Placements and faculty members are good, and the infrastructure is decent.

Placements: Over a couple of years, there has been a great improvement in the placement activities in JEC. Along with private companies, many PSUs have conducted placement drives in JEC. The recent recruiters are OIL, NRL, Wipro, Vedanta PVT. LTD., TCS, Dabur etc. Most of the students eligible for placement drives have been placed successfully in several reputed companies. Companies do provide handsome packages to the students.

I am totally satisfied with the college in terms of placement the overall facilities.

Placements: JEC have noticed an increasing job opportunities as well as a marked increase in the placements as well. So over the years the placement department of JEC has done a great job in providing 100% placement for its students. Review of Jorhat Engineering College.

Placements: Placements in our college are good. Placements are offered from PSUs like OIL, ONGC, BCPL, Power Grid, etc. But you have to compete with the batchmates to attend those interviews. Other companies like Wipro, TCS, Mahindra, Airtel, are regular recruiters from Jorhat Engineering College.

An awesome place to spend four years.

Placements: The placements of our batch and our senior batch were really good. In fact, our junior batch is also getting good packages from various companies. The placement cell is really efficient, and the head is also a wonderful person and really helpful. The roles offered to students vary according to branches, but IT jobs are really good.

Satisfied with the college, and the college takes our feedback even if there's a small problem.

Placements: Placements in college are fine for some branches but not for all. The placements can be best if properly managed. Civil branch students need more placements. PSUs visit the college but recruit only two or three students. Placements are the best for computer science and engineering students; they have almost 100% placements. But the scenario is different for other branches. Placements for the mechanical, electrical and instrumentation branches are almost okay but very poor for civil students.

Since 1960, the institute has maintained its legacy regarding faculty and placement opportunities.

Placements: The institute is best known for its position in top 100 engineering colleges in India. The placement scenario of the institute is very good because of the prominent recruiters such as OIL, ONGC, Power Grid and BCPL with an annual salary package of 14 LPA. Moreover, companies like TCS, Capgemini, Zaloni, and Tech Mahindra are also the prominent recruiters of this institute.

A reputed government college in Assam. The placements scenario needs to be improved in coming years.

Placements: The placement scenario will be changed every year. Nearly 30%-40% of the students get placed while the rest opt for off-campus placement drives. Now, many students from the mechanical and CSE departments are getting placed when compared to the students of the rest of the departments. Training and placement cell is working hard to improve the placement scenario.

Placements: Around 20-30% of the students get placed. Placements for the students of all the branches are good. The students of the mechanical and civil departments get placed in Oil companies and PSUs. The students of the computer science department are also offered with some placement opportunities. Some students get placed in low-level companies, and others get placed in reputed companies.

The feeling to be a part of this college is really satisfying.

Placements: Placements are higher for mechanical branch compared to other departments. However, the number of students getting a good placement is still very low, that is around 10%. Students usually get placed in oil refineries and automobile companies like Tata Motors or Maruti Suzuki. The average package offered was around Rs. 60,000 per month.

Placements: Placements of JEC are now up to the mark. Last year at least 50% of students were placed in electrical engineering and various other PSUs, whereas many of them cleared GATE. Many of the students also cleared UPSC exams bringing glory to this reputed institute of north east India.

Absolutely a good and decent place to get education and knowledge.

Placements: Placements in the college are good featuring some of the renowned MNCs and companies like Oil India Pvt Ltd. Our seniors got some pretty decent jobs, and most of them are in prestigious positions in their respective engaged organisation. The TPO cell is very much active and tries to bring in as many clients as possible.

A sound government college with ordinary placement scenario.

Placements: The placements were a major disappointment. The college promised placements worth 3.5-4lpa before joining, but the real scenario was drastically different. Although one of the students got a 12lpa in power grid, and one ,7lpa in Indian oil, and few 2-3 LPA in it sector, a major chunk of the batch remained unplaced.
