Model engineering college is one with improper campus and infrastructure, but excellent faculty members, great teaching, great support from the lab faculty, and the main event is its Techfest Excel which is like a carnival here. The placement here is just great. The core companies recruit students with great salary packages. Of the 5 students selected for Google Summer of Code from India, 2 were from this college. It is one of the only two colleges were NVIDIA also visited for campus placement. ...

Considered one among the best Engineering College in Kerala, under even more prestigious Cochin University. Batch strength is less which adds to more attention from teachers and better placements. Large Campus and have up to date Electronics and Computer Science Lab. A lab which ensures that all the students can have an access to the equipments at the same time. One among the only institute which offers Bio-technology program. For Placements we have seen companies like NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Ora...

Less number of students but best placements that you can witness in Kerala. Fees are very low so the ROI stands at higher stage. Located in the heart of the city. Excellent hostels and can boast about the CUSAT University. Computer science and electronics labs are really good. It conducts fests which sees active participation across south India. Very good companies like NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Amazon do visit the campus. It provides 100% placements.

This is one of the Engineering Colleges in Kerala, whose name speaks for itself. It has amazing placements and the fests organized by the College are worth it. The college also has lot of club activities which happens actively. They do not give equal preference to internal and external exam. External exam has more weightage .Teachers are good as well as their approach is also friendly. Students here are extremely friendly and try to enjoy their life to the maximum. The college is well connected with the corporate world and is a placement paradise for the students. Also it is ranked among the top colleges and has very well experienced faculty. Students are supported and encouraged at every step. The campus is very small and the college lacks funds to expand its operations.

I studied Electronics and communication engineering. Pros: The college provides fabulous exposure through programs like Technopreneur, excel, quizzes, clubs etc. It has student driven placements and excellent placement records. The college is located very close to the city and is accessible. It has a great alumni network. Cons: There is a lack of infrastructure and the college lacks in the quality of teaching.

Model Engineering College, unlike most other engineering colleges, is not a big college considering the size of the campus or number of departments. But I must say if I am someone in life today, it is because of my college. The placement statistics are very high, about 95%. The quality of teachers is very good and extra curricular activities are also in good number, be it sports or arts or managerial events.

Model engineering college (MEC) is one among the three engineering colleges in Kerala which is most demanded from the students' crowd who seek admissions into engineering colleges. Though the college lacks some of the advanced facilities, which a premium college should have but, it has got numerous resources like the college's own Debian, OS, compiler etc. Model engineering college would soon grow into like the most premium institutes of the country (IITs, NITs). You can also be part of India's best technical event Excel. There is also chances to exhibit your artistic and sports talents.

Model Engineering College is good for those who concentrate on academics.

Placements: Model Engineering College has a unique student-coordinated Placement Cell that embodies the noble principle of 100% placements for students. In Mechanical Engineering, almost 50% of students got placed in various core companies, with the highest package being 12 LPA and the lowest being 6 LPA.

Model is good for everything but in campus life, it has low value compared to other colleges.

Placements: In the last year, out of 400, around 320 students got placed and the rest of them planned for PG in our college itself. Ansys has come with around 33 LPA for last year. Byju's, Ansys, and Amazon are the main recruiters for our college.

MEC has a nice infrastructure. It is affiliated by the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.

Placements: Adobe, Amazon, Wipro, Bosch, Cypress, Windows, Broadcom, DE Shaw, and Deloitte are the top companies where students are recruited. A minimum GPA of 8 is very important for having a placement without any issues. The roles offered here are as technicians, engine mechanics, IT professionals, researchers, etc.
