Good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: 75 percent of students get placed. The certificate is very valuable. You can become a No, SNO, CNO according to your dedication and hard work. It is a top college, so it will make an impression on all interviews. Internships were available here, and they are paid too.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and the library are available 24 hours. All types of messes are available. There are wide-spaced, full, and well-ventilated classrooms; some of them have AC also. You will have any medical facility once you are a student; you have consideration also. Different types of sports and courts are available here.
Faculty: The curriculum is very relevant. It includes various types of new things every year that will help you to achieve good grades. It is a yearly course. Once you could not complete the paper, you have to appear for a supply. If you don't pass the supply, you should study that year once more.

This is a good college to study paramedics and MBBS.
Placements: Internships are provided in our college itself, so we don't need to go to other colleges. We work in MRI labs, CT scans, X-rays like chest X-rays, emergency X-rays, and also in the catch lab. During the internship, we get a stipend of 5000 rupees. In the coming years, it might increase.
Infrastructure: In hostels, it is very clean, and there are maids for cleaning the rooms and doing laundry. Also, we can cook in the pantry room, and they also provide kettles for making hot water or tea. There are heaters in bathrooms, and hostels are very clean, and a 24-hour security system is there.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified ones. They teach us very carefully without making any mistakes and in a neat way to understand easily. For anatomy, we have a well-maintained dissection hall. Curriculum is easy only. We have a yearly university exam, and it is easy only.
Other: About my course, it is quite interesting as we have postings in many roles, so that increases our opportunity to get a job.

Memories in JIPMER campus.
Placements: Actually, in JIPMER, there is no placement at all. However, JIPMER is the second-largest medical college in India, which makes JIPMER degrees more valuable than others. In our course, even though there is no placement, there is a 6-month compulsory internship with a stipend of around INR 13,000.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are air-conditioned with enough space. Lectures are taken by faculty members and are of very good quality. There is JIPMER Wi-Fi available for students' use. Our hostel, Nightingale, is near the College of Nursing. In the hostel, three persons are accommodated in one room. If you want a single room, you can get it in the third year. JIPMER also has facilities for futsal, basketball, and throwball.
Faculty: The JIPMER faculty members are well-educated and are known for their excellent teaching methods. The curriculum is moderately tough, with only a 10% chance of failure. The final exams are a bit tough. If you earn enough marks in Internal Assessments, you can easily pass the final exams; otherwise, it becomes a little hard.
Other: I chose B.Sc. Nursing because of its job opportunities in India as well as abroad. This medical field assures a job with a decent salary after graduation. If you try for a government sector job, you can easily find opportunities like Kerala PSC, AIIMS, JIPMER, etc.

Best place for those who want to be a great doctor.
Placements: 99.9% placements for every pass-out students. Students receive between 50k to 2 lakhs from private hospitals and up to 3 lakhs for JIPMER. All medical internships are done in JIPMER itself, which is a 1-year course with a stipend of 30,000 for doctors.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available, and all labs have advanced classrooms that can accommodate 200+ students. The library works 24/7 with air conditioning. Food is average and not very good. Single and double room hostels are available, and there are many cultural programs and games, including indoor and outdoor activities. JIPMER Wi-Fi is available almost all over the campus.
Faculty: The faculty consists of highly qualified professors. They provide excellent teaching with PowerPoint presentations as well as chalk-and-talk methods (though there are a few bad teachers). The class provisions are updated, and teaching materials reflect the most recent versions. Exams are a little difficult to pass, with 80% pass rate. We have to study hard to achieve passing marks.
Other: I would like to be a doctor. It would be good if they allowed air conditioning in the hostel, as it's too hot in Pondicherry. Spandan and interclass competitions are also held.

My campus through my eyes.
Placements: The percent of students who were placed in my course is above 90%. and the highest and lowest packages are 4 LPA and 2.5 LPA. And my course provides mandatory internships in here and it develops skills to perform the case and understand the situation here.
Infrastructure: JIPMER provides free Wi-Fi for students everywhere in the campus. The vast and spacious library is open for students for 24 hours and it is so special. It contains a lot of medical books and journals and JIPMER has a lot of sports items.
Faculty: Faculty are specialists in anatomy and physiology, and we have 3 internal exams, one end-term term and one university exam. These 5 exams have marks added up to UPAT and the internal exams are a little difficult to pass, but the university exam is easy. This course is completely curriculum-relevant.
Other: In my batch, there are 37 students and they are coming from different parts of India. So we share our culture, knowledge and food. We spend time together and we enjoy our lives here.

Satisfied with faculty care, good placements, and excellent facilities.
Placements: Most students pursue PG courses after completing the MBBS course. Those not interested in PG courses can work as general medical offices in government hospital. Working as a medical officer also allows them to prepare for the NEET PG exam.
Infrastructure: In our hostels, they provide Wi-Fi, labs for all departments, good classrooms, and a library. Hostel Wi-Fi is available 24/7, and there is an uninterrupted power supply. Hot water is provided for bathing and drinking purpose.
Faculty: All the faculty members are qualified, and their teaching quality is commendable. With a smaller student body, teachers can focus on each individual. The curriculum provides immediate practical knowledge. Semester exams are somewhat challenging and based on practical knowledge.
Other: I chose the MBBS course to serve people as a doctor. Seniors organize various events and fests like Onam, Diwali, etc.

A:

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) primarily offers undergraduate and postgraduate medical programs, including Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and various postgraduate medical courses. Therefore, it doesn't typically offer B.Sc programs. JIPMER is renowned for its medical education and research facilities, with graduates often securing lucrative career opportunities in the healthcare sector upon completion of their medical degrees.

Q:   What is the latest cutoff information for admission to B.Sc at JIPMER?

A:

JIPMER doesn't disclose specific cut-off marks for B.Sc admissions. This is because admission is based on the NEET UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Undergraduate) ranks, and the cut-off rank fluctuates every year.

Here's a breakdown of why JIPMER doesn't use a fixed cut-off mark and how to estimate your chances:

  • Rank-Based Selection: JIPMER considers the All India Rank obtained in NEET UG for B.Sc admissions. This means students with higher ranks have a greater chance of securing a seat.

  • Factors Affecting Cut-Off Rank: The cut-off rank for JIPMER B.Sc varies depending on several factors each year. These include:

    • Total Number of Applicants: With more applicants, the cut-off rank tends to rise.
    • Difficulty Level of NEET UG: A tougher exam might lead to a higher cut-off rank even with the same number of applicants.
    • Number of Available Seats: The total number of B.Sc seats offered by JIPMER also influences the cut-off rank.
  • Previous Year's Trends (Reference Only): While not a guarantee, looking at the previous year's closing ranks for JIPMER B.Sc (specifically for your category) can give you a general idea of the competitive range. Search educational websites or college review platforms for this information, but be cautious of outdated data.

Here's how to improve your chances of getting into JIPMER B.Sc:

  • Strive for a High NEET UG Rank: Focus on scoring well in the NEET UG exam. Aim for a percentile that aligns with the previous year's closing ranks for your category at JIPMER (consider a margin for possible variations).

  • Stay Updated on NEET UG Announcements: Keep an eye on official NEET UG websites for exam dates, registration details, and any changes in the selection process.

By aiming for a high rank in NEET UG and staying informed, you can increase your odds of securing a B.Sc seat at JIPMER.
