I am satisfied, but it can be improved further.

Placements: I didn't apply for placements through college, but a few of my friends who applied got placed through the campus interviews. Placement training programmes were conducted by the college for the same. Salary packages offered are average as only one student from our course got through one of the major recruiters in the investment banking sector. There is an internship offered by Goldman Sachs, which is a wonderful opportunity to learn during the 2nd year semester holidays. Students who excel in their internships also get job offers from Goldman Sachs post-graduation. Several students from our batch had great learning experiences from the internship.

Infrastructure: There is no in-house hostel facility. Infrastructure is pretty decent, with a well-equipped library and smart classrooms. There is an in-house medical facility available during both morning and evening shifts of the college. Better focus can be given to sports as I think only students from the sports quota are well-groomed.

Faculty: The current curriculum of B.Com honours is integrated with chartered accountancy papers. It is advisable for students who wish to pursue CA along with graduation to take this course as it ensures that you don't lose connection with the CA syllabus. All foundation and inter papers are covered on an overview level. Few papers like tax, audit and law have exhaustive coverage. Teachers are qualified enough. Besides, several professionals like CA, CMA and CS are invited to conduct guest lectures frequently. In few subjects, a part of the syllabus is entirely done by such external practising professionals. Those classes are mostly scheduled apart from the regular college hours, so students must be prepared to take long college hours compared to other B.Com courses offered by the college.

Other: I have chosen this course because B.Com honour is a prestigious course, and MOP is one of the few colleges in Tamil Nadu for offering this course. The money spent is worth the guest lectures that are handled by the practising professionals. Learning opportunities from such professionals is huge if students used them in the right way. CA aspirants who wish to take CA classes from private institutes and also need college life should definitely opt for this course. It is a graduate degree with honours, and the number of papers with its coverage in the entire curriculum is higher than a normal B.Com course. Students must be ready to work more on projects and other assignments. Cultural fests are amazing with eminent guests, and there are several opportunities to participate and pursue our interests through inter-collegiate events and interdepartmental events that happen throughout the year. Sometimes, students may be asked to do some departmental work, which needs to be reduced.

One among the best colleges to study in Chennai.

Placements: The placements were good during our batch. Companies from different industries came for campus placements with different job profile requirements, thus providing a good placement opportunities to all the students. The senior batch students also experienced good placements.

Infrastructure: Situated in the heart of the city, MOP has numerous classrooms spread across its five floors. It also has a radio station of its own, where students can showcase their talents. There is a library with very good book collections, computer labs and a fountain in the foyer, making the campus look very beautiful. Though there is a space constraint due to the campus being in the city, the college has compensated with the facilities it offers inside the campus.

Faculty: MOP has a good set of faculty members who are qualified, knowledgeable and have an insight of the actual scenario in the market, so to give the students a good overview of the subjects and it's practical application. Some subjects were also taught with guest lectures by people from the industry, to provide us good knowledge on the subject matter.

Other: MOP conducts various cultural fests and celebrates every function in a unique manner. It also encourages entrepreneurs by conducting MOP Bazaar every year, giving the students an opportunity to experience being an entrepreneur.

Review of M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women.

Placements: Placement cell was good, and nearly 150-200 companies visited the campus for placements, and all the big 4 and startup companies were also invited. Placement cell helps the students to get placed easily, and training sessions are also conducted at regular intervals.

Infrastructure: The college is located at the heart of the city, and it is spread over 96 acres. The campus is lush green. There is a separate cell who maintain the cleanliness of the campus. The college has one of the biggest libraries in the southern region and has a vast collection of books.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are the best. The college has a mixture of youth and experienced faculty members. Faculty members are friendly and can be approached easily at any time. The student to faculty ratio is decent. Internships are also provided, and industrial visits are conducted.

Other: The college conducts many events, fests and departmental cultures at regular intervals. This helps students to gain more exposure.
