Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   Is BBM/BMS at Keshav Mahavidyalaya worth the investment?

A:
{Source: BBM/BMS students & alumni}

BBM/BMS at Keshav Mahavidyalaya: Worth the Investment?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary:

* Placement: Placements are decent, with an average salary package of INR4-5 LPA. Top recruiters include startups and small companies, with occasional visits from bigger names like D.E. Shaw, Wipro, and Deloitte. Around 20% of students get placed, with some receiving higher offers (up to INR12 lakh).
* Course Curriculum: The course is considered relevant, with a focus on practical exposure. While the curriculum may seem outdated, it's still effective in preparing students for the industry.
* Teaching Staff: Faculty members are generally helpful, knowledgeable, and well-qualified. Some teachers excel in their roles, while others might require improvement.
* Infrastructure: Facilities are average, with limited resources (e.g., poor lighting in classrooms). However, there's a dedicated BMS lab, and the library is relatively good.
* Hostel: Unfortunately, there's no hostel facility for male students.
* Internship Cell: The internship cell is somewhat inactive, requiring students to seek opportunities independently.
* Student Life: Student life is average, with limited extracurricular activities and fewer cultural events compared to other colleges.

Considering these factors, whether BBM/BMS at Keshav Mahavidyalaya is "worth the investment" largely depends on individual expectations and priorities.

* For those seeking strong connections and networking opportunities within the industry, this college might offer adequate prospects.
* Those looking for cutting-edge infrastructure and modern amenities might find the facilities underwhelming.
* Students who value academic rigor and theoretical foundations might appreciate the emphasis on practical exposure in the course curriculum.

Ultimately, potential students should weigh these pros and cons carefully before deciding whether this college aligns with their goals and preferences.

Overall, experience is average in this college. Yes, if you come only for study, it is too good.
Placements: In my course BSc mathematics honors, around 30% of students were placed in the last academic session. The highest package was 23 lakh in session 2022. The lowest was 3.5 lakh. The average was 5 lakh. Bank of America, Accenture, Deloitte, BCG, EY, Wipro, etc. are the top recruiters. I think fewer of the students get internship in my course, but in BCom and BMS-like courses, half of the students get internships, and internship companies is Boat, Unstop, etc. Analytical and research field are the major roles in my course.
Infrastructure: Faculty are actually, with my personal experience, very good for my course mathematics. Labs are good. The WiFi facility is too good. The library is also too good to be neat and clean with pin-drop silence. And students have a reading room for your separate study. In this college, girls hostel is available. It was average—not good, not bad. All sports are available except cricket.
Faculty: Professor that teach very well and they have good kind of knowledge. This only provides you with a theoretical and analytical mindset. Exam level is very hard because the examination paper was made by the university and the pass percent is 70% in the professor's hand. And in the 70, you need to get 30 marks at least to pass this. And in 90 marks, you need to get 40 marks at least to pass the exam. Overall, grade can be decided whether you pass or not.
Other: Off campus college but its good. Good connectivity. A scholarship notice will be given on the college's main website. Societies are too good and activities are also good. NSS and NCC are also there; you must need to join them.

It is a good college with low placements and with zero career.
Placements: The percentage of students who placed from our college was quite low. Mostly, placements were for B.Sc. computer science (Hons) and BAMS. The average salary package offered was 2 LPA- 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was good compared to other colleges. A student who is looking for a good infrastructure will definitely join this college. He/she will not regret the decision. The canteen food was also good.
Faculty: The teachers in our college were helpful and cooperative. The curriculum was updated and students can learn a lot. For one who focuses on study, not on other activities, definitely passes the exam easily. So students need to study hard to score well.
Other: The best thing about this college was the infrastructure and our course content was updated and relevant. Events, fests, and the crowd were also good in our college. There was good campus connectivity. Students can go home by bus as buses are easily available. The activities in our college were very less. The campus crowd was also low.

Keshav mahavidalaya : DELHI UNIVERSITY
Placements: Only 10 percent were placed Highest- 7lakh Lowest 4lakh Top recruiters -HCL,AMEX, 40percent got internship Top role offered was buisness lead the placement cell can be expanded and made better as its below average in various humanities and even science sections
Infrastructure: Canteen, water cooler, Good infrastructure of the college building as well Qualities in the hostel are not that good as it has all the old furniture and even the walls are not painted or renovated time to time. Games available are basketball, volleyball, cricket etc
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, well educated, have good knowledge and are well qualified It does not make student industry ready Semester exams are tough and have to study meticulously to pass it out. Pass percentage is about 60 percent in the first year it grows further
Other: Choose it because some of friends gave me good review of it also my marks were not too good so no options left Fest and events are organised on regular basis Crowd is also good of this college

It is a small campus with great infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: In B.Sc Hons mathematics, students would require an actuarial science course for placements earlier. However, now there are no placements for this course, but for B.Sc Hons computer science, BMS and B.Com, there are placements. The average salary package offered varies year to year and course to course, but top companies visit here like Deloitte, TCS, Infosys, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. There are multiple computer labs for each course, which are moderate in area. The library is huge with more than enough books, fiction, non-fiction, study materials, etc. The canteen is average, but it is clean. However, the food quality depends on the tender. The hostel is only for girls. In sports, you can play basketball, volleyball, kabaddi, cricket, football and table tennis, and there is a small gym inside the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and experienced. Most of them did PhD, and they are from either IIT or Delhi University. They have plenty of knowledge, but some old teachers were very lenient in Maths Hons. They would not deny solving it, but they would try to dodge it. The rest were good and did their best. Semester exams are not hard for average students, and 15-30 days of study is enough for above-average marks. This course doesn't make students industry-ready, but it is good for someone who wants to go for higher education like M.Sc, etc.
Other: Events and fests are awesome. They always invite some big singers or actors during fests. There is a Diwali mela. You can join various societies like drama, singing, western dance, classical, dance, commerce society, fashion society, etc.

Overall, the college faculty and infrastructure are good.
Placements: There are 50 students in the course, which is almost 5% of all courses. Many companies visit for internships and offer about 8 LPA. Many technical institutes also offer free lecture courses and provide internship opportunities at the same time.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are spacious and fully ventilated. The size of each room is about 10*15, and there are 8 fans in each room, which is quite good. Smart boards are installed in every classroom. Wi-Fi is also available on campus. A library is also available with many books on the same subjects by different authors for deeper knowledge.
Faculty: The faculty members of the college are highly qualified and supportive. They support students and provide general solutions to any problems. The curriculum is relevant and helpful in many fields in the future. Semester exams are likely to be easy for students who have paid attention in class.
