It is autonomous now!! Placement is good. Faculty is very helpful and understanding. You get to enjoy college life as well. The fees is exorbitant though. Being a Gujarati minority, 50% of the seats are reserved for Guajarati’s though you always see more than 75% of Gujarati minorities in this college. As per engineering standards the crowd is good enough at KJ Somaiya College of Engineering (KJSCE). Fortunately, over the last couple of years, the crowd has been good and you really meet a lot of...

A college with best infrastructure in the city. It gives the students a chance to excel in their particular domains. The faculty members are both strict and friendly with the students. The college fests grow each year and become huge in terms of public as well as sponsorship. It has now become an autonomous to add a cherry on the cake. Students have a really very good campus life and canteen is also good.

The college has many facilities as like good infrastructure, very highly qualified staff who helps us in studying, good sports facilities etc. Pros: This college is ranked 4 in Mumbai for engineering. Teaching staff is highly qualified. Cons: The college is minority based college and this is biggest backdrop of this college. Due to 51% quota reserved for Gujrathi Minority, Many talented and eligible students who are above par are left behind in the stream.

KJSCE is one of the most well-known engineering colleges in Mumbai. Also, it has got autonomy last year and only 2 colleges earlier in Mumbai had this prestige. Good points: - It has the biggest campus in Mumbai. Nearly all the students get a job through the campus placements. This does not mean that you will surely get a job, but 1 thing is sure, that opportunities are plenty, it is you who should know how to grab them. There is Wi-Fi in the building and good computers to work on along with a ...

It is nice college to explore yourself personally as well as professionally. Fees: Rs. 1,10,583 per year. Keeping the facilities and infrastructure in mind, the tuition fee is exorbitant. Faculty: Lectures are certainly conducted in English and most of the professors are M.Tech/PhD holders but striking a chord with the students has always been a problem here. Placements: Students take admission here because of the placements. Placements at KJ Somaiya College of Engineering are good and have ...

K J Somaiya College of Engineering is among the top 2 and best colleges in Mumbai for engineering. Recently this college has become autonomous which shows that it’s best for making career in engineering. It is even better than VJTI and Sardar Patel. Campus life is best as it is amongst the colleges having huge campus in Mumbai. The placements are also are very good. I would suggest to opt for this college without any confusion.

The college, besides having a good educational background, also marks top position in organizing events, festivals, and other extracurricular activities. The best thing about this college is The Principal, who always encourages us to move forward in whatever we initiate. It’s a perfect destination for the new beginning.

The institute has a mixture of pros and cons. The college has an excellent campus. Placements are up to the mark. There are various clubs to join and extra-curricular also. The college is very strict in attendance. Faculties are ok, not that great and since its autonomous now too much power is there in hands of the teachers.

Overall, KJSCE is a very good college and should be amongst the top choices of a student, if s/he resides in this part of Mumbai. For others, travelling becomes a disadvantage. A good bet for an average scorer. While placements is one of the strong plus points of this college; average faculty has been a perrenial problem. With its recent autonomous status, KJ Somaiya will surely strive hard to become one of the top engineering colleges in Mumbai.

The campus is huge with a sports track file and some small grounds surrounding the college, and the crowd is mostly decent gujju crowd. You will love the canteen and a small Maggie house which sells coffee and Maggie. The faculty isn't too bad. Also from the past few years even the placements are going fine and a lot of good companies are approaching us. If you are not so nerdy kind of a person and wants to enjoy the campus life then this college is surely for you. This college has recently turne...
