Course Curriculum at Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering

Based on the statements provided by students and alumni, the course curriculum at Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering is considered relevant to some extent. However, it lacks practical orientation and focuses more on theoretical knowledge. Here's a breakdown of the key points:

    * Relevance: Some students and alumni feel that the course curriculum is relevant to the industry, citing examples of courses like OOPs, SPA, and Data Structures being industry-oriented. [Student 15]
    * Theory-practical imbalance: Many students agree that the course curriculum is heavily focused on theoretical knowledge, with limited practical applications. [Students 14, 17, 23]
    * Industry readiness: While some students believe that the course curriculum prepares them for industry requirements, others feel that it falls short in making them industry-ready. [Students 11, 19]

It appears that the course curriculum could benefit from a greater emphasis on practical knowledge and hands-on experience to prepare students for the workforce.

Here are some bullet points summarizing the findings:

    * Relevant courses: Certain courses within the curriculum, such as OOPs, SPA, and Data Structures, are seen as industry-oriented.
    * Theory-practical imbalance: The curriculum is perceived as leaning towards theoretical knowledge over practical applications.
    * Industry readiness: Some students feel that the course curriculum adequately prepares them for industry requirements, while others express concerns about its effectiveness.

Overall, while the course curriculum shows promise, it requires further refinement to strike a better balance between theoretical and practical knowledge, ultimately preparing students for successful careers in the industry.

College is good for engineering. The campus area is small, and the infrastructure is okay.
Placements: 70% of students were placed in this course. 28 LPA was the highest package, and 3 LPA was the lowest offered. Top recruiters are Wipro, Accenture, and L&T. 70% of students secure an internship from this course in IT companies. Management, designer, developer, etc. are the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good enough; the library is good. Wi-Fi is also available, but speed is low in some places. Infrastructure is good, but the campus area is small. Labs are good with proper lab instruments. The quality of food available in the cafeteria is good, and medical facilities are available.
Faculty: Faculty are knowledgeable and experienced with good teaching quality. It depends on the student's level of dedication to be industry-ready; the course helps in improving. Semester exams are conducted by Mumbai University, as the college comes under Mumbai University, so the semester exams are difficult, and if not prepared well, high chances are of falling.

    Great infrastructure at the college.
Placements: This year, the college did not have many placements, and the companies that were hiring were mostly startups. They were offering around 3–4 LPA. The highest package that was given this year was 12 LPA. The college is still in the process of conducting the placement drive.
Infrastructure: The Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering does not have hostel facilities. The overall infrastructure of the college is very nice and big. The college has a total of two buildings: A buildings and C buildings. The college has a very big library with all the books and computer facilities.
Faculty: The college is under Mumbai University. The college follows the timeline given by Mumbai University. In every semester, there are two internal exams, and at the end of the semester, there is an external exam with all the file submissions and a viva with the external professor.

If you have skills based on coding, you can easily get highly paid, but it completely depends on you. There are many coding events and clubs in college that encourage us to get knowledge in coding.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is beautiful, with greenery everywhere; hygiene is maintained; there are many labs, sports fields, a canteen, library and everything is perfectly managed. The college is always clean and we have hostels with better facilities. WI-FI is also nice with fast speed.
Faculty: Faculty are really good; they help us a lot, and they are highly qualified. The curriculum is based on Mumbai University; it is nice. Exams are conducted in a very disciplined way. If you want to learn more in depth about any concept or thing, they always help us.
