Q:   Is Jodhpur Institute of Engineering and Technology Tier 1 or Tier 2?

A:

Jodhpur Institute of Engineering and Technology is overall a Tier 2 institution. The institution offers engineering programs and shares the status of a university with Bikaner Technical University, Rajasthan. While JIET is by no means equivalent to the status of class 1, like IITs or top NITs, JIET has developed a reputable academic curriculum as well as an emphasis on practical training with engagement from the industry. This will allow the college to attract local students for which it can offer placement opportunities in different sectors, though its actual clients are probably going to come from local or less competitive job markets as compared to Tier 1 colleges.

JIET college a review by student.
Placements: Few students got placed and the average salary package is also not very much as expected, it's 2 LPA-3 LPA. Rarely some companies visit with 20 LPA to more than 30 LPA salary packages. There are criteria if one wants to get placed like the CGPA, 10th and 12th percentage should be eligible to sit for placements.
Infrastructure: College has a huge campus divided into 2 parts, South and North campus where different departments are situated and huge grounds and separate canteen for each campus. I don't have much knowledge about hostels because I'm a day scholar and we are back home after college is over.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and cooperative in every aspect of our college, and even in personal problems when we need them. Some teachers are less qualified, some are very qualified. Course curriculum is moderately difficult, little to moderate studying can easily get some passed.
Other: There is a cultural fest that goes for 72 hours straight once a year.

It's worth this value, so go for it.
Placements: According to my college, 100 percent placement is guaranteed, but the truth is that around 95 percent of students got placed. The highest placement in my college was 33 LPA, which was placed in 2023, and the average package is around 7 LPA. Companies like TCS visit our college, and it depends on the skill of the students how they get placed.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of the college are good. The campus is not that big, but Wi-Fi is available at every corner of the college. Smart classrooms and labs are there, and a central library is available, which includes almost all books. Faculty in my college are friendly and helpful in nature.
Faculty: Teachers and staff are qualified in my college. Some of them have Ph.D.s in their field. They are experienced and know how to deal with students and how to help them. The course makes students confident in their field. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty, and a minimum of 40 marks is required to pass, so it's good.
Other: Since my course is Computer Science Engineering, there are 6 sections, each containing 60 students. Three sections are made up of 20 students, and a specific tutor is assigned to help us. There is a big event called Resonance, which is cool and lasts for 3 days.

Average college, according to the students.
Placements: In my B.Teach course, only 50–60% % students get placements and most of the remaining student either pursue high-level degree or open a privately owned business. The highest package we ever got was 33 LPA, and the lowest we got was 2 LPA. The top companies which recruit here are V project India, Polaris smart metering pct, Mechlin Technologies, etc. The percentage of students who get internship from our course is around 9200% and most of the companies are found through the web portals of the college like Infosys, etc. Most of these companies are based on front-end web development; a few companies just given internship in backed or any other field.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and labs are in good condition; classrooms also have a good smart study system; but the library is not app-friendly. The condition of the hostel is average, and one room is allotted to 2 boys or girls. The quality of the food is average, but the hostel has a duct system. Sports entertainment happens every week or every day. The college also provides all the sports-related things to the students.
Faculty: The teacher's knowledge is just average not so good, not so high faculty sometimes don't know the topic. Also, we have to sometimes research the topic first and then whenever we ask the question to the faculty, They just avoid if they don't know the answers or either search the internet If a student want to study by itself, he can get the course and pursue it easily because the college provides all the internet and all the courses for free. If you want to study, but the faculty doesn't know much in one course,. Semester exams are, on average, not so difficult. They are student-friendly and checking is also student-friendly so the student can .
Other: I choose this course because I want to pursue in software because I want to become a software engineer, which I am doing right now. I'm currently working as an intern for a very good company. The course also provides me with a very detailed study of how software houses are developed and how they are managed. How a company needs some engineer to ACT and behave according to the condition. I wish there were more practical things than the written work, like in the fifth semester We have to memorise more than do practical work, which causes some student to be less interested, so if there were more practical work in the lab, I would be more interested in the subject The event at in the college are very common; I mean, they happen every year and they are very big. They are very good. Most celebrities are called comedians here in Jodhpur, like Abhinav Singh, Bassi and other superstar comedians The campus The crowd in campus is moderate—not too congested, but it's an open area. It's so people can go anywhere on the campus and it doesn't always look like a crowded area. The connectivity through the Wi-Fi or through this cell internet (5G) is also provided on campus; no net network has been occurred in the college. The campus surrounding is mostly farmland, so it is widely open. The college is outside the city so There is not too much noise in that area every week. There are some extra curricular activities happening at the college because the student club is very good. They try to do their best and produce extra curricular activities every week, if possible.

I'm satisfied with college faculty members but dissatisfied with placement and facilities.
Placements: There is no 100% placement guarantee in our college. When we took admission we were assured of a placement. After a discussion with seniors, we realized that it is fake. They said that our college offers an average salary package of 6 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 33 LPA. After admission, many seniors got placed in different companies, but no one got a salary of more than 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our college labs, classrooms, and library are good, but Wi-Fi quality and network are very bad. Canteen food is very good and hygienic, but our mess food is not that good. Sometimes food is good but not best, and sometimes the food is hard to swallow.
Faculty: Our teachers are good and serious about our studies. They are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is pretty good, if we study properly then we can pass the subject. If students are not serious about studies then even teachers can't do anything.

I am dissatisfied with the faculty. Some faculty members are well-qualified.
Placements: A very few percentage of students get placed in this college because only some companies visit the campus. The highest salary package offered in our college is 33 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 1.8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Wipro, etc. Students did not get internships because companies do not visit the college to provide internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities which are provided in the department are a library, Wi-Fi, labs, and digital classrooms. Everything is available inside the hostel. The mess food quality is not very good. There is no large playground.
Faculty: The teaching quality is not better because only a few faculty members are well-qualified and experienced. A few of them neither have knowledge nor experience. The difficulty of the exams is not very difficult. They are moderate. The pass percentage is 33%.
Other: This course does not have value for money because the faculty here is not as well-qualified as they should be for teaching college students. They have to improve the level of the faculty.
