It is one of the best colleges in Assam.

Placements: Almost 60% of the students got an internship in different companies. Campus recruitment is done in the final year as different companies visit our campus to recruit students. Many students got their jobs with a handsome salary with good placements. I will refer to the new generation to join this college.

I like this college because it provides best education in the whole city. My college is the best.

Placements: Our college doesn't have the placement feature. We have to find a job by ourselves by going on interviews. In our city, there's no multinational company that hires buy Campus placement. Most people just move to some different cities with the availability of more jobs. (EX: Bangalore, Guwahati). .

A overview of JB college

Placements: I don't think they provide any placement options for the BA students, I have seen most of my seniors going for higher education rather than finding jobs right after completing graduation, however somebody needs job they may get 2-3 lakhs per annum after completing graduation.

I am absolutely satisfied with the faculty members.

Placements: There were no placements in our college till now. They don't provide any training, and our college doesn't even have a placement cell yet. They don't offer any professional courses. A training and placement cell needs to be built, and members from each department need to be recruited.

The college is striving for excellence in the learning field with an emphasis on development.

Placements: There are no placements or job opportunities provided in our college. Internships are also not provided in JB college. It is a government college. Tata Consultancy Services recruits students from our college. Students are allowed to complete the courses on a semester basis and go for MA further which is also provided in many departments. The college stands 64th in NIRF ranking of top 100 colleges.

As my experience at JB College for past 2 years, I felt never to hesitate to question any teacher.

Placements: JB College was the first non-governmental college. As my experience in so far JB College, feeling and tilling with the seniors are the best. Many problems and programs have taken place, so far basically on fire and safety, many meetings, and debates. Many internship related programs have occurred after B.A. Degree. Although, the campus is well-situated and recently, it have become autonomous.

JB college - the most preferable college in the northeastern region.

Placements: I didn't get any placement, but the college is very good at studies, and also the professors are very supportive of the students, which is great. I had a great experience in the college. In the last few years, the students are getting placements in companies like TCS which is very great.

Jagannath Barooah College.

Placements: After completing B.A., You don't get any placements. You can go to M.A further which is present in this college. The level of teaching in this college is better than any other colleges in Jorhat. That is the reason why this college stands at 64th NIRF ranking among top 100.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the average quality faculty and placements in 2013.

Placements: There were no placements from our batch & our senior batch. 0 % of students were placed. No placements so no question of salary. No company visited the campus. No students got internship from the college. No placements cell in our campus. It was not at all useful.

Jagannath Barooah College.

Placements: This college is the best general degree college of Dibrugarh University. In-campus, placements are held every year. The TCS offers job opportunities to arts, commerce as well as science students. However, students also get the offer from core PSU like OIL, ONGC, NRL, etc., as off-campus placement. Last year, the TCS recruited almost 50 students, and the package was of 1.8 LPA in-hand salary. The exact CTC is not known to me.

Good infrastructure, faculty and management

Placements: The college usually selects over 40-50 students for a particular course. It organises a kind of entrance to admission new students and the merit list also matters. I highly prefer the upcoming candidates to enroll here in JB College, now a university

This is the best autonomous college in Assam for B.Sc. or B.A.

Placements: Almost 50 percent of students got government jobs. There is no package offered by any company in this college. In my course, there is no recruitment from any company. It is basically a college for government jobs.

Review of JB college of Jorhat.

Placements: Our college initiates some entrance tests for various subjects and based on the percentage of marks obtained on that test, one is selected. Around 65-70% of students got placed in our college. There are no strict rules in our college. Students have to do their best in every site and can impress everyone.

I am absolutely satisfied with faculty, good infrastructure, and facilities.

Placements: Our college does not provide placements. Students start an internship cell, but it is not recognised by the college. Internship cell takes advice from the dean and college. Our college should start providing internships that can be credited.

JB college of Jorhat is one of the best colleges of Assam with great faculty members and facilities.

Placements: Most of the students are currently working, and many students opt for higher studies. Even some of us switched our area of expertise. The connections made in college helped us a lot. If you want to study here, you won't regret it.

I am satisfied with this course. Overall, college ambience is good.

Placements: The course which I opted was Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). I got selected on the campus in Tata consultancy services, and along with me, many other students from our college got selected. I had an excellent experience at this college. The salary package offered to the students is decent and up to the mark.

The college needs to improve in terms of placements.

Placements: I'm from JB college 2019 batch, no one from our batch got any placement. There's no placement guarantee in JB college. Passout students apply for jobs by searching them on their own. The amount of fee the college take from students is a bit high compared to the facilities they provide.
