B.E in Electronics Engineering - Batch of 2022
Offered by Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering
2.6

Our college provides jobs only in IT companies. It has good faculty members.
Placements: In our course, approximately 5% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. TCS and Infosys are the top recruiting companies. No one got internships from the college T&P cell. Only IT companies visit our college. None of the students got placed in any core company.
Infrastructure: In our department, the infrastructure is good, but we have the worst lab facility. Not a single CRO is properly working. There is no Wi-Fi for students, and classrooms are good. The library has a good amount of books, and they are very helpful.
Faculty: Almost all the teachers in our department have done Ph.D. They all have good experience and Knowledge. But there are few exceptions. Overall teachers are good and always help students. The course curriculum is designed by the university. If we want to do a job in the core field we must have to do a master's, only B.E is not sufficient. But many students are doing IT jobs by learning coding which is not part of the curriculum.
Other: I chose this course because there are good opportunities in electronics in India. Currently, Indian government is focusing on electronic manufacturing. In the future, we will have good jobs. But to become job-ready our course must be improved and there are a lot of things which are not provided in our course. More industry-focused subjects should be added. All events in our college are good. There is a good opportunity for extracurricular activities. We have a scholarship program offered by the government named TFWS which is based on student's score and each department have 3 TFWS seats. In this, all the tuition fees are waived off.

Our college is good, but it has a very high fee structure, even it charge the high exam fee.
Placements: Placements in our college are good. An average number of companies visit our college for placements. TPO is very good and helpful. TPO is very interactive with the students, and it takes care that our college is listed in every pool drive conducted in Mumbai. Our college also arranges a drive for core branches.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is average. Our college is very neat, clean and hygienic and even before lockdown handwash was kept in the washroom. Every day the cleaning staff cleans all the floors of our building. The college has a building attached internally, one building is of 7 floors, and the other is of 5 floors.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very helpful. They always help with our studies. They also arrange seminar and different workshops for students. They help us by giving question bank of important questions, which help us in the semester exam too. Faculty is value for the money paid.

Placement needs an improvement and it should be done quickly.
Placements: The placement of electronics branch is not that good from the last 2 years. Mostly IT companies visit the college for recruitment. Mostly students have to arrange an internship by themselves. Placement needs an improvement and it should be done quickly or it may affect the careers of many students.
Infrastructure: Excellent facilities and good infrastructure. Medical facilities are available for emergency cases. Food quality is average in canteen. Overall a good college with average facilities in case of canteen services as well as sports. Wi-Fi labs are very few but library is good.
Faculty: Teaching quality is good. Teachers are well educated and knowledgeable. Teachers arrange an industrial visit once in a year for students. Now the college has taken many new devices which are useful in labs. So I think they will be more useful for coming batches.

Choose Wisely by Reading the Reviews.
Placements: Particularly talking about my course, Electronics is the smallest branch strength-wise, also gonna be closed by this year. Only 10% of students got placed with an average salary. 75% of students from the computer branch got placed. Many of them are in MNC's like Wipro, TCS, Infosys, LTI, etc. With an average salary package of 3.6 LPA. The highest salary offered is 5 LPA by AWS. In my course, the lowest salary offered was 10K that too after 6 months of training with no pay. From my course, many students have done/doing internships in Railway, BSNL, Mazgaon Dock and BARC.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is well maintained in terms of cleanliness. 4 Lifts are available in 2 different buildings and they often malfunctions. Wi-Fi is available on campus but the password is not shared with students so basically no Wi-Fi facility. Labs are outdated, no modern equipment available. Computers are highly outdated. Classrooms are fairly simple having a green board and chalk with no modern teaching aids. Fully AC Seminar hall with Projector and sound system is available for each department (seating capacity: 90). The library is simple and organised. The hostel is not functioning. Quality of canteen food is average and rates are the same as outside. Medical facilities are very poor. College has a lawn where students are allowed to play football between 4 PM to 6 PM.
Faculty: In my course, teachers are well qualified and experienced. They are helpful up to some extent but things don't work due to lack of lab equipment. The teaching quality is very good. They use the seminar hall whenever required to explain topics with Audio-Visual presentation. Teachers help beyond the curriculum. Teaching, Practicals and lab equipment fails to make students industry-ready.
Other: I choose this course because I have a curiosity about Electronics. The best thing about my course is I get deep knowledge of very core field. The things to be improved about electronics is the syllabus should be updated. The hands-on project should be primarily made. (They are shutting down Electronics Branch; One of the Best Branch in Engineering)
Events are widely celebrated with poor management. Fest quality is significantly degraded, Campus crowd is good but needs proper guidance, the small campus provides excellent connectivity, campus surrounding is average, college doesn't provide any internal scholarship to encourage students, tons of extraaaa curricular activities are carried out.

The college has good infrastructure and amenities.
Placements: Almost 70% of the students get placed from the electronic branch. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA, the average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. The recruiting companies are L&T, Accenture and Mahindra. The roles offered are PCB design and programmer. Almost all students got an internship in Indian railway, Mumbai Metro, L&T.
Infrastructure: There is a Wi-Fi facility in the college. There are full functionality labs in the college. There are spacious, neat and clean classrooms in the college. Every branch has a seminar hall in the college. There is a canteen facility, and the college provides the best quality of food. There is the best gym in the college, and there is a first aid room in the college. There is a playground for football and cricket. There is also an indoor games room in the college.
Faculty: Teachers here are highly qualified. Teachers here are excellent with the best teaching quality and ready to help students. The electronics engineering curriculum is relevant, which is helpful in an industry level such as control system and so on. Faculty here are cooperative.
Other: I choose this course because I have a passion for a core electronic and I like to know about a product-related. The thing college need to improve is only a xerox room. The college conducts only one fest in a year, and many events branch wise. The campus is beautiful but not vast.
