Review of JIS college of Engineering.
Placements: I don't know the exact percentage of students placed so I'm not able to tell this. But the IT department of JIS College of Engineering is pretty good. The average package of IT is 4-5 LPA. But if you have skills you can get a higher package. From IT you can go to any teaching profession, like Developer, cyber security professionals, and many more.
Infrastructure: The College Campus is pretty great. Labs and library are always open for everyone and you can sit & study. I don't stay in a hostel but as I know the hostel is not good & the food is not worth it. I suggest that take PGs or any room for rent. For food, you have many hotels.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They clear your doubts. Sometimes they took surprise tests. The HU programme is good for adapting aptitude skills & soft skills like giving an instant speech. That makes you industry-ready. In this program, you have to give a speech on time and that makes you feel nervous. But day after day this programme makes you & gain confidence.

Best College in B.Tech.
Placements: In the recent placement season, JIS College of Engineering achieved an impressive placement rate of over 70%, with top recruiters including well-known names in IT, finance, consulting, and manufacturing sectors. The highest salary package reached an impressive figure of INR 20 LPA, while the average package hovered around INR 4 LPA, making it a competitive institution in the region.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities at JIS College of Engineering provide a comfortable and supportive living environment for students. Located conveniently close to academic buildings, the hostel saves computing time and makes campus life easier for residents. Rooms are well-furnished, typically with options for single, double, or triple occupancy, allowing students to choose accommodation based on their preference and budget. Each room is equipped with basic furniture such as beds, desks, wardrobes, and a shared bathroom, all maintained with regular housekeeping services.
Faculty: JIS College of Engineering's curriculum is well-structured, updated regularly to meet industry standards, and supplemented with guest lectures and seminars from experts across various fields. Practical application is emphasized through projects, lab work, and internships, enabling students to understand the real-world implications of their studies.
Other: JIS College of Engineering also hosts an annual cultural fest and sports meet, which are among the most eagerly anticipated events of the year. These large-scale events bring the entire college community together and often attract participation from other colleges, adding to the excitement.

Satisfied with the curriculum but the facility.
Placements: I'm from B.Tech CSE currently in the first year. This year, only 18 percent of students got placed. The highest was 7 LPA and the lowest was 1.3 LPA. Mostly mass recruiters come like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, etc. Big companies like Google or Microsoft are a dream for college students.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is pretty good. They provide flipped class learning. There are Wi-Fi labs and libraries. The quality of food in the hostel is not so good. Sports and games are decent. Fests are also held. Two fests — cultural fest and tech fest — happen here. They are pretty good.
Faculty: The course curriculum is one reason I joined this college. The passing percentage is 6 CGPA. There is no internship facility provided by the college. Placement is also not so good. Average placement is still lower than the whole college feels. You should not think about placement if you are joining this college.
Other: This college is not doing so well. They increase fees without prior information. Student voice is not valued here. The management is everything here.

An Inside Look at JIS College of Engineering: Academics, Campus Life, and More.
Placements: Our college provides us many opportunities than other colleges. Till now, 20+ companies have come to our college for placements. Till now, the highest package that was offered is 7.5 LPA by Capgemini and the lowest is 4 LPA by Cognizant and Tech Mahindra. The average package here is 4.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our college has all the facilities and infrastructure like well-equipped labs and a robotics lab, where students can use them to build their projects. There are also mentors available who can guide well in specific fields. Hostel rooms are better than average colleges, where students get bedrooms which come with B.Ed. Almirah, etc., and also have attached study rooms. The hostel has a routine of various foods so that we do not have to eat the same food every day. Our canteen is very spacious and gets cleaned twice a day. The canteen provides many varieties of food, but its sink area is very unhygienic as water gets logged every time. Our college has common rooms which have various indoor games like chess, carrom, billiards, and many more. Our college has a massive-sized ground and sports clubs like cricket, football, volleyball, and badminton.
Faculty: The professors are knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects. Most have advanced degrees and real-world experiences, which adds a practical layer to the theory portions of the curriculum. They are approachable and willing to support students outside of classroom hours. Our college has a well-designed course curriculum which includes both foundational theories and industry-relevant skills. Semester exams can range from moderately challenging to tough. The pass percentage is very high and students rarely get any backlogs.
Other: I'm a student from the Information Technology department. I have chosen it because it has the most number of placements compared to any other departments of the college. In IT depth, we get excellent teaching faculty and a good environment. Our college organizes various events throughout the year and 2 major fests: (1) MaJIStic (Cultural fest) and (2) JISTech (Tech fest). Extracurricular activities are also present, like NCC and NSS.

Our college provides a great campus life and qualified faculty members.
Placements: MNCs and small companies visit our college for recruitment. Only a few students got placed in core companies. Irrelevant roles are offered like sales, marketing, customer care, etc. Companies like TCS, EY, Deloitte, etc., visit our college. Consulting companies also visit our college for recruitment. Some startup companies like Camptra provide internships.
Infrastructure: The campus has Wi-Fi but it is not free. Our college provides Jio Wi-Fi. We have to use our mobile plan data. Our canteen is not good. The food available in the canteen is not food. Hostels are unrelated and hygienic. The rooftop cafe and labs are good. The HVAC system never works, keyboard and mouse are faculty.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced, helpful, and knowledgeable. They're available 24X7 to help students. Especially Ritadrik and Kallol. Industrial and academic relevance is on point. The curriculum is followed by MAKAUT.
Other: I chose this course because I want to get a head start in the IT industry. Subjects related to the degree could've been increased, and the choice of relevant electives is lacking. Fests and events like cultural programs, hackathons, and teach fests are great. Various scholarships are available like domicile and minority. Bihar and WB credit card schemes can be enjoyed.

Truth is what I am showing you.
Placements: I am in my third year. Till now, I don't have any exact information on how many students get placed in our department at our college. I have some senior friends who told me that almost 20% of students have been placed till now. I am also hoping for a good placement.
Infrastructure: The hostel is not good from my point of view. Very little maintenance is done by the authority of the college. There is Wi-Fi everywhere in college. And labs are also in a good environment and are very well maintained. Classrooms are almost okay.
Faculty: There are a lot of teachers who have good knowledge of their respected subjects. But there is not much maintained curriculum. The curriculum always fluctuates. But some teachers are very punctual about their course and syllabus. I would rather say IT has better teachers.
Other: I chose the college because it is very close to my house. I had taken a drop and my friends are also in this college. So to avoid the daily crowded travel, I chose this college.
