Review of K J Somaiya College of Science and Commerce.

Placements: Almost 50-60% of the students were placed in great companies. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA. The lowest was in the range of 1.5 LPA - 2 LPA. The recruiters were Line, Rubicon, Kewa Organics, Cipla, etc. All the students were offered internships in the final semester. Top roles offered were scientists, QA, QC analyst, and a chemist.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is top-notch. All modern facilities are available. The campus is vast and very clean. There's Wi-Fi everywhere. The labs are well-equipped. The library has a vast collection of books. All the classrooms are large. There are 5 canteens on the campus. The mess offers delicious food at affordable rates.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and highly qualified. The teaching quality is great and versatile. The course is highly industry-oriented. The semester portion is a little vast but not very difficult. The pass percentage is high. There are various workshops and guest lectures by eminent personalities which provides a great experience.

Other: I opted for this course because I wanted to pursue a career in pure Science. There are various workshops and guest lectures by eminent personalities. There are important programs like the Industrial Orientation Programme. The events and fest in the college are amazing. It's a great experience. The crowd is modern.

Other: The faculty is very nice. The college lacks in some facilities like no proper ventilation in labs. The admin people are not much supportive and the admission process is very tedious. But the faculty is of great quality.

The college is amazing with top placements just go for it you’ll not regret a bit

Placements: As botany is a growing field of interest almost 90% of students were placed in this course. Highest package that the course offered was 30k p.a lowest was 10k and average 15k. Top recruiting companies are Britannia industries , IKEA etc. almost 70% students got internship in IKEA.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is amazing as it has a wide beautiful campus to hang around , ambient classrooms and peaceful library also clean washrooms and best labs.The hostel also provides the best facilities with hygienic food and clean utensils tables and chairs. The canteen serves tastiest and amazing food with healthy alternatives.

Faculty: The teachers here are high class and handpicked from top universities. They are fluent in English and masters in their field and very much helpful. They are very kind and pays attention to each student and never falls back on clearing doubts. Yes they make the students industry ready too

Other: I chose this course because botany has been my favourite subject since school and I love to explore plants and nature.

It is the most well disciplined and marvelous campus with good placements.

Placements: Above 80% of students were placed in our course. Rest of them got placed off-campus. Top recruiters were Sun Pharma Pharmaceutical, Manisha Labs, Ajanta Pharmaceuticals, MacLeods Pharmaceutical, and other big companies that hired students on campus. The top role offered was R&D officer.

Infrastructure: I opted for M.Sc. in Chemistry which had two divisions. Each had 24 students in it. There were separate classes for them and 6 practical labs for 3 subjects. There were 3 labs for one division. The hostel was completely hygienic and also cleaned regularly by staff. It had 24 hours water and light connection. Rooms were spacious and filled with natural light.

Faculty: Teachers in our college were helpful and strict at the same time. They were excellent at explaining each topic of their respective subject. They also taught us all practicals which were important for the industrial point of view. They taught us instrument handling and calibration. Semester exams were fun. Though the syllabus was hard, our teachers taught us very well.

Other: I chose this course because of my brother's recommendation. I was completely satisfied with the course and college.
