Q:   Question: How is the course curriculum for B.E. / B.Tech at MGIT?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

    MGIT's B.E./B.Tech Course Curriculum

Based on the reviews and feedback from current and former students, here's an overview of the course curriculum at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT):

    * Teaching Quality: Faculty members are generally well-qualified and knowledgeable, with many having PhDs and master's degrees in their respective fields.
    * Course Relevance: While some students feel that the course curriculum is relevant to the industry, others believe that it may not fully prepare them for the workforce.
    * Industry Exposure: Limited opportunities for industrial visits and project-based learning are mentioned by several students.
    * Practical Knowledge: Many students appreciate the emphasis on hands-on learning and experimentation in the laboratory settings.
    * Syllabus Coverage: The course covers all the required topics, but some students feel that the focus lies more on theoretical foundations rather than practical application.
    * Update: Some students recommend updating the course curriculum to reflect recent technological advancements and trends in the field.

Here are some specific comments about individual courses:

    Mechanical Engineering:
+ Covers both software and hardware aspects, allowing for flexibility in career choices.
+ Emphasizes practical problem-solving and experimentation.

    Computer Science and Engineering (CSE):
+ Offers a mix of theoretical and practical coursework.
+ Provides opportunities for internships and placements in leading tech companies.

    Electrical Engineering:
+ Prepares students for both public and private sector careers.
+ Includes project-based learning and experimental components.

Keep in mind that individual experiences and opinions may vary depending on personal preferences, interests, and strengths. It's essential to consider multiple perspectives before making an informed decision about pursuing a course at MANIT.

Q:   How successful is the placement cell in securing jobs for B.E. / B.Tech students at MGIT?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

    Placement Cell Success

    * According to students' reviews, the placement cell at MGIT is successful in securing jobs for B.E./B.Tech students, particularly in the IT and CSE branches.
    * Around 30-40% of final-year students get placed in various companies that visit the campus (Source: Student Review).
    * Companies like TCS and Wipro regularly recruit students from MGIT (Source: Student Review).
    * The highest package offered is reportedly INR7.5 Lacs per annum, while the average package is around INR5 Lacs per annum (Source: Student Review).
    * Nearly 50% of students from certain batches have been placed, with the top recruiters being Pacific, Wipro, TCS, Arcesium, Cognizant, and L&T (Source: Student Review).

However, it's worth noting that the placement success varies across branches, with fewer placement opportunities available for non-CSE/ECE streams (Source: Student Review). MGIT - The life of a Student.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in my course stands at 20% - 30% as of now. We are only halfway through the academic year, and that number will increase in due course. The top recruiting companies till now are Data BEAT, Cognizant, etc. Frankly speaking, not many students got an internship in my course. But that can be accredited as the students' fault, as the placement is working day in and day out to get the companies, and they are getting the companies, so much so that we are having one placement drive every week.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is pretty good. We have 30 acres of land and a total of 5 blocks for various engineering departments. The facilities too are good. We have a canteen and a food truck in the college that provide healthy food to the students.
Faculty: The faculty of my course is supportive, and they never say no to anything the students wish for. They are well-experienced and qualified. The quality of teaching is pretty good. The course curriculum is pretty good and relevant to what we need in the real world.
Other: One thing I would like to improve in my college is the lab infrastructure and the equipment in the lab.

    MGIT-Hyderabad - A mixture of all.
Placements: Around 87.3% of students get placed in this college. The highest salary package offered is 73 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 6 LPA - 7 LPA. TCS, Wipro, and Deloitte are some top recruiting companies. Around 70-80% of students get internships. There are many top roles offered to college students in internships and provide them with a good career of jobs and experience.
Infrastructure: MGIT provides good infrastructure with a great faculty providing well-equipped labs. There are decent classrooms for students. Students are provided with a hostel facility but only for boys. We have a decent canteen with a mess. The hostel facility of the college is a mixed hostel with CBIT which resides for MGIT. The hostel is good for staying and with a room strength of 10 people.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-trained and highly qualified. They have nice teaching skills. The college conducts semester exams on time without any delay of regulations. It conducts some good entertainment programs for the refreshment of students in the college.

Faculty shortage, average placements but overall experience was good.
Placements: I chose CSE with AI and ML as specializations. Almost 30% of students got placed this year. The highest package was from Providence at 11 LPA, the lowest package was from Deloitte at 3.25 LPA and the average package is around 4.5 LPA. Cognizant and Deloitte are the top recruiters for our course. The top role offered is SDE intern.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is provided in library and the department has two well-equipped labs. The hostel is 2 km away from the college, and the food is not that good. The sports room is available after 3 p.m. every day and has indoor games. The college has a medical room with beds and emergency medicine.
Faculty: There is a shortage of faculty for this new specialisation course as there are new core subjects in the 3rd and 4th years. Even though the college got autonomous status, it is still following the old curriculum, which is not according to industry standards. Exams are moderately difficult if you attend at least 50% of classes and study before exams.

I have found good friends and faculty where I can learn about life.
Placements: 70% of students got placed. The highest package was 36 LPA, the lowest was 2.5 LPA, and the average was 3.5 LPA. Cognizant, Mahindra, Amazon, TCS, and others more than 70 to 80% of students, with different packages. The top roles are Cognizant, and some of them got internships and stipends in Mahindra Tech.
Infrastructure: No, it's not a Wi-Fi campus, but the classrooms are pretty good, and the labs are good. The quality of the mess in the hostel is average, and moreover, the hostel is full of students, which makes me feel full, and I won't feel lonely anytime. All of them spend a good time in the hostel.
Faculty: The faculty is good and helpful, and they are highly qualified, but some of them are the worst. Yes, the students are ready for industry experience. The semester exams are easy. Moreover, the seniors and juniors are meant to be your brothers and friends. You may have the opportunity to learn.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because of my passion for DRDO and BHEL-like reputed services.

MGIT, the college you should know.
Placements: There are no better placements in the college. They provide normal placements between 4 to 5 Lacs package per year. Only 5% or 6% of people are getting placed. No better placements are provided by the college management of MGIT to the students.
Infrastructure: The faculty is very good, but there should be better infrastructure than at present. As per the hostel, the food is better than outside hostels, but in the college, the infrastructure should be modified. Better systems should be provided to them. There is no Wi-Fi facility for the students.
Faculty: As we talk about the exams, there are more exams conducted by them. This system should be changed. Due to this system, the students may get stressed, and no knowledge is stored by the students. They don't have much practical knowledge due to exam pressure. According to the semester, a maximum of 90 percent will be passed.
Other: There are fests in this college. The fests are very considerable, and there is a huge crowd during the fests held at the college.

If you are looking for good campus life and infrastructure, then I would recommend MGIT.
Placements: Placements are excellent in college. Nearly 30 companies are visiting the college. Pre-placement training is also conducted every week for the sixth-semester students. On average, 15 students are placed from our IT department every year. There is a good scope for the students who are very well skilled.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is above average in the college. MGIT is in the phase of developing infrastructure with new computers, labs, Wi-Fi, etc. There may be some problems with infrastructure in the college. Lab assistants will be there for assisting students who face problems regarding equipment in the lab.
Faculty: Teachers at MGIT are very well qualified. Teaching is very good. Syllabus completion by faculty is effective. Faculty will interact with students and solve the doubts and queries that students encounter while teaching the classes and after completion.
Other: Coming to my batch, it started in 2021. I'm in the Information Technology course. There will be a better future for the students who are opting for Information Technology.
