Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) - Batch of 2026

Decent College with Helpful Opportunities.
Placements: Almost 80-85% of students get placed every year, with an average package of 4 LPA. The highest package is 49 LPA, and the lowest package is 2-2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, TCS, Wipro, Walmart, Accenture, Microsoft, etc. Top roles offered in the course: Company Analyst, Company HR, Sales and Marketing Executive, etc.
Infrastructure: Maharana Pratap Group of Institutions, Kanpur has decent infrastructure, featuring multiple buildings dedicated to various departments. There are separate buildings for the Management Department, Engineering Department, Dental Department, etc. Classrooms are normal with a seating arrangement for 60 students, continuing with whiteboards, and there are no smart boards in classrooms. MPGI Library is a peaceful space with a wide range of books for study and reference. It’s well organized and ideal for students seeking knowledge.
Faculty: Teachers are generally experienced, with many having over two decades of teaching experience. They are approachable and conduct doubt-clearing sessions that foster a supportive academic atmosphere. The BBA curriculum at MPGI is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of business administration. However, the curriculum could be updated to align with the industry to provide more practical knowledge rather than just theoretical knowledge. There are 4 main exams:
Mid Semester Examination 1,
Mid Semester Examination 2,
Pre-University Exams,
University Examination.
These exams are moderately difficult, but with consistent study, students pass them easily. In addition to these, there are surprise tests and unit tests.
Other: I chose BBA because it offers a foundation in business and management and helps in developing various skills. Things that could be improved:
Practical exposure through industry alignment since the beginning of the course.
Students must get internships from the second year onwards.
The auditorium of the college needs renovation.
MPGI organizes cultural events, sports competitions, annual fests, carnivals, etc. Apart from these, extracurricular activities like debate clubs, sports teams, brainstorming activities, etc. The campus is surrounded by a peaceful environment and has a diverse mix of students from different backgrounds, creating a vibrant and friendly atmosphere. Connectivity to the city is decent, making it accessible for all.

The campus life and the honest review about MPGI.
Placements: The placements of the college are somewhere between average and above average. The top recruiting companies include TCS, Informatica, Capgemini, Wipro, HCL, etc. But it totally depends on the student themselves and how much proficiency they have in their skills.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is decent enough and even better than other colleges. The classrooms are well-maintained, and the library is good enough, with a wide availability of books for every subject. You can also find the latest editions of the books.
Faculty: The curriculum of the college is complete as per the university norms, and it is excellent. If any student is coming to the college daily, there is no chance for them to get a backlog in the end semester exams if they are studying daily in the college.

Reviewing my college life.
Placements: Not every student gets placed in this college. I got placed as - sales associate in Delhi with a package of 6 LPA. Sales nowadays is at boom. Deserving students get placed during recruitments in roles of HR, marketing, IT and finance. There are four major specializations that we study.
Infrastructure: The college does not have a very good infrastructure but it is fine. The college has the students are it’s best assets.
Faculty: The faculty is well educated and qualified. The faculty members of our college are good and knowledgeable teachers. They are supportive and have a good behavior. They are good at everything. They conduct activities for students’ learning.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to join corporate and get into high paying jobs.

Maharana, a glimpse of success.
Placements: Approximately 40 percent of the students are placed; the rest are still unplaced. The highest package was 12 LPA, and the lowest was 118,000 per annum. The top recruiting companies are HCL, Informatica, Webkul, Lumen, Cedcoss, NEC, and Nashtech. Roles offered were Python Developer, GET, Trainee, Sales Associate, Business Developer, and GCS.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was available in the college campus as well as the hostel. Labs were well furnished with updated systems and were fully air-conditioned with proper seats and high computational systems with configured software. The library was well furnished, though not air-conditioned, but had a great set of books and an enriching environment where you can study peacefully.
Faculty: Yes, teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was amazing. Yes, the course curriculum was relevant and helpful to make me understand the tools and techniques. The pass percentage is 33, and exams were of medium level, not very tough to pass and not very easy to clear without study.
Other: This course is the best course, and the branch was the emerging technology itself. More detailed topics I would add to my course to make it effective and interesting. Events and fests are amazing but happen only once a year; events are amazing but are very few in numbers.

I am satisfied. 70–80% of the faculty members are good. The staff is good.
Placements: The placement percentage in my course is approximately 85%. The highest package is around 12–15 LPA, the lowest package is approximately 2 LPA, and the average is typically between 5 and 6 LPA. The roles offered are software engineering, system analysis and network analysis.
Infrastructure: Certainly, here is an overview of the faculty members for my course and hostel. The campus is equipped with Wi-Fi, ensuring connectivity for research online resources and project work labs well equipped with modern faculty for practical learning in subjects like computer science.
Faculty: The faculty members were generally helpful, qualified and knowledgeable in there respected fields; they were approachable and often went the extra mile to assist students. The teaching quality varied among instructors, but overall it was good and the course was good.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2025

Not worth it for those who want only to study.
Placements: I did BCA and graduated this year, in 2025. The percentage of students placed from my course is around 10%, and I am one of the 10% of students who got placed. The highest package for BCA students is 8.7 LPA, and the minimum would be 3 LPA. Many companies come to our college, like Infosys, Wipro, Microsoft, Jaro, Learning Routes, etc. But there are no internship placements available from the college, so it is a negative point. After doing BCA, you'll be offered an associate role.
Infrastructure: So, I will give it 4 stars for that because I like the infrastructure and facilities of the college; it is quite good, so a thumbs up from my side. I am a day scholar, so I really don't have any idea about the hostel, but one of my friends is a hosteler, so according to him, rooms are decent but the food is not good.
Faculty: So, personally, I don't like the faculty of MPGI; some are good, but some are not. Students themselves have to put in a lot of effort to grasp the concepts. But the examination system of MPGI is quite good. They conduct three exams in college: Mid-1, Mid-2, and PUT before the final exam.
Other: I don't think it is value for money. Keeping events and everything aside, the faculty should be good, but it is not. And if talking about campus life, it is good, and MPGI is crowded, too; many students study there. They organize lots of events and fests, so that part is quite happening about the college.
