Good placements in 2023, Really vast and green campus .
Placements: Almost 80% of students in our course are placed. Recruiting companies are Amazon, Juspay, Celebal Technologies, Hexaware Technologies, Ericsson, BEL, etc. Mostly SDE and SWE roles are offered. The highest package in our course is 27 LPA and the lowest is 7.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure in our department and also other departments is well. Labs are modernized with good facilities. Modern classrooms are available. There are a lot of books in our library. Four hostels for boys and one hostel for girls are available in our college. There are lots of opportunities for sports and games like cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, etc.
Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful and also qualified from prestigious institutes. Our syllabus is designed to make the students industry-ready. Our college provides industrial training in collaboration with industrial trainers. Our college is autonomous, and semester exam questions are moderate. The pass percentage in our college is 87%.
Other: From my childhood, I have been passionate about engineering, especially in computing and core electronics. Each year, two fests are organized in our college: one is a cultural fest, JECLET, and another is a technical fest, SRISTI. There is vast greenery on the campus of our college. SVMCM, National scholarships, and also a lot of private scholarships are available to provide financial support to the students.

About our college curriculum, faculty, and good placement, there are low concerns.
Placements: In the year 2023, almost all students are placed, with the majority of students being placed on campus. Some students secured off-campus placements in big companies, with the highest package being around 44 LPA on campus and 64 LPA off campus. The average package is around 8-9 LPA, and the lowest is 4 LPA. The top recruiters are Cognizant, Byju's, Birla, etc. Almost 60% of students got internships in the previous year. The top roles are SWE (Software Engineering) and senior engineering positions.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is below average, but we have access to all types of facilities in our college. In the hostel, we have LAN available for internet access; there are some proxies, but the LAN speed is excellent. Wi-Fi is not available in the hostel or class labs. The labs are average, but all important instruments are available. We have one central library in the college, and each hostel has its own library. The hostel food is moderate, neither too good nor too bad. There are many canteens available on our campus. Although medical facilities are not available in our college, there is a hospital beside the campus. JGEC has all sports facilities, including cricket, football, volleyball, racquet sports, etc.
Faculty: All teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. They are excellent. All courses are relevant to the curriculum, and the maximum is relevant to the curriculum as well. It prepares students for the industry. Semesters are easy, but you have to study from the beginning. The pass percentage is likely around 80%.

The JGEC Diary ( The good and bad side of a Tier 3 college).
Placements: In this academic year 2023-2024, 60% of final-year students are placed. The highest package is 60 LPA from Computer Science and Engineering. The lowest package is 3.6 LPA. The top recruiters are Atlassian, WTW, Knorex, Microsoft, Hexaware, L&T, etc. Ninety percent of students got internships from our college. The top roles offered in our course are Software Development Engineer.
Infrastructure: The hostel infrastructure is not too good, but they provide us with a LAN connection for the internet. In the hostel, they provide two meals a day; there is no breakfast. In front of our hostel, there are various playgrounds like football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, etc.
Faculty: In our college, some faculty members are good, but the majority are below average. Most of our faculty members completed their degrees from tier 2 or tier 3 colleges. In this course, the curriculum is mostly irrelevant. They don't prepare students to work in the industry. The difficulty level of semester exams is medium, and the pass percentage is 95.
Other: I chose this course as I didn't get a chance in NIT/IIT. The best thing about our course is that after graduation, you can either enter the IT sector or the Core sector. I hope that our college will provide good quality placements in both sectors. There are two main fests, one is the Cultural fest, and the other is the Technical fest. The Cultural fest is named JECLET, and it is the biggest fest in North Bengal.

Really big campus area and good placement but remote location.
Placements: We have good placements; last year, our college achieved a 99% placement rate. Every year, many companies visit, such as TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, Larsen & Toubro, Tata Motors, and various others. Our teachers help us become qualified for the jobs, and seniors assist us with mock interviews.
Infrastructure: We have free internet in the hostel; the labs are high-tech and help to make various types of projects like line following robots done with face recognition, etc. The food is average in our hostel, not so good, and doesn't have a buffet system. We have a full-fledged hospital on our college campus, and within a kilometer, we have a medical college.
Faculty: The teachers are quite helpful, not all of them, but most of the teachers are very helpful. The qualifications of our teachers are mostly Ph.D. or M.Tech from reputed institutes. The course curriculum is quite industry-facing. The semester is quite tough as it is an autonomous college. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I have chosen electronics and communication engineering because I am in love with electronics. But also to secure my future in an area where I am comfortable. There are two fests in our college: techfest Sristi and annual fest Jaclat. Besides that, we get opportunities for countless events.

Our college has a great environment for studies and offers great placements.
Placements: I think 80-90% of our college students were placed in our course. The highest package is 66 LPA. The lowest package is 3-4 LPA. And the average package is 8-9 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Amazon, Google, L&T, etc. 80-90% of our students got internships in various companies.
Infrastructure: In our college, we have very clean and fresh rooms with fans and ACs, Wi-Fi, a library, good faculty, learning rooms, seminar rooms, auditoriums, and other facilities. In our college hostel, we have very good rooms, Wi-Fi, a library, seminar halls, etc. Also, a good quantity of food is available in the mess, canteen, and there are facilities for sports and games.
Faculty: In our college, all respected teachers are helpful, highly qualified, and very knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good. In our college, all courses have a relevant curriculum. It doesn't just make us industry-ready, it makes us learners. Semester exams are a little tough but good. 40% is the passing mark.
