Review of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology.

Placements: 95% of students were placed in my course. The highest package offered in my course is 3 Lacs to 6 Lacs and the lowest package offered in my course is 50000 to 1.5 Lacs. Top recruiting companies for my course are Cipla, Biocon, etc. 55% of students got internships from my course in Cipla company.

Infrastructure: The facilities provided by our college are Wi-Fi, lab, classroom, library, etc. The quality of food is the best but the medical facility is average because they don't have that much equipment and they have the sports facility and game facility, which is the best part of our college.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified and more knowledgeable, and the teaching quality of the teaching is the best because they teach in a way the student can more easily understand the topic. Yes, this course is curriculum relevant and it makes the students industry-ready easily. The semester exams are not much difficult when you study.

Many placement and internship opportunities are available.

Placements: In the 2023 summer placement, 75% of students got placed, 5% secured government jobs, 10% got internships, and some are still unemployed. In the summer and winter internship programs, everyone secured an internship with a good stipend amount. TCG Lifesciences provided the top internship. The salary package is 3 to 6 lakhs per year after the probation period.

Infrastructure: Believe in Me College campus and facilities are the best; they provide ample opportunities to explore yourself. The college provides a gym, swimming pool, basketball and tennis courts, and we have a big cricket ground. The main thing is our labs; teachers are highly experienced and specialists. Yes, we have our own hostel facility; washrooms are attached with water and electricity availability, but fee collection has a strict deadline.

Faculty: Teachers are very talented; some have their businesses in the Pharma sector. They have ideas about the industry and opportunities in microbiology. Our course is a post-graduation course with a 2-year duration comprising 4 semesters. The course is practical-oriented; more emphasis is given to practicals, but theoretical exams are important for scoring. Passing requires a minimum of 40 percent marks.

Other: Annual fests and functions are fewer in number, only once a year. No industrial visits are arranged by the college.

Completed M.Sc. in Microbiology at KIIT.

Placements: From the 4th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Zifo, Virchow, GSK Pharma, Nestle, Enzene Biotech, and more come as recruiters for the 2023 batch. Some students start their own startups or ventures after academics. 80 to 90% of students are placed in campus placement. The package ranges from the lowest 3 LPA to the highest 11 LPA. In our batch, we did not get any internships from the placement cell. Simply, if you want an off-campus internship, it's the only way to get one.

Infrastructure: Campus life is awesome at KIIT. The ambiance is excellent. The infrastructure is extensive, separated into many departments, but the sports ground is common for all students. All kinds of books are available in the central library, and in the college department library, study materials are available. Classrooms are good, but the benches are old. In the hostel, we get non-AC 3-bedded rooms. The facilities are excellent, and food is provided four times a day. For boys, the hostel is KP8, and for girls, QC6, both located on campus.

Faculty: The relationship between faculty and students is excellent. Most faculty members are well-educated, and their way of explaining topics is good. Also, in labs, practicals, their way of explaining is good, and we perform many experiments together. The college conducts one mid-semester and term-end exam per semester. Assignments and class tests decide the grades on the mark sheet; it's not very tough.

Other: College fees are an issue. They charge 1.85 Lacs per year, which is pretty high for middle-class students.

The best microbiology institute.

Placements: From the 4th semester, students become eligible for campus placement at Zifo, Virchow, GSK Pharma, Nestled, Enzene Biotech, and many more companies. During placement, 80–90% of students are placed for any job. There is a 6-month training period in which we have to work as interns, and a stipend is provided after the full-time job is given.

Infrastructure: There is a hostel on campus. We have 3-bed non-AC rooms, and the facilities are good. The food quality is average, with a variety of menu options including both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. College life is awesome here. The ambiance is too good here. They celebrate the grand festival; last time it was celebrated in April. All kinds of books are available in the central library, where all study material is available.

Faculty: The relationship between faculty and students is excellent. The majority of the faculty are excellent; the way they explore topics is exceptional; they help and explain practical things in an excellent way. Here, they take one midterm and one final end-of-semester exam per semester, and there will be class tests and assignments by which final semester grades are given.

Other: There is only one small issue: hostel cleaning is not done regularly; otherwise, the college has the best facilities.

Our college has helpful faculty members.

Placements: Different pharma companies, companies in the food department and drinking, and different IT companies with biological domains recruited students in good positions with good salaries. About 70-80% of students got jobs. I wanted to get a good job to gain knowledge in life and enrich myself.

Infrastructure: I chose a 3-seater air-conditioned non-premium room. There was a window air-conditioner in my room and 3 cupboards. Beds, mattresses, pillows, bedsheets, buckets, mugs, dustbins, etc., were provided. The quality of food served in mess was average. The bathrooms and washrooms were clean. Washing machines and laundry facilities were provided, but they were paid. The hostel fee was Rs.50000 per year.

Faculty: There was a teacher for 60 students. Teachers were highly educated and very good at explaining little things. Exams were tough. For every student, it was hard to pass. The class had 70 students. The course fee was Rs.150000.

Other: The worst pandemic scenario was the reason for my attraction toward microbiology.
