Good placement and a huge campus.

Placements: I think placement is the plus point of KJSCE. I got one company, and almost 90% student(without KT) got placed in the companies. Around 20 to 40 companies visited, and mostly, computer and IT students got their dream company. Still, many companies are coming. At the end of February, the non-criteria companies also visited the Somaiya campus.

A fun place to enjoy 4 years of your life and a definite job offer at the end!

Placements: Placements for the senior batch were comparable to ours. By the end of the course, nearly 100% of the students were placed. The highest offer was from Morgan Stanley while there were a few startups at the lower end. There were no internships from the college during our time.

Good placements in the IT and CSE sectors.

Placements: When talking about the placements, I would say the college has a potential of roping in big MNCs as it has happened this year around when Microsoft visited the campus, but for the core students, I would recommend you guys to work really hard to get through the placements. Fewer core companies visit the campus but one thing is for sure that each and every student will get a job at the end of the placement procedure.

Somaiya- Be proud to be called a student of this college.

Placements: Placements were always good at KJ Somaiya, Vidyavihar. The placement cell head has contacts with MNCs, startups and other companies of all domains of engineering. Also, teaching institutes had come for placements at last for hiring. Maximum placement is for IT. In 2015, Morgan Stanley gave the highest package of Rs. 16 lakhs to students. (2 students were selected). Then other companies came like Barclays which offered Rs. 7.2 LPA, Diebold (6 LPA), Indus Valley Partners(6 LPA), Seclore (5.2 LPA)...

Infrastructure of the college is good and faculty is average. It is nearby to Vidyavihar railway station. College has world class facility for athletics and football. It boasts of a sprawling campus which is lush green. Canteen is pretty cheap and flooded with students. Labs are well equipped and students get ample opportunities in extra- curricular activities. The bonus is that it has a very good placement cell and placements are decent enough.

An excellent college for engineering with one of the finest campuses in Mumbai. The faculty is cooperative and all of them boost for innovations. With teams like Orion Racing India, Red Shift Baja Racing, Team Onyx for aeromodelling, Robocon etc. students can get live experiences of working in team for projects. The placements are good and the college has a good reputation in the industry. The library is quite well equipped with variety of books and a large reading hall.

I am currently studying electronics engineering in KJ Somaiya College of Engineering. It is an autonomous college. The campus is big and attractive. Greenery is maintained well which is the attractive point. Teaching is good yet attendance is low. Library is huge. The college is situated nearer to the Vidyavihar station, Mumbai.

If you want to enjoy the four years of your engineering journey, then KJSCE is the place! It's just so much fun being part of this college. We have fests and other events going on all year long. There's not even much study pressure. The faculty is average, only too good if you attend lectures. Attendance is never an issue in KJSCE, not even in your first year. The campus is huge and beautiful. But the fee is too much, like around 170k per year and we do not have the classrooms or computer rooms....

The college is a good place to study. The students get good exposure to extra and co-curricular activities. Also, attendance is not that stringent. The college is accredited and so holds a good reputation especially for mechanical engineering. The campus is really huge with a hostel facility and there are lots of canteens. The bad side is poor infrastructure as compared to the fees charged. Teaching and faculty could be better. The college is autonomous since 2015, so its really a good choice to...

The best part is the students of this college. They do take part in lots of initiatives and in the process one gets to learn a lot. This college is full of life. You'll definitely enjoy the four years there. But during our time college was much stricter about attendance. I personally would prefer a more lenient for that matter.
