Placements: TCS was good here, but now, even TCS also does not take much students. The TPO does not consult any bigger and better companies. Overall, I will say that there are very bad placements as per its ranking among colleges in West Bengal and the student level. TPO will not help you in any situation, and neither will the principal. He doesn't even know how to call a company, and how to ask for placements from a bigger company executive.
Placements: Quite average. Around 130 students got placed in TCS, and around 15 got placed in Wipro and Tech Mahindra. 5 got placed in DDT, 1 in Kreeti Solutions and other few companies. For internships, you have to go for them on your own. So overall, it is quite average but with a hope that it will improve day by day as it is a government college.
Placements: Placements were good for our senior batch. Around 70% students got placed in IT sector companies. The highest salary offered was 5 LPA by Fosterwheeler and the lowest was by TCS at 3.25 LPA. The role which was offered to the students was in technical support.
Placements: Placement in KGEC is decent enough. Almost everyone gets placed but some problems remain for mechanical and electrical students who look only for core companies! The average CTC is around 3.5 LPA. Regarding internship, everyone does it in respectable companies but mostly without stipend.
Placements: The field of CSE is booming with jobs right now. The more students interested in the field and have a great prospect, the more are the chances of having a great job. Companies like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant and tech giants offer placements with packages of around 5-6 lakh PA on average. Well as they say, better the attitude during placements, more are the chances.
Placements: I am presently working with TCS as I got placed through the on-campus drive. Placement for IT/CS guys are quite okay but not highly appreciable and for core guys, it's quite poor I can say. As it is one of the best government engineering colleges of West Bengal, expectations should be higher but that is not being met. The government must pay attention and must look after this things.
Placements: For our batch, almost 90% students of information technology department got placed before the final semester. Every year, various IT companies visit our college for recruitment like TCS, Ericsson, Capgemini, etc For 2015 batch, TCS recruited 177 people out of 250 who appeared for the interview for TCS.
Placements: The placement of our college is very good. Every year, approximately every student got placed in a different company. We have a very nice and attractive placement record. Last year, Adobe visited our college. Besides Adobe, many other companies like TCS, Wipro, M.N. Dastur, Oracle, etc also visited our college every year to recruit our students.
Placements: TCS is a company that takes around 200 students from different batches every year except 2017 batch. In 2017, they took only 120 students from B.Tech (IT, CSE, mech, ECE). Therefore other pool campus placements are arranged for companies like Wipro, Ericsson, IBM, etc. You must maintain at least 60% in both 12th and throughout the diploma/degree and CGPA above 6.75 for placement in TCS. As a government college, the rating of KGEC in placement is good (3.5/5) but not excellent as Jadavpur Unive...
Placements: When we were in our first year, there were 100% placements for the batch 2012-2016. The very next year, the placement dropped to 50% and there was a huge scarcity of employment to good companies. Last year, the companies that used to hire the maximum amount of students from mainly technical streams, did not hire much due to employment deficiency since they filled their seats from private colleges in more numbers.
Placements: The placement record is very good. Every year 70-80% students get a job. Many companies come to our college. TCS is one of them. Students mainly get the role of assistant system engineer trainee. The average salary offered by the companies is around 3.3-3.6 lakhs per annum. Mainly TCS, Capgemini, Ericsson, MN Dastur come to our college for campus recruitment. Among them, most of the students are recruited by TCS.
Placements: TCS, Wipro, Ddt, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, IBM, Ericsson, Kreeti Technology etc. recruit from our college. Overall placement in CSE department is good. Though providing almost 90–95% placements in CS, ECE or IT, average packages aren't so jaw-dropping, and also core placements are pathetic, which is really demotivating sometimes and unattractive to a portion of JEE aspirants.
Placements: In our final year, a lot of big companies came to our college for placement like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Kriti etc. Almost 80% of the students got placed in various companies. The highest salary offered is 8 lakhs/annum, the lowest salary is 3 lakhs/annum and an average of 5 lakhs/annum. They mostly offered assistant engineers post and some management post too. Almost 40% of the students got an internship from our college. The stipend includes full and half exemption of tuition fees. ...
Placements: The placement of my batch and my previous batches are quite good actually. Especially in software depts, they are excellent. There are many companies for placement like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro, Ericsson. Also companies like Sankalp Semiconductor Pvt. Ltd, Invecas, Innofied Solutions, MakersLoft and few more. In our dept. there are companies like Bengal Beverage (connected with Coca-Cola bottle production), Godrej Pvt. Ltd. (salesman job offered), TCS etc. This year also Adobe is coming in our col...
Placements: In our batch, there are 68 students. For our senior batch of 2011, the campus placement scenario was good but it came down drastically since then and in our batch, the figure just got more terrific. Throughout the year, there were only four core companies in the scene e.g. BOC, Sanmar etc. The rest of all the companies that allowed us were IT companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra etc. In our batch, out of 68 students, a total of 18 students got placed out of which 13 were placed in IT companies and ...
Placements: It's a government engineering college placed in Kalyani, 50 km from Kolkata. The placement record for a few years for the core department is not good. The top 20 students of the mechanical department should be able to sit for good companies and the average salary is 3-4 LPA. Other departments' students and the rest of the students are able to sit for campus recruitments in IT companies. Students get internships at various IITs and NITs.
Placements: Mostly service-based IT companies such as TCS, Capgemini, Ericsson Global Services visited for the placements. Oracle Financial Services also recruited this year but only for the computer science department. TCS recruits in bulk among these companies, taking in approximately 200 students every year. The salary offered in these IT companies varies from 3-3.5 LPA. Sankalp Semiconductor also visits our campus but takes in only 1-2 students. The highest salary was that provided by Oracle at 4.25 LPA...
Placements: In our batch, most of the students were placed in TCS. Capgemini, Wipro, L&T Infotech and Oracle finance also took some students. For Mechanical, it was very bad. Only MN Dastur conducted on campus. In previous batches also, TCS took the most of the students. Highest salary was around 4-5 lakhs and the average was 3.3 lakhs and above. For internships, you have to arrange on your own and the college won't help you.
Placements: 1. Placement is decent, but for electrical engineers, never hope for too many core companies coming. Most of the companies which will come will be IT companies. 2. Most of the students will be placed. Around 80%. 3. The college's highest salary was offered by DDT, around 5 LPA. Lowest salary offered is 3 LPA. 4. The companies which visited the campus are TCS, TECH MAHINDRA, DDT, ORACLE, CAPGEMINI, M.N.DASTUR etc. 5. The students are generally offered the assistant systems engineer post. 6. The...
