Well-versed faculties with good knowledge of the subject, 100% placements, good infrastructure.

Placements: Talking about placements, so our campus has been visited by 24 companies and almost 90% of the students have been placed. Last year the placements were 100% with 87 companies conducting the interviews. This year's highest package is 10 L.P.A offered by Microsoft. In the even semester, many startups will be coming for the interviews and will be recruiting the students.

Decent but assured (90%) placement - K J Somaiya

Placements: The placement was good, not in terms of the average package but in terms of percentage of the students placed, when compared to the other engineering colleges in Mumbai. The average package was around 3.2 to 3.5 LPA, the highest was 6 LPA and the lowest was 1.8 LPA(this was stipend). Some of the companies were L&T, Godrej, Reliance, Voltas, AKER solutions, ThyssenKrupp, and many consulting firms.

I am currently studying electronics engineering in KJ Somaiya College of Engineering. It is an autonomous college. The campus is big and attractive. Greenery is maintained well which is the attractive point. Teaching is good yet attendance is low. Library is huge. The college is situated nearer to the Vidyavihar station, Mumbai.

If you want to enjoy the four years of your engineering journey, then KJSCE is the place! It's just so much fun being part of this college. We have fests and other events going on all year long. There's not even much study pressure. The faculty is average, only too good if you attend lectures. Attendance is never an issue in KJSCE, not even in your first year. The campus is huge and beautiful. But the fee is too much, like around 170k per year and we do not have the classrooms or computer rooms....

The best part is the students of this college. They do take part in lots of initiatives and in the process one gets to learn a lot. This college is full of life. You'll definitely enjoy the four years there. But during our time college was much stricter about attendance. I personally would prefer a more lenient for that matter.

Practical labs are well maintained, extra activities are great, good canteen food. Nearby to the station.

One of the most perfect college to study engineering. Faculty support is nice. Infrastructure is nice too. Study resources are easily available. In fact there are many co-curricular and extracurricular activities encouraged. Now being autonomous has given much more good things to curriculum.

The college has many facilities as like good infrastructure, very highly qualified staff who helps us in studying, good sports facilities etc. Pros: This college is ranked 4 in Mumbai for engineering. Teaching staff is highly qualified. Cons: The college is minority based college and this is biggest backdrop of this college. Due to 51% quota reserved for Gujrathi Minority, Many talented and eligible students who are above par are left behind in the stream.

K J Somaiya College of Engineering is among the top 2 and best colleges in Mumbai for engineering. Recently this college has become autonomous which shows that it’s best for making career in engineering. It is even better than VJTI and Sardar Patel. Campus life is best as it is amongst the colleges having huge campus in Mumbai. The placements are also are very good. I would suggest to opt for this college without any confusion.
