companies.

Try to avoid taking an admission in IET DAVV.
Placements: The average package offered in this course is around 6.7–7.5 Lacs, with around 96% of students getting placed (I got this data from the orientation program, which was held on the 2nd day of college). CS/IT-Branch-Students get more placement offers. In 2021-22, the highest package was above 40 Lacs, and in the year 2022-23, the highest package was about 22 LPA.
Infrastructure: The campus has one of the worst infrastructures you can find in a college. It doesn't even provide basic things like a working fan. The chairs and benches are in very bad condition, the walls seem like they're from around 2 decades old. The college didn't get renovated. Washrooms don't have water, with water coolers in a very bad condition. There is a library, which has zero books. You can only get the syllabus-books. There is Wi-Fi with 1 Kbps speed. The canteen is very small and it doesn't have availability of snacks. There is no playground in the campus. They don't even have a single chessboard.
Faculty: The teachers are good, but as it is an independent university, they can change the syllabus at the very last moment. The exam level is high, and except for maths, it is very difficult to find study material for the exam. The teachers aren't really strict regarding the attendance. There are 3 mid-semester tests conducted, while in the other colleges, the number of tests conducted is only 2.

An honest review by a student of IET DAVV.
Placements: At IET DAVV, the average yearly placement is approximately 60 to 70 percent, with the highest package being 28 LPA and an average package of 5 LPA. Companies like NRI Fintech, Deutsche Bank, ZS Associates, and many others visit the college. Around 40 to 50 percent of students secure internships.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good, with each department having its own building, labs, workshops, library, and incubation center. Wi-Fi is available on campus and in the hostel. The hostel rooms are double occupancy, and the mess, which serves average food, is located near the hostel. Hostel seats are limited, and the sports facilities are lacking, with no big ground on campus; students have to go to the university for sports.
Faculty: The faculty members are supportive, well-qualified, and trained. The curriculum is very good, focusing on the technical development of students, which helps in placements. The semester exams are average, not too tough, and almost all students pass easily and perform well.

Reality Of IET DAVV:- Should you take admission?
Placements: Over 90% is the placement percentage of our college. The average package offered here is about 5 LPA and maximum package offered here is about 26 LPA. There is also a 56 LPA package offered off campus by the Australian company Atlassian. The companies that visit here are Wipro, Zs Associates, Atlassian, Goldman Sachs, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, and Amazon.
Infrastructure: There are all the basics that you will get in our college: blackboards, whiteboards, smart boards, different department labs, a central library, student Wi-Fi, and average overall infrastructure. In the hostel, there will be 2 shared rooms with decent facilities; there is also a college mess whose food is fine; and there is a canteen area where you will get all the basic amenities. There is a cricket ground where you can play cricket and to play other sports, you have to go to the university, which is 1 km away.
Faculty: All teachers are well qualified and experienced and all are Ph.D. holders with deep knowledge of their respective subjects. The curriculum is truly meant to make students industry-ready. Here, you will be taught about subjects in your fields. There are well-established labs for each department. End seems to be much more difficult than whatever professor teaches in class is asked in the end.. Generally, every student passes exams.

Faculty: The faculty members are well qualified with masters and Ph.D. degrees. There are lots of visiting faculty members in the college for students. The faculty members to student ratio is 1:80. Good return on investment.
Placements: IET DAVV Indore is known for its strong placement records in the Information Technology department. The highest placement is 57 Lacs per annum, and the average placement is around 5 to 7 Lacs per annum. There is a good return on investment. Some mass recruiters include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Accenture.
Infrastructure: IET DAVV boasts a sprawling campus with a mix of modern and older buildings. The central library, IT center, and auditorium are well-equipped and cater to the needs of Information Technology students. Classrooms are spacious and well-lit, equipped with projectors and other teaching aids. The canteen is decent, and food options are also diverse.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, with most of them holding PhDs and M.Tech degrees. They possess strong industry experience and actively contribute to research and publications. IET uses a continuous evaluation system, which involves regular quizzes, assignments, and presentations.

Take this college only if you get CS/IT.
Placements: The highest package was 31 LPA for 2023 batch and average was 8 LPA. The placement was decent and good number of companies visited the campus. Almost 90% students got placed in CS/IT, the placements are decent for Electronics and telecommunication and Electronics and Instrumentation. There is almost zero placement for Civil and Mechanical branch. From this year onwards, new branch Computer Science with business analytics is added into college. Z associate, NRI fintech, Z scale, VM Aware, TCS, Delloite, Credit Susie, Deutsche bank were main companies which came for recruitments.
Infrastructure: All labs and buildings are good, but hostels and mess are unhygienic and stingy. The campus is big enough but due to lack of negligence too many wild shrubs has grown inside the campus, there is a lake inside campus but it is becoming a swamp due to lack of maintenance. Sports facilities are available but they are very limited, and to access them we have to go to the main campus of DAVV which is 1 km away from IET. There is only one canteen in whole college which is over priced and with no proper sitting area and that too is unhygienic.
Faculty: The curriculum is well designed and fulfills all the industry needs. Some teachers are very humble and polite as well as knowledgeable, on the other side half of the teachers have nothing to do with students, God knows what kind of ego they have. But of course some teachers are very good too. Difficulty of semester exams depends upon faculty allotted. Few exams are very easy and few are very tough. The passing percentage is 35 marks out of 100.
Other: I got Information Technology branch, which is good branch with good placements. Almost every student in this institute get at least one scholarship. I got MMVY scholarship under which I got all my tuition fee as well as hostel fee get paid by government, so I am studying here for free. I wish Infrastructure of college should be improved as well as the college should clear wild forest grown inside the campus and make some new buildings with some chilling monuments for students. This will grow the reputation of college and will attract best talent. Events happens regularly in college, same as fests, but Annual fest AKSHANK is something which is spending for last 5 years. Campus crowd is decent at least in CS/IT branch. There are more students who prioritize marks instead of those who prioritize knowledge and skills. I wish college should do something to make students problem solvers not job seekers.
