MEC Kochi BTech course admission is entrance-based. The admission process involves application form filling, shortlisting of students based on KEAM score, and seat allotment. A cutoff list is released after conclusion of application procedure to declare minimum score required in examination for a candidate to become eligible for selection. MEC Kochi has not released a separate placement report for BTech as of now. However, as per an overall report, the highest package offered in the 2022 placement drive was above INR 32 LPA. A total of 416 job offers were received in the academic year 2021-22. The majority of offers were made to CSE students and the count stood at 160. For now, Model Engineering College Kochi does not accepts JEE score. Candidates are offered seats in BTech based on KEAM score. Allotment to 95% (50% merit- regulated fees and 45%- full fees) seats is made by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE), Government of Kerala. Once shortlisted, candidates need to pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the college.

KEAM 2025 counselling schedule will be announced after the result is out. CEE will hold the KEAM counselling online only. Through KEAM 2025 counselling, candidates can seek admission into the KEAM participating colleges. Eligible candidates will be allotted seats through KEAM counselling 2025 on the basis of the KEAM rank list, marks data entered and availability of seats in a particular college. KEAM 2025 seat allotment is done through a Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) based on the ranks obtained by candidates in the entrance test. Candidates who receive an allotment letter should remit the fee/balance fee (if applicable) payable to CEE in any of the Head Post Offices in Kerala or by way of online payment.
