Candidate must have passed VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. from schools situated in Tamil Nadu.
Tamil Nadu native candidate who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. or their equivalent exam from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply. They should produce Original Nativity Certificate.
Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years can be eligible to apply.
Sons & daughters of All India service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply. A Self declaration from the parent in this regard is to be produced.
Children of employees in the Public Sector or Government recognized institutions had been working in their organisations for the past five years are also eligible, irrespective of their domicile.

Our college has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Almost 85% of students got placed in our batch. Our college invited top MNCs and startup companies. I got placed in TCS. Placement trainers and coordinators helped to find the right company and career. Students placements coordinators are assigned to know the difficulties of students and helped them to get placed in good company.
Infrastructure: Our college was Wi-Fi enabled. classrooms were well-designed. Laboratories were available in our college. Libraries were filled with books. Computers and stadiums were clean. Sports kits and trainers were the top qualities. A playground was available to play indoor and outdoor games. The food was good.
Faculty: The teaching quality was good. The course curriculum was relevant and made students industry-ready. Teachers who were holding Ph.D. degrees taught high-level industry-oriented technologies. The pass percentage was decent. In our batch, the final year pass percentage was 87%. Teachers served good quality of education and discipline.
Other: The college was surrounded by trees. The environment of the college was good.

It has good placements & friendly teachers. But due to corona, we missed our industrial visit.
Placements: Almost 65% of the students got placed in our college. About 30 % of the students got placed in double and triple companies. Placement and pass percentage is increasing every year. In the current academic year, the pass percentage is about 98%. This is the greatest achievement for us. Many had gone for internships in the final year, and many students are doing industrial projects.
Infrastructure: Our college has a neat and hygienic hostel and mess facilities. Hostels and mess are clean. We have 2 shared rooms and three shared rooms provided at a low cost. Hostel fees are low Rs. 30,000 for one year including mess fees. Beds are provided in the hostel. Each room has a separate washroom.
Faculty: About 98% is the pass percentage for current students. Many students don't have any arrears. Students here have a good CGPA of 8 to 9. The average CGPA is over 7.5. It is proud to be part of our college. Our college staff supports us well. They are very talented, friendly, and supportive.
Other: There are nearly 1500 students in our college .

It is a good college which provides a good course and good placements.
Placements: Almost 85-90% of students got placed from college. The highest salary offered was 4 LPA, and the lowest salary offered was 1.8 LPA. An average salary offered was 2.2 LPA. Infosys, CTS, TCS, Data Patterns, and Innovonz visit our campus for recruitment. Flow controller and industrial instrumentation were the roles offered. For management students, the fee was Rs. 97,000 per annum, for community-based students, the fee was Rs. 3,000 per annum, for first graduation students, the fee was Rs. 47,000 per annum. Almost 80% of students got internships in Madurai, Coimbatore and Chennai. In Chennai, Aaron measurements, Innovonz, Math technology were the companies offering internships. In Coimbatore ICTC, its an instrumentation core, and Nopo technology offered internships, and in Madurai, TQM offered an internship.
Infrastructure: Our college provides free Wi-Fi for students which can get connected through login details. In labs, more than 50 computers are available for students. There are wide environmental classrooms with peaceful natural air. Each classroom has a separate LCD projector, and it is very useful. We have a separate department library and has many books to read. Electricity is supplied to the classrooms all the time through generators. The quality of the food served is good, and the way of managing the food menu is also in the correct way. Medical vehicle for students and first aid kit is available for 24x7 on campus. Evening time is allotted for sports and study hours.
Faculty: Most of the staff members in our college are valuable and knowledgeable. They have specific pursuing content and overview of the subject. The way of teaching is good. Everyone was university rank holders, and the quality of teaching is also good. Around 75% of the course curriculum is relevant, and it makes to attain students to get more interaction.
Other: I chose this course because one of my friends was taking this course. The best thing about the course it that it is useful for daily life and provides clear knowledge of all kind of instruments. The college needs to get the latest updated subject in the course so that students get more knowledge about instruments. Cultural, annual day and sports day are conducted once in a year. They also organise a symposium and international conference every year. Government scholarships are available.

A unique, innovative and technical college.
Placements: In Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology, there are placements for only software and marketing fields. They conduct campus interview with the small companies also. They provide training and development services for individuals and each and every student.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Kamaraj College is really very good and up to the mark. The interior of the classrooms is also very good. The hostel infrastructure is very nice to see. Computing facilities, conference hall, classrooms, laboratories, girls zone and boys rest zone are provided by the management.
Faculty: The whole campus is connected to wired and wireless networks with Wi-Fi of 45 Mbps, but most of the Wi-Fi is not working much fast. RO water point is available at appropriate places in the campus, but it does not work for most of the time. Tamilnadu Mercantile Bank is available on the campus, and all students are advised to pay the fees in the bank directly. An ATM of TMB is available, and it works fine.
Other: In Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology, not only BE courses are offered, but also the courses of MBA and MCA are offered. Every year, they conduct the college day and all the departmental function as usual. In this surrounding, KMCET is one of the biggest campuses. The faculty motivate us for the extracurricular activities like sports, cultural activities, and competitions. They provide a scholarship for poor people but all from the government only.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty, good placements in 2015
Placements: As the strength of the college has been increased in my set, out of 1200+ students, only 315+ students got placements through the college.
In college advertisement, many MNCs such as IBM, Wipro, Infy, CTS are included as the shown fake image to the students and public.
Students are not placed in those companies.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure facilities.
Purified drinking water, RO system, waste management system, library with digital access, Wi-Fi in limited areas, medical facilities, classrooms etc.
Lab equipment is not properly maintained. No proper ground is available. The college is using the third party area as a ground.
Sports are not taken care of properly by the management.
Faculty: Using many different methodology such as blackboard, projector, OHP sheets. PPT, eLearning's rooms, EDU SAT Hall, NPTEL courses are available. As the management members are from the Virudhunagar Nadar trust, the faculty members are recruited from the board members' relatives' recommendation process, so many of the teachers are alumni of the college.
As the are recruited by recommendation, the education transformation has been spoiled by improper recruitment method.
There are a lot of issues for the faculty members working there. Proper recognition is not given to the faculty members.
